Harrell has had the misfortune of being OC for head coaches on the hot seat. Helton, Brown and Walters all were in trouble and ended up being fired. I wouldn’t hold any of that against him.

To build depth in a Program, you HAVE to get the Newbie some live action on the field. This cost Texas a Natty in 2009....if Garrett Gilbert was ready, it would've been a much better game and possibly a win. If the Freshman, New Guys (portal or just apart of the depth chart), need to actual play to get the experience. Injuries are Never planned, but the preparation of not only your starters, but 2's, 3's, & 4's need to be prepared for anything. Especially, in this era of football

I think Patrick M needs to give Mr. Hudson a call. That being said him leaving could be be a bit more damaging from the optics than the actual talent - don't want your highest ranking recruit ever bolting after only a few times on the field.

Level - thank you for saying what needed to be said re: Micah Hudson. Still love the kid and wish he would remain with the program. But I also love the incoming quartet of WRs and the young ones already on the roster. We will be inde, no matter what happens.

If Hudson is everything people think, he would be too good to keep on the bench. He obviously isn't.

With the money Tech has and a soon-to-be 4th year head coach and a GM savant (so I hear) in Blanchard, how is it they currently have the 9th ranked recruiting class in the Big 12?

Ja'Lynn Polk was an absolute star @ UW. He was UW's #3WR and a big reason why the Huskies went to the National Title game and beat the Longhorns 2 years in a row in bowl games. BTW I'd take Polk over Alabama's Germie Bernard.

I remember being concerned when Polk left, he was the best of the FR lot that year & signaled bad signs for the coaching staff. I'd like Micah Hudson to stay, but bad PR hits are the norm at Tech.
