Just subscribed. Great video, especially the way you articulate your thoughts. Your editing is top tier as well. I thought you'd have one million subs because of how clean your video's look. 😂 The algorithm brought me here, hopefully more will follow after me. Keep up the good work! You've got a new fan.
I think the fundamental flaw is the shoehorning in the boss fight at the same time as Aeriths death happens and that boss fight is so long and so full of changes: Jumping from tag teaming Sephiroth with Zack, to solo both as Cloud and Zack, jumping between the teams etc etc etc. And not to mention how they end the game on like a hopeful not for Zack, his last words to Cloud is "save her", when he's already failed and she's dead... And then he sits in the church with like a hopeful smile that he'll meet Cloud and her again.... The final boss fight should have happend earlier in the game, at the temple of the ancients or just after it, which should have led to Aeriths "realisation" of how to stop Sephiroth and then her leaving to go to the Cetra city and the gang going after her.... And then we still could have gotten Clouds fractured mind jump between what is either realities or just his own brain trying to cope and deny the truth. I honestly think that would have solved alot of the issues with it. Remake had the same problem: Shoehorning in a Sephiroth boss battle at the end of the highway. I get that having Rufus and the highway chase as the last boss battle isn't particularly good from a gaming standpoint..... So why not make it a Jenova fight _only_ and have the Sephiroth boss fight as Unwinable to showcase his power? Because by the time the third game comes, we've now beaten him twice, with him fleeing both times. That didn't happen in the OG, you only fight Jenova, not Sephiroth until the end. I love the games though, 90-95% of both games are awesome and amazing and i loved getting more time with the gang, FFVII was never popular because of it's story, it was popular because of it's amazing characters and the trillogy so far gives us more time with them.
Well to be fair, the boss fight after her death is keeping in line with the OG. I too wish we could find some other final boss besides Sephiroth, but at the same time, his name holds so much weight now that it's almost like, what else can you do? He kind of has to be there at this point lol. And those of us that have played FF7 KNOW that we fight Jenova in these instances, so what's something we don't expect. So far that answer has been Sephiroth lol. If there's a reason given as to why we've fought him a number of times, then I can easily let it let it slide. I can get behind him having a plan or something that involves him messing with us at the end every time.
Gosh I'm late youtubes notifications system is broken anyways I can't say anything about the video yet because I haven't played it yet and even though it seems very frustrating it looks very fun and I'll consider playing it
@@jus_russ I still have yet to defeat him, I beat the story and everything, it'd just be for trophy-hunting. I'll get to it eventually though, I don't want to have done almost all the World Intel for nothing
I think Clouds dying. I think everyone is rushing to the multiverse thing because its the big craze so to speak. However i think its Cloud is returning to the lifestream. Aerith said something that strikes me as odd "Its about saving you, and the world." Cloud is fighting off the Jenova Cells as he was thr last bastion of Jenova Cells after Dirge of Cerberus, Jenova is trying to wear Clouds spirit into the lifestream. Doing what Jenova does, taking the form of loved ones. But Sephiroth said it to Aerith who sent help to Cloud in the form of old friends like Zack. Stay with me ill explain. The remake ends with the battle at the edge of creation, what is this creation? Its the final resting point, the lifestream, or the promised land... Each time Jenova/Sephiroth has tried to use maniputed memories to break him down, if he believes there is no getting to see Aerith again, Cloud will break down and Jenova will win. I think the Hero Sephiroth (the one youve fought in remake) was asking for Cloud to help him to finally destroy Jenova and defy deatiny together. Thats how he knew all of Clouds moves, because hes the imprint of Sephiroth cloud idolized as a hero. Just like Zack, Cloud imitates Sephiroth a lot in the games. Anyways The first ending ended with round one of Jenovas attack on Clouds Spirit. Remake ends with edge of creation and Aeris (original game who died) helps fight the Jenova Cells but they have chosen to retreat. Sephiroth/Jenova was unsuccessful in breaking Cloud down and thus they retreat to try to in oart three break cloud down. When he realizes Aerith died with Tifa helping him in the lifestream, I am betting this is the tipping point when the worlds begin to die... But Tifa gives him hope that they can meet her there in the promised land. So Cloud has always been fighting to make it to the pronised land, and the edge of creation is the gate before the promised land as the lifestream is keeping Cloud out long enough to give Aerith time to help Cloud remove the Jenova Cells and when he finally wins he will get his Reuinion as it would be ironic Cloud being the last one to die, with the exception of Marleen of course. Which leads me to the thing no ine speeks about... How is it Marleen always knows more than she should and she seems to have Cetra like abilities.... Just me?
So I’ve definitely heard parts of this and it’s an interesting take! And yeah the Marlene is a question that’s unanswered. If Marlene touched Aerith on the bed, maybe that’s a clue. In remake she changed after having contact with Aerith. Maybe that’s Aerith (Aeris) feeding her visions or info through other Aeriths lol.

I feel that. Good luck to you!🫡 Hopefully you’re better at the game than me lol

I deserve reparations XD Great video man
I DO!!! lol thanks 😂
Gotta say, you invested a lot into the setup and to put out these vids. Hate the TH-cam algo in not promoting startups. Tiktok much better
I do post there, but I think I just personally enjoy making TH-cam videos more
