  • In this video we take our 2020 GT500 to the drag strip on the new 1100 HP setup, the car performed very poorly due to belt slip issues & heat soak. We will be making adjustments to the car to combat these issues and return to the drag strip for better results.

    Everybody thinks big dyno numbers make running 8 and 9 second passes easy.

      Yeah bro exactly, these cars aren’t drag cars they’re going to have issues along the way to getting dialed in

    Nice wheels also that last pass would been a high 9sec if it would shift around the 8000rpm like before.

    You should try a different tuner. Lund is definitely not the way to go after switching tuners results where a 2 car difference when I switched to PBD.

    • @AutomotivePerformance
      @AutomotivePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      My respect goes out to other tuners but hell no I wouldn’t ever switch to anybody other than Lund... You’ll see why soon stay tuned

    The dual clutch trans won't let you put that much torque on it so the computer limits

    Man that’s so frustrating when you add 300hp and run the same exact time ? Basic bolt on Shelby’s run 10.2 have you thought about running it on your own foot brake ? Instead of launch control

  • @dwarnke72

    Easy 9s if you could get the RPMs up. Sucks that Ford limits that

    You can't get great 1/4 mile time and you're mct temps thats high you need to cool it down a pit and add intercooler with bigger cooler tank

    • @AutomotivePerformance
      @AutomotivePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Car needs an ice tank, I let the car cool down 1 hour in between passes, mct and iat were way to high

  • @ElijahWash
    @ElijahWash 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    if its bogging you raise the RPM not lower it.

    • @AutomotivePerformance
      @AutomotivePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      RPM maxes out at 3,200 which is what I had it at the car doesn’t let you go any higher so I had no choice but to try and lower it... But yes you increase your rpm if it’s bogging

    • @Twobarpsi
      @Twobarpsi 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AutomotivePerformance ahhh...that explains it. I was going to ask the same question.

    • @CarbonYote
      @CarbonYote 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no way to turn up the 2-step past 3200 rpm even the tuners cannot yet figure it out. The only transmission tuning available for this car is the slippage of the clutches. You can’t even tune it to shift at higher than 7500 rpm. You must use the paddle shifters and it can be really difficult to shift at say 8300rpm when the digital gauges stop at 8000rpm.

    Dead slow for the claimed horsepower .An 1100 h.p Gt 500 should be running 9.5 at 147 all day long .The 60 foot is terrible as well.
