Four ideas which were cemeted in my mind were practice hitting into the outfield gaps; utilizing over weight/under weight bats; imploring the kids to eat nutrionally valuable food; and weight lifting. The last point is very important, as there are not as many strong and fit farm/ranch boys coming into the leagues these days compared to days past. Keep up the great work.
Good stuff Jermaine! Hunt fastballs and keyhole early in the count. Train hitting the ball out front. Setting the tee out front is called the Long Tee Drill. Justin Turner of the Dodgers turned his career around by changing his approach and implementing this drill. Extension, the Power Vee is essential. Pitchers want to tie hitters up. Especially that lead arm. No juice in an Alligator arm swing. Yes, overload and under load training. In running, Sprinters train to improve their speed by running faster and getting stronger. They don’t jog, they don’t run distance. They sprint up hills, they sprint down hill, they pull sleds or parachutes for resistance. Train your bat like a sprinter! And Jermaine, you touch on diet, weight training and rest. Each has to be applied equally to get the true benefits of over all training. 33% of each across the board.
The B.A.T. Method: Build Strength: We start by building the muscles that matter most in your swing-your core, legs, and upper body. Strength training is the foundation that allows you to create more force and translate that force into faster bat speed. Activate Explosiveness: Next, we work on turning that strength into speed. Explosiveness is key to maximizing your exit velocity, and we use drills that fire up your fast-twitch muscle fibers, helping you swing the bat quicker and with more power. Train with Variety: We mix in a variety of drills to challenge different aspects of your swing. The goal is to keep your muscles adapting and improving to boost your bat speed and exit velocity.
Biggest take away was aiming for the gaps and getting balls out Infront. Definitely the second because I noticed when I work oppo I start losing my power swing so this helps thx.
Can you possibly break your wiffle ball bat by doing this? I am 11 years old trying to be able to hit a home run by the end of this year and thank you for the tips.

I haven’t watched the video..Yet but one thing that helped me was swinging all the way through and using your lower body.
Amazing, Congrats 👏 Kaleb! Keep working hard and keep getting better
2 things I learned: 1 - always watch until the end for that bonus tips and 2 - start preparing your body with proper exercise and good nutrition!
