Being an hkust student. Its definitely stressful, especially if you're like me and have bad study habits and arent good with memorization. My last semester I got a C with an 88% score...

yeah it seems like a lot of time is spent with friends and eating. With a 9 to 5.30 job I'm up at 7 to get ready to commute. Get home at 7 pm to then eat and sleep. No time to find friends and chill like that!

As a local hong kong secondary school student this was an interesting perspective. Also I miss going out and taking the MTR.

I’m a Hong Kong student, honestly I stressed out about my academic results almost everyday since I have test almost every single day, lots of homework and projects which results I got depression.
you are being trained and pushed so that you can be the best version of yourself. there are myriads of children that can't even go to school all over the world.
there must be a bright sight in life. good luck for your future endeavours and don't forget to be happy :)

It depends on your own skills and abilities whether it is easy or not to get part-time jobs. If you are good enough, it will be pretty easy for you to get one.
Regarding the rent, it truly depends on the location.
do you regret going to HK instead of somewhere else?
No regret at all! Hong Kong is really good if you want to study and learn lots of skills which will definitely be useful for your future careers!
