The fact the he survived 4 grunts with fuel rods but not 5 grunts with plasma pistols is hilarious. That 2001 AI was geeking against 5 grunts but it handled 4 nicely.
Well it makes sense. The plasma is way faster, fuel rod easily dodgeable. I've definitely died way more times to grunts and jackals pistoling me to death. *I'm looking at you ODST* One usually hits you with a charge then the rest pepper your ass 🤣
I feel like Plasma pistols were better back then. Also, fuel rods are slower, so despite being the better weapon in most cases, it has less burst damage.
of all of noble team that fought the zealot, only Jun and Noble 6 survived. coincidence? since jun survived reach and we all know noble 6 is still hiding out in a cave alive and well
Noble six “surviving” because he had much more health than the others is actually the same kind of plot armor for him behind every “Noble six is alive” theory. Very fitting
It's because Reach's armor/shield system is broken as fuck. On legendary its a fucking chore to kill those assholes. I beat it on legendary and didn't touch the game for six fucking years after.
I am pretty sure every elite from every game will do that. In 2 and 3, they will even do their battle cry and pull out an energy sword. Don't remember exactly in 4 or at all in 5 or Infinite, but CE through Reach they definitely all do
Most AI do when they are shown off in these videos. Not sure why, but it does not help when explosions also turn them around and they have to slowly turn back
It is not even all the AI, but more of how fast they move and their animations. Reach was faster so the enemies were less vulnerable. CE characters were generally slower in all regards. The one thing though is Reach enemies are all aggressive, so if you get close, they will pretty much always go in for a melee. In CE, they may back up or go in depending on the situation

Seems one of the few things that can kill a CE Zealot is overwhelming firepower, other than that they're almost completely unkillable. Even Emile can't stand up to them. Especially when 16:06 Emile: "You and me are going to have some fun." Elite: "Try." *laughs before running off* "Lousy piece of crap." Perfect exchange between the two.
Well mostly plasma as you can see with the grunts just spamming plasma pistol. IIRC headshots with regular KE round human weapons also do the same too.
I think a lot also depends on how much health they have, Kat died immediately for instance whereas 6 took multiple hits before killing the elite. I think it depends on what their health is set to

Only thing that could “really” kill a Zealot would be a brute or a spartan, anything else, realistically would fall. Meaning a Zealot wouldn’t “run it straight” without taking cover and all that crap. I’m pretty sure a “Zealot”wouldn’t fight without it’s brain.
they honestly would excactly do the opposite. Run in straight and pray to the Rings that the enemy doesnt have anything stronger that magnums. There is a reason why the covenant was loosing most ground battles. I mean their names are literally "zealots"

I know Reach Plasma Pistols have a buff against shields. Not sure if it applied here.
@@minizimi3790 I never knew that! Cool!
That’s why the fuel rods suck. They are slow
H1 Zealot continues to be a beast, but that loss to five grunts is pretty embarrasing.
Yup.
But then proceeds to slaughter grunt ultras and fuel rod grunts with no problem... make it make sense.
It is not everyone knows grunts are gods
its because the reach plasma pistol got buffed for its non-overcharge shot

Emus much worse look up the emu war
Welcome to Australia

6:22 What a disgrace to the covenant! That elite went into hiding while his squad gets massacred! The prophets would be disappointed.
Thats exactly what they do. Hide after you kill the allies and pop out and kill you before you can retaliate
And the fact of the fear he felt when one of the Zealots discovered him and said 'There!' pointing at him and warning the others💀

jun survived because he recognized the fact that dying is gay and left
> You’re one of the covenant’s best units, trained in the art of combat

Dude the Halo Reach Elites were something else. I still can't believe their zealot with a sword beat the CE one.
There art design isn’t as good tho the ce elites more slick reptile look is way more badass

@same0882 that's why I said they're something else, it meant they were crazy to fight.
@@same0882 lmao they were horseshit. Plasma grenades bounced off of them, they're utter trash.
I love how this shows just how absolutely terrifying Reach Elites are by putting them up against one of the most infamous enemies of the early 00s.
This video has by far the most laughing Elites after a kill.

She must be related to Vasquez

“Butt wad” lmao
12:58 Lovely conversation
5:55 halo reach elite melee animation is just too fast for the zealot lol.
Probably because in the older games it was so easy to dodge. A very good decision overall, but sad for the CE elite
Oh that Zealot. Laughing like a TF2 Engineer.
“We lost that round marines.”
“GOOD.”
Even though the Reach elite was stuck with a CE grenade, he still did the battle cry. So cool.

Five Grunts can take down a Zealot, but not two Spartans?
Plasma moment
Old Plasma pistols will be missed.
Of course. It's canon.
