Hey cool video! I have questions about accommodation as I’m studying at HKU Shun Hing, Lap Chee or Chi Son for a 24 year old international student from UK, which hall should I choose and I like socialable easy going person and don’t mind sharing room but hope it’s someone similar age… but any tips or ideas or suggestions what is best in your opinion 🙏 🙂
Hi, they are all residential colleges of Village III, which is the most international village of HKU. Postgrads and undergrads would live together, there are also double rooms and single rooms up to your preference. It really depends on your interests, Lap-Chee is strong for music society, Shun Hing is for sports, New College is about farming (gardening), and Chi Sun is more fond of arts, books, poetic activities. All these colleges are very nice for international students, contribution is necessary for readmission but you have a lot of freedom and personal space. Hope this helps.
@@iadoreyou9356 I think I will choose Lap-Chee or Shun Hing, do you think its better to have a twin room or a single room? I'm curious about the twin room experience but then again afraid of who I will be put with as I am 24 years old from the UK :( I want a social fun place and do you think Lap-chee or Shun Hing in your opinion what would you choose? Thank you for replying ! :)
@@iadoreyou9356 Thank you for the reply! :) lastly, should I pick Single or Twin room? What are your feelings and in your opinion would you enjoy Shun Hing or Lap-Chee more? 🙏
@@Wunderkinddd My only hall up to now is Lap-Chee College, so I can't say much about Shun Hing and have the utmost bias for Lap-Chee. Single and double rooms are very up to your characteristics and preference. Don't worry about age, cuz it's a mix among postgrads and undergrads so there are many ppl in your age here. But I believe everyone here is super nice and special. One notice is that the price would be different for single/double.
@@iadoreyou9356 I have one last question. Are the views nicer from Shun Hing or Lap Chee, I want to see the city and tall buildings when I look out the window, Which one am I mostly likely to get a good view? Why did you choose Lap-Chee over Shun Hing? Thank you so much, you help me decide a lot! :D
Hiii! Loved your videos! I heard that HKU has cancelled Entrance Scholarships for Prospective students. Is that really true? I'll be applying for Fall'22. Will it apply on me too? Anticipating a Positive Response!
Hi, I'm not sure about this but from what I know, there are still many students received scholarship for Fall'21. Just keep a close eye on the school's website I guess.
