I think we will see something very similar to what we saw against N. Texas. Probably start off heavy run against Cincy, with a lot of RPO/play-action Think this will be a game Behren does really well....Cincy is something like 90th in total defense, so there is some holes there to exploit
If Cincinatti wants to play a 3-3-5 against us we just have to remain patient. RPOs to keep the secondary guessing. Counters. Draws up the middle. I can see us being successful with runs right up the middle. We could use Cam Brown at QB in the QB power run game. We can play the cat and mouse game of pounding the rock up the middle and play action passing a post up the middle all game. Bearcats had problems stopping the QB power game in that 3-3-5. Short passes. Screens. Slants. Out routes. Hitches. I like our RBs vs their LBs. We can stress their defense with runs up the middle with a combination of power and speed. I would test their LBs from time to time with outside run plays with speed. Swing passes with speed against the LBs. Attack their LBs with speed and big TEs in the pass game. *Crossing routes. Wheel routes. Incorporate miss direction. Jet Sweeps, end arounds, with speed. Positive big yards on first down. 4,6,8,12,ect. Keep the choo choo train steam rolling first downs all the way to the touchdown. If Cincinatti changes the 3-3-5 just adjust accordingly. I want to see Zach get into the flow and stay in the flow from start to finish. Against Sorsby we need to disguise our secondary. Show man play zone. Show zone play man. Play press. Play off. Disguising both. Disguise blitzes. Delayed blitzes. Blitzes from all over the yard to keep Sorsby guessing. Man to man blitzes. Zone blitzes. Bring a backer and drop a DL. Create a lot of confusion for Sorsby. If we can generate pressure with a 4 man front with out blitzes that is huge. Twists on the DL. Edge rushers have to get to the QB. Collapse the pocket from the interior so Sorsby cant step up into the pocket and into throws. Show a cover 4 one play and then an all out blitz the next. When we get to Sorsby we need to punish him with hits early and often to rattle em and throw him off his rhythm. If he tries to truck people we need to take his cap off. Take away Henderson and Royer in the pass game. In pass defense we can match up nicely. We have good CBs Safteys and LBs in pass coverage. I could see Dingles speed being utilized in a game like this. Im very impressed with Dingle. Dingle can match up speed with Kiner and their other fast RBs. Dingle can also SPY Sorsby in case Sorsby thinks he wants to become a truck driver. Jacob Rodriguez can also match up nicely with speed against their RBs and Sorsby. I can see Dingle blitzing to get to Sorsby and being successful. Dingle also plays nice coverage. *Dingle brings a good energy to the team. The Bearcats hang their hat on bend but dont break. They hang their hat on the red zone defense. We have an entire arsenal of red zone weapons. We want to play that game all night. On defense I would take away the pass and force the Bearcats to try and run against our DL and backers. Ill take our backers 1 on 1 vs their RBs. Speed and sure tackling will be key here. We match up well in the run game and pass game. No free easy over the top TDs. Make them work for every yard every drive. *Create havoc for Sorsby. Hold them to FGs. Hold them on 4th down. Force turnovers. Cant wait for kick off 👆👆
Sorsby said in his media time that he’ll have a lot of family there from Texas. And to Chris’ point he liked trucking a dude to get into end zone for a TD vs Houston. So he likes to hit.
Houston is by far the worst team in the big 12. Still impressive that Cincy shut them out but I wouldn’t put too much weight on their performance against a very terrible Houston team
Excited for this matchup, ready for kickoff!
Hope it's a great game, thanks for the comment #GunsUp
Really enjoy your show!
Thanks for watching! #GunsUp

Will be a lot of rushing yards in this one. Kiner for UC and Brooks for TT will both have big games.
Lets see the TT defense continue to improve against the run. Need to get an identity. No reason why TT should lose this game today.

Anyone else think the cincy coach sounds like boomhauer lolol
I watched a little of the CU v Houston game. Cincy's offense looks legit, but I just don't know how bad Houston's D is.
They weren’t very good last year

Cincy is UC. Colorado is CU. FYI
Must shut down the run and make them one dimensional. It's how we beat ASU
