Guys, you are amazing, I’ve suffered all year with the same issue. After the video I went to my SkyTrak simulator and started to shot straight lines! My 7 iron went from 150 to 170 and stop hitting the ground!! Thanks a lot!
I feel for Ty! I had this exact same swing issue and ball flight path issue end of last year. Golf coach had me do the same exact positions (grip, swing path). Still struggling with it sometimes but def is what is needed! You guys are amazing!!
Great video. For the last week I have been hitting shanks and could not figure out why. And you guys just made the video I need to see. Can't wait till tomorrow so I can give this a try. Cheers✌️
Good morning both of you, you guys doing fantastic job you guys are my inspiration I am learning from this episodes sir thank you very much sir, I am from fiji if I was around somewhere close to you guys I could have come and learn from you guys any way thank you very much God bless you both and have a blessed day
I've been playing golf for 25 years but more seriously in the past 12. I can count on one hand how many shanks I've hit in the first 23 plus years. In the past year, the shanks have settled in when I'm hitting in the simulator. This started happening in Feb. 2022. When spring came and I took it to the course, the shanks were gone in a session while doing the split hand grip drills with the L to L drills . I played well all summer. I shanked maybe 3 shots (still high for me). Winter is here again and I went to my local simulator. First 3 rounds, no shanks. Then they settled in again and I can't shake it. I'll have an occasional round of being shank free and then I'll have a round where it's just there. I know I can go back to my drills but the weird thing is, I never had to figure this out in the past. I know it's early extension while my downswing is coming from the inside. I do my L to L drills and this seems to work. The thing is, they'll eventually show up again. I blame the simulator and I don't know why. When the shanks do start happening, I feel like it's with a flurry and I need to shut down my swing for the day and come back the next day and start new. The confidence has left the trail side of my body and then it's in my head. I feel like every iron swing will produce a shank no matter what I do. To those of you who are suffering from this curse, I feel your pain. Early extension seems to be the issue for the good player shank. I'm obsessed with fixing this permanently. The only good thing about this is I've had to breakdown all facets of my swing. My swing looks great and when I'm not shanking, I'm crushing the ball.
Im the same. Been golfing for about 15 years but the last 8 years or so has been on and off shanks and honestly dont see how I can fix it at this point. So frustrating because when I do get those shank free rounds I can shoot some reasonable scores. I have diagnosed myself with all manner of faults but I seem to be able to produce a shank from just about any swing thought or technique.
Needed this! Been playing for 20 years and training indoors currently and shanks are coming out of nowhere. Put an object to the right of the ball, worked on keeping the butt of the club inside the target line but might need to adjust grip
If you guys are ever around the Auburn, AL area, let me know. I would love an opportunity to get rated on my swing and improve my consistency. Thanks for the videos. Long time subscriber.
Ty also has some early extension going on. His hips and hands are clearly getting closer to the ball at impact, both before and after, leading to the shanks.
Great work in a short amount of time Am I the only one looking at those irons and thinking they look pretty tiny? Wondering if a little bigger face is in order? If not, good for you!
Please everyone who watches this. Don't do these drills or whatever this is if you have the same problem. This won't work maybe a part from the grip. Go to a coach who has pressure plate and can tell you how you interact with the ground because guy on the video is placing club in the backswing with his arms, no force is transferred into his upper body and arms through his legs. Therefore he has club path issues laid off club in the backswing etc. pick your poison. These issues are very much related to arms-driven swing. I am watching this channel for a while and I haven't seen serious help or good advice from these coaches once. Their teaching methods are very outdated and wrong. Only thing they do is slowly raising their subcount...
Hi Peter. It’s interesting that we got results with Ty. Appreciate your comment though and if you don’t like our coaching that’s fine too. Each to their own. If you don’t enjoy our content or get any value then please feel free to unsubscribe. I’m sure your time will be best spent watching other content that is helpful to you. All the best with your game.👍🏻
@@meandmygolf. You missed my point, but that's ok :) You don't have to respond to my comment. My comment was focused on your followers or people who just started watching your videos. It was recomendation for them to turn to coaches with more modern approach to golf who can actually address the problem, so they don't spend thousand of dollars on lessons/premium practise plans and accomplish nothing in long term
These guys were great. Showed data that backed up the information. We had an hour so we couldn’t address the hundreds of issues in my swing, but they gave me a few things we discussed prior to the lesson I could work on. They obviously are aware of my other issues but we wanted to focus on the ones in the video. Couldn’t speak more highly of these guys.
We got your point thanks Peter. Your opinion is fine too. If you prefer a different approach that’s cool too. All that matters is results. Not how much “technical jargon” we say. Simplicity is key for us to make the golfer better not confuse them. Appreciate you taking the time out though to comment on our page. All the best for your game.👍🏻
I was just I was just working on this today. I’m in the Intown path guy might take away if it’s too flat I actually saw divots pointing way right. Haven’t try the head cover in a while. Great lesson!

Played golf on and off for 30 years. These guys are excellent at addressing the issues and advicing on corrections.
I find these lessons so beneficial. Thank you.

One of the quickest and best online lessons I have ever seen. Thanks very much!
Thanks Bill
Great video guys , this will help me a lot . I always hit my irons out of the heel and slip in the odd shank . Keep up the great videos 👍⛳️🏌️♀️

Ty did great in the lesson. Struggling at the start to hitting it well under pressure too. Hope it was useful to you.
Going back to basics can make a difference for everyone.

Great lesson guys!
Thanks Greg. Hope it helps.
this is AWESOME!
Thanks Jim.👍🏻
Simple solutions - but based on years of experience from you two to help the guy. Well done.
Thanks Ian.👍🏻

Great to see proper tuition! Nice one coach! Not this quick fix stuff.
Thanks Terry. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hello mate I love doing golf with my dad we always go to the range but my dad might need help with his golfing skills
I would love to go there I’m in need of a driver lesson, now that you guys are near by and in the states it would be perfect,
Needed this! Been playing for 20 years and training indoors currently and shanks are coming out of nowhere. Put an object to the right of the ball, worked on keeping the butt of the club inside the target line but might need to adjust grip

So where do you break your wrist in the golf swing?
Andy any tips drills for toe sided iron strikes….?
Check where the weight is in the feet. It’s often too much on toes and maybe standing too far away.
@@meandmygolf. thanks Andy Will give this a try next round… really frustrating especially with the short irons as distance control becomes very varied
Is setting the driver on a more upright plane also recommended?
Do you mean with the arms in the back swing?
@@meandmygolf. Yes

Great spot. All this is caused from the grip and a closed club face. It’s always about finding the root cause first and the changing that.
Great work in a short amount of time
Am I the only one looking at those irons and thinking they look pretty tiny? Wondering if a little bigger face is in order? If not, good for you!
More instructors should build swings from grip and stance first. Tension is a swing killer also.
6:46 That trail elbow needs some work.
