Back in the 90's they surveyed the major league hitters with the best bat speed. The one thing they all had in common... they all played tons of wiffle ball growing up. I always trained guys with wood and *Heavy Wood.* With a heavy wood bat the body doesn't like the lack of barrel speed and *Very Quickly* figures out the efficiency needed to achieve the same bat speed as with the lighter bat. When that efficiency is then transferred to the lighter bat the barrel speed increases. *Training hitters is so damn simple it's ridiculous and heavy wood makes it even simpler.*
The biggest thing isn’t so much bat speed it is and it’s not it’s more about exit velocity if you swing the bat at 60 mph but slow down it’s no good the biggest thing is not slowing down at contact which unfortunately a lot of people do they may not even know they are doing it this was one of my biggest things I would swing at about 75 mph but slow down to 68 just after contact so everything has already started to decelerate it really kills your home run and distance potential by not marking sure your finishing the swing all the way through the ball is going to slow the swing down some but mechanics and strength training can very much so minimize this problem
Fast food has nothing to do with it. Eating fast food is giving you fat but is also giving you fiber and protein which are good for muscle and strength unless you workout everyday and leave 2days free to rest your good you'll burn the fat and the fast food will actually be giving you strength 💪🏾👍🏽
