Big Noon Kickoff coming to the 806 next week

To be honest, I am not surprised. This staff has a habit of preparing players when the fans are upset over poor performances. I half expected a win; however, this makes the TCU loss sting even more because had we not given up a quick 14 4th qtr points to TCU, we'd be in the hunt for the title game.

I think it is fair to criticize the way Kittley calls plays. Did it work out for us this time? Yes. Could he have put us in better situations throughout the game? Yes. He is not above criticism and I think his youth leads him to get stuck in ruts, especially at crucial times. For example, we gave ISU 2 possessions inside of 3:30 left in the first half, knowing full and well that ISU would be receiving the second half kickoff, and we just kept throwing the ball with a lead. Which ended up giving them an opportunity to score twice and they ended up doing so. But a W is a W and I’m extremely happy to have it.

What a great pickup Jacob was. He has been such a solid performer.

The defense held down the fort in this game! Huge props on this side of the ball! Kittley’s play calling is still very questionable!

Great Game!! It does make me wonder if there was anything to the comms consirpiracy. Winning against a "better" team after the turnovers is pretty impressive.

On that 4th and 7, Morton actually got some time! Not a red jersey anywhere near him. What?! Yep, he actually had time to let the play develop and then throw a strike. I bash the O-Line a lot, so here's props to them for that play at least. 👆👆

Sometimes Tech just seems to be at their best when no one expects anything of them and no one gives them any chance of winning.

Nobody follows everything thats going on with these players like a parent of one of these players. We see everything from positive to negative and have to wander how our young adults who are often halfway across the country are dealing with the not always positive attention of thousands of people. you might not be able to even speak to them much because between school, obligations to the team, and them building a life independent of you its not enough time in the day. seeing coach speak after the game, and how much he cares about his player is everything.

If we make a tackle on that last Iowa state touchdown. They may be able to run the clock out and kick the game winning field goal.. That awful tackling gave us 2 minutes to go score & may have been in our favor. Sports man, just never know.

We're so much better when Lux and McCarty are in the secondary. Conyers should be on the field more. Regardless, great win.

Great win Tech! 👆. What a gutsy performance. So happy for the team after the last two weeks. Hard to figure out who this team is. What a roller coaster it is to be a Tech fan. They are "a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma (Winston Churchill)". 🤔

So proud of this team! I definitely feel like Joey is the right guy for the job. His passion and mentality are definitely a fit for Lubbock TX. Guns up! 👆🏽

That game was a masterpiece in ugly football. There are certainly flaws, but all i can think about is conyers picking up that db and carrying him 10 yards into the endzone while Tajh trots in for the win. Also, what happened to Mcguire's ear?

I still stand by my statement that regardless of how poorly ranked our defense is we need to keep Tim. The numbers don't paint the whole picture of what he's doing for our defense

Shout out to Jaylin Conyers who has had two phenomenal blocks on touchdown runs back to back weeks.

Texas Tech is a completely different team when no one can listen in on their conversations.

defense was rolling. very impressed with how they played. offense did what they needed to do when it was time to clutch up. overall not too bad, Morton did miss reads and made some questionable decisions, but it was hard to deny the skill in the last minutes of the game. great win by these guys. need to be even more prepared for a war this next weekend…

They embraced the suck and won... that's all that counts.

We wanted to play meaningful games in November. And here we are. We have a shot to make the big 12 championship if we win out in November.

Damn what a game, and I know the boys played hard all game long....just really hard to believe they drove the field like they did when they really needed it. I didnt have the confidence they could score on the ISU defense there. Morton, Tahj, and the OL (minus the penalties) were clutch that last drive.
