I have this truck in white. It has the safety package with blindspot monitoring and the WT convenience package with the sliding rear window with defrost and cruise control. It’s a fair truck at a fair price 32k.
I ended purchasng this truck in the WT trim with tbe LB3 engine, tech package towing and WT convenience package. Throw some new wheels and tires on it and it looks quite good! It has all the bells and whistles i need. Just replace the speakers (which is the case on almost all factory speakers) and that's really all it needed. It was nice to save money for financing and just add the extra stuff to it as I go and the money becomes available. It's kind of a blank slate. Plus the dealer would do the supplier pricing on the WT trucks.
When I bought my 2022 Colorado WT I got lucky and was able get a infotainment system from a wrecked Z71 Colorado of same year. Took me and a buddy a whole day to switch it out and it works great.
The fact this truck has its lights control access thru the infotainment is disturbing. Seems like they don't want you to have easy control of your lights? Too cheap to throw the standard light knob on the truck? How is that even up to code? And why? Huge no no for me. Another one of these tech savvy dummy trucks. They want to be able to shut your whole truck off thru the OnStar anytime they seem necessary. Honestly what is that? Should tell you what these bastards have sold out too. It's also pure cheapness. If they save $50 off the build cost for them by elimination of the light knob, and let's say they sell a million of these trucks over the next years, that's another 50 million in their pockets..that's what all this is about, also why they cheapskate on other parts

I have heard that the WT trim is louder with engine noise inside the cab, due to less insulation. Can anyone confirm that versus the next trim level LT?
I have the WT with the Base engine and it doesn’t bother me. You hear the engine revving from a stop but once the transmission shifts into an OD cruising gear it’s basically silent. Just hearing some road/wind and tire noise at that point but it’s not unlivable. This is a WT after all.
I went through all the lower packages and ended up with the Z71 I have ordered and is already built. It's been stored at the lot in Missouri for almost two months now. To get an AT4, it would have cost me an additional $4,000 to get the options I wanted.
As long as you make sure the option is on the window sticker for the low output engine. If you get a Turbo Plus W/T or LT or higher trim it will come with it automatically.
32k for the cheapest model on a mid size truck with interest rates at 8.5 to 9% with good credit in a crumbling econemy........ doubt car sales will be very good for a while
Nice truck for the average person to use in their business, fleet, etc. The truck should definitely have at least one front recovery hook. Two-wheel drive trucks can get stuck with no problem.
I've seen some W/T trucks with front tow hooks because they only come with 4WT models which I believe means 4WD. So 2WD W/T or LT will not come with front recovery hooks.
The decision to only offer one configuration makes this an odd fit for most businesses. The fuel economy isn’t that impressive either. Sure the base price is amongst the lowest in the segment, but the value really isn’t there IMO
The truck is still very capable with the G80 rear locker. It may not be ideal for severe conditions but as a whole this truck shouldn't have an issue in most conditions.

Companies that buy fleet trucks would rather have an extended cab with a bigger bed. Double cab seems overkill and not that practical for company use.

Haven't compared directly, but the noise inside my wt is relatively quiet, more quiet than I expected.

The work truck looks great. I'm happy about that, it don't look cheap like previous gens, but the low towing capacity sucks for the price still.
Yeah 3,500 is fairly low but if you opt for the Turbo Plus engine then you'll get the full 7,700 capacity.

I dont understand why they require stepping up $1400 other options just to get the center console armrest.
The piece behind the rear wheels you call the "air dam" , is probably to keep road dirt, mud, etc from covering the rear bumper/fender.

Bed is too short and not 48 inches between wheel wells so no pallet loading. This is a no go.
32k…sooo a dealer will have it priced at 40k.
