YANMAKTAN USANMAZAM
Yanmaktan usanmazam pervâne miyim bilmem
Hiç sonunu saymazam divâne miyim bilmem
Kalbimde ocağım var sînemde de dağım var
Âteşte durağım var hep yâne miyim bilmem
Dil-hâne harâb oldu yıkıldı türap oldu
Her cânibi bâb oldu vîrâne miyim bilmem
Her şâm u seherde zârım gûş eylemez ol yârim
Bakmaz bana hünkârım bîgâne miyim bilmem
Nûrî dem-i dehşette bahr-i gam-firkatte
Ka’r-ı yem-i hayrette dürdâne miyim bilmem

Adrian Freedman - Shakuhachi
This film was recorded at Karakaya Retreat Centre in the Anatolian mountains.
Özgür Baba and Adrian met for the first time just a few days earlier and found a beautiful synergy in their music. They decided to record some music, and sat down quietly in the deep of the night by the flames of a gentle fire. Özgür sang this beautiful Sufi song, making space for Adrian’s Zen shakuhachi flute to weave its musical magic in the silences between the notes.
Recorded Live at Karakaya, Bodrum, Turkey. April 2022

I used to listen to audiobooks and plays since I was 15 to find some sleep and rest. Now, at 52 i discover, Özgür Baba is way better to get to rest and sleep aside those who mean it. I'm very thankfull I discovert this gem.
Thanks
The song's lyrics are a reflection of the turmoil and confusion that humans can experience in their love lives. It talks about being lost, consumed by fiery passion and never losing the hope to be reunited with the beloved.Written by Abdülahad Nûrî who was a sofi lived in 17th century.
I can't tire of burning, I don't know if I'm a moth
I never count the end, I don't know if I'm insane
There's a hearth in my heart, there's a mountain in my chest
I always stop in the fire, I don't know if I'm wandering
The heart's house is ruined, it's become a ruin
Every passing person became a door, I don't know if I'm deserted
My lover doesn't hear my sighs at any time of the day or night
My beloved doesn't look at me, I don't know if I'm indifferent
In the night of terror, Nuri is in the sea of sorrow and separation
In the confusion of strange events, I don't know if I'm a madman
özlemiştik özgür baba teşekkürler
