Assassinating the field marshal on legendary. Now for LASO... This is my most viewed video now. Algorithm did it's stuff, praise be. #halo #halomcc #haloreach
@@dominikschachner7208I got one on The Silent Cartographer after I had wedge the Warthog in a door at an angle that pinned Master Chief if he got out.
Iirc there's actually a failsafe for checkpointing into a deathloop. After too many deaths too close to the respawn the game will assume the checkpoint is bad and spawn back at the previous checkpoint.
Halo 2 was actually a little smarter with checkpoint, after so many deaths, it would actually revert to the checkpoint _before_ that so you could escape such deathloops.
Reminds me when Roosterteeth had Gavin and Michael play Silent Cartographer for a challenge and they ended up accidentally get themselves stuck in a loop where every time the checkpoint would reset, one would backstab the other and drop good weapons into an unreachable hole. That bit went on for several minutes as they were trying to save the situation by constantly reloading.
The last level truly is one of the hardest on legendary difficulty fr man. I don’t even get on the Mac gun until it’s actually time to fire because it’s a death wish with the phantoms hitting you ahha
I tried to do that but the phantoms start to stack after a while, I think 3-4 just sit there and hover (not to mention the banshees!). As soon as you try to enter the MAC it's RNG whether or not you'll land the shot. Think I used the 3 Splaser's to try and clear it out first
The phantom shots only hit you if they hit the canopy where you sit. If the shots hit the gun itself it does less damage. I just moved the gun to tank the hits until i could shoot the phantoms down then hit the carrier.
There's a very specific pattern you have to follow shooting as fast as you can to kill the phantoms and banshees in the right order to live. It's barely possible and still sometimes down to RNG
If you have a few hours to waste and want to have fun, try playing the last section of the pillar of autumn on (legendary with the skulls that make ennemies rank higher and have more health) using mainly the shotgun. You'll get your ass kicked but once you get into the rythm it's awesome
@@Arveltheswift More lucky my ammo didn't run out, all the zealots beforehand with the marshal constantly fuel roddding from above is pain. Definitely harder than it seems lol
Well not too bad. I glitched halo infinite to where I died in a further mission and the checkpoint was in a more past part of the mission so when I died it spawned me there and spawned me out of bounds so when I kept spawning in I just kept dying over and over
Here is a challenge for you, learn how to assassinate sword elites who are running at you. Then.. Hardest thing I did in Reach was downloading the "Ooops all Ultras" mod and on Nightfall Legendary. Jump down on the first group of enemies and assassinate/beatdown them all as they are trying to get you. (Should be 7 Ultras with mixed concussion rifles and focus rifles + 1 with a sword). It is possible, gl hf
Could also practice on the seven sword generals of the tribute room Easter egg :) Good idea though! Luckily I just bought MCC on sale for PC so I might give it a shot!
The field marshall that I killed is one of the toughest enemies on legendary difficulty and getting an assassination on it is pretty tough. The fuel rod/sword combo is strong.
If you can't beat something on legendary, do heroic first. Long range weapons and picking the enemies off before engaging further is most always the way to go. If you need help with something specific you can comment again and I'll answer just do the @ thing. Halo reach wasn't too hard for me in terms of legendary, I think it's definitely a good starter one if this is your first legendary run ever.
When I saw the death scene AND the checkpoint saved.. that triggered some heavy ptsd in me lmao
One second later, and that checkpoint would have been a death sentence...
same bro, i thought he was gonna be stuck in a loop
I still wont forget my checkpoint while falling down with a scorpion ☠️ assault on the controllroom ptsd 🤣🤣

Elite: Impossible, I watched you die!
Noble 6: I got over it!
"Did you die?"
"Unfortunately, yes...BUT I LIVED!"
"Let's agree to disagree." - J in MIB 3
“Spartans never die. They’re only missing in action.”

I remember getting checkpoints in Halo 2 and it saved where I fell down a cliff with a warthog smh

If it was on Delta Halo while the bridge was forming... same lmao.
ASSASSINATION! Reach introduced the best thing backsmack had to offer. Damn you 343!
"And that's for Noble Team, you son of a bitch!" Nice job, definitely the most satisfying enemy to get an assassination on.
@@onecrazycanuck007 except That Elite wasn't responsible for Carter and Jorges death but he was responsible for killing Cat and Emile

Isn’t that the elite that’s been hunting you since the beginning of the game
Yep!
Yessir! And the weight of his heresy stayed his feet…
@@halonut8498I’ll be honest I actually swore and yelled when I killed it and I beat the zealot down the stairs
Man, you are so lucky.
Definitely
Noble Six: That's for Cat, Emile, Carter and Jorge
But Jorge and Carter didn't die because of that Elite they gave their lives willingly Cat and Emile were killed by that Elite
First I thought your EMP blast super-exploded or something.
I thought his EMP hit the fuel rod mid air and it blew up right in his face.
@@DJ_Mooseknucks That would be awesome if it could happen
i saw Checkpoint and thought you were gonna be stuck in a loop
always tbag that elite specifically
This is how I beat him, a plasma pistol and a DMR but mine was one lucky headshot.
I thought his pistol exploded in his hand for a second
very satisfying way to end this.
HE MADE IT!!!!!!!
So damn lucky 😂
I got lucky with the plasma knockback and melee stun, else he would've stabbed me there too.

I have come to bargain. (That is perfect lol)
Now to suck at trying to kill phantoms on the MAC 😂
They do so much damage on legendary, I had to memorize the spawns to live
@@halonut8498 Same here. It made me die inside when I found out it's possible to just sit outside the cannon and then get in once the cruiser is ready
All you gotta do is wait on the stairs till Keys panics and says fire now spartan. One shot to the glassing beam and done.
Not the cleanest kill, but got the job done.
Any tipes for a noob surviving on legendary
