I have always found the Selina Kyle/Catwoman and Bruce Wayne/Batman dynamic interesting as it is the one "relationship" in the DC Universe where Selina does have a moral code to some degree but is still a cat burglar. Depending on what representation it is in the comics or in animation or live action, you never know what version you are getting of Selina as it runs the gamut.
You know at this point with all the crimes Joker has done, Gordon could just have shot joker and no one would even question why he did it. Saves everyone time

I have always wondered why no one other than Batman ends up killing the Joker and I think I know why: cause if another no killing superhero or the Justice system killed him, he’d win. Let me explain, taking away everything involving Batman, Joker wants to force someone to cross the line or to make a grand show of his death, after all, in the Arkham games, his fear was of being forgotten, if they do what they usually do for the death sentence, then he wins because he either makes a hero break their code, or his death will be on a grand stage that won’t be forgotten, and the average civilian won’t pull the trigger either cause of the effect Batman has on the city, Joker is essentially in the perfect situation to win in the end because if he makes a hero break their code and kill him he wins, if the Justice system does their normal act for the death sentence he wins cause it won’t be forgotten, and the average citizen wants to follow Batman’s code due to the effect he has on the city, ensuring he never gets killed by a nobody
While the scene follows Jim Lee’s pencils brilliantly, it lacks the emotional depth. What made that scene work in the comic are the flashbacks to all the crap the joker has done to Batman and his family over the years and how this is the culmination of everything poured out through his fists. His childhood friend has been murdered by the joker only because he came back into his life. The weight of the curse of his double life. Without those flashbacks, without the continuity of Jason’s death and Barbara’s paralysis, this scene just feels hollow. Another beating.

Numero_Uno_ Loser He let’s Batman slide on the whole Vigilante thing, only because he doesn’t kill. Once you kill as a vigilante it’s easier and easier.
It would be more appropriate if a regular cope chose to kill the Joker during a fight against the clown and his grunts. Gotham is probably used of Death and casualties in military operations against criminals. What is dangerous with Batman breaking his code and killing the Joker is that there's a high possibility that once Batman experienced the taste of killing, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from killing criminals everytime after, even criminals that prove themselves able of redemption. In some comics and alternate universe, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and even the Riddler were on the right side at some point. Villains like Dr Freeze are just desperate humans being doing the wrong thing for understandable reasons. And let's not forget that Selina was a Buglar, and I remember a comic when Jason was sent to an alternate universe where Batman killed the Joker for what he did to Jason, and began killing all the bad guys that where in his way. In this universe Batman became an enemy of the Justice League who didn't agree with his methods, and we even see Bruce keeping trophies of the enemies he killed, one of those trophy was catwoman mask 😰. This is not a well known comic or even a great one, but the concept is very great and this is something that would definitely help Jason understand why Batman can never break his code. That's why Batman cannot kill, or Superman for that matter given what he became in Injustice. For Superman case, willingly killing someone with his powers would make him embrace his "godlike" self, something that would make him forget his humanity and his empathy towards fellow humans and heroes. As for Batman, he's a kind man deep inside, but the trauma of his parents deaths left him mentally unstable. He made this trauma his strength, but the fact remains that he's a very damaged person, and that killing someone would have more dire consequences on his psyche than for someone else. That's why the Joker chose Batman to be his greatest arch nemesis, he's aware of the dark beast Batman keeps in cage inside himself, and seeing that beast unleashed is something the Joker would love to witness, or would love the fact that his death from the bat's hand could unleash this beast. But this is my subjective opinion, I could be wrong about Bruce/Batman character. Some of Gotham inhabitants wouldn't hold it against the bat if he killed the Joker sure, but the rest would be terrified of the potential birth of a Batman freed from his moral leash
That was a pretty good Joker portrayal IMO. His character always works best when he's trying to make batman snap and making jokes while batman is beating him mercilessly and smiling while getting strangled is about as on brand as it gets.

Rakshack Returns thats just implying whos robin but tim and jason have never been announced or even mentioned in this universe and barbara hasnt even been paralyzed so this line is just a simple question asking who robin is
In this universe we miss a lot of the Batman lore..Given how only Dick and Damian are the only ones of the bat family to be allowed on screen the emotion falls flat. Any rage against the Joker is less understandable since Jason has not been seen or let alone even mentioned. All this scene did is make Batman look crazy.

I can imagine,Penguin,Two-face,Gordon and other cops and criminals having a conga line and celebrating wit a huge party with a giant sign above saying "Joker is dead 🥳🥳🥳" and Gotham setting off more fireworks that the 4th of July

@Milomondo Jason Todd Joker beat him with a Crowbar and blew him up
Milomondo the current robin in this film is Damian Wayne. The fourth robin
To be honest, the art style is very different from Jim Lee’s work in my opinion. So I don’t think it even follows that too well.

Also Gordon: Never shoots Joker despite him being a wanted murderer
Commissioner Gordon all you had to do was let that one slide. Literally no one in Gotham PD would snitch against Batman if they saw him kill joker.
@Francisco Leyva Martin Might wanna work on your English a little.
I don’t think ANYONE would snitch about Batman assisting in Jokers suicide
That was a pretty good Joker portrayal IMO. His character always works best when he's trying to make batman snap and making jokes while batman is beating him mercilessly and smiling while getting strangled is about as on brand as it gets.
