Want Fries With That McFreezer Controller?

- This Master-Bilt electronic controller only had two buttons to program it and check the operation. Leave it to MasterBuilt to skip out and NOT provide a sticker that tells you what the abbreviations stand for or how to control it. I'll take a Heat Craft unit any day. Make sure you have the control manual before attempting repairs. This particular freezer used hot gas to defrost the evaporator....When that doesn't work, You can only guess what's gonna happen.

Master-Bilt ,as a retired Wholesale sales/designer your videos are great. These videos would have been tremendously useful when I was a guest refrigeration instructor at the local union hall
That’s very nice of you to say. Thank you!
Masterbuilt that fan sounded like my knees
Masterbuild!
Now we need to see you getting the ice cream machines back up running. 😂🤣😂🤣
They haven't asked us to do any ice cream work. They probably like to make sure it's always broke 😂🤣
Masterbuild
Looks like the McFreezer gave you a McTraining lesson on MasterBuilt.
Always watch to the end. Well usually lol Actually I find the videos very instructive. It was always a mystery what you guys were doing on the roof in those industrial units. A lot more complicated than the home units on the patio. Those things really take a beating being in the weather all the time. Especially the package units.
Awesome! Thank you!
MasterBuilt
Have never worked on these before. I do mostly chillers and some RTU's.
I have not worked with their digital controller before, like I said without that book I had nowhere to go with just two buttons. When I started holding buttons I knew things were going to get screwed up and if you don't know what the abbreviations are... holy cow you're screwed. I'm getting into chillers more and more I'm already doing grocery store racks. It's been very slow getting where I want to get to at my company because there's so many ahead of me.
Master-Bilt, brother! Nice video and thank you for what you do!
@@peterman8058 thanks Peter!
MasterBuilt!

Thnx budd from Montréal
Masterbuilt
Pretty crazy I’ve never had to work on hot gas defrost. Looked about as fun as trying to find information on knock off mini splits.
It was up there with sticking a fork in your eye 🤣🤣
@HVACRSurvival what If we kept it simple. Tstat n defrost clock n Preventive maintenance
Masterbuilt. Great video, man.
Thanks so much @lanPalmer1482 🙏👍👍
That is a masterbuild walk in. Been here since the early days.
Masterbuild. Love your diagnostic approach, I try to guess your next move.
That's cool👍👍 thanks for watching!
Hay brother Rick, I don’t see this type of MASTER BUILT , another info filled video
Thanks doug, I figured somebody might get stuck on one of these and be able to get the information from the video. I need to put a link to their manuals.
Master built, I have a lot to learn. Great video!
Thanks for watching!
master-bilt....good job as usual!
Thank you!
Masterbuild! Keep them coming dude!!! Used to do HVAC engineering many years ago and I enjoy these videos.....
Awesome ! Did you do engineering for one of the big companies that builds the equipment? If so which one?
@@HVACRSurvival Carrier when it was in Chicago(LONG time ago - 30 yrs plus).....Changed careers when an opportunity dropped into my lap and never looked back....(law stuff - ya believe that??)...from "techy" to law/office stuff....weird....always thought I would be doing it forever since I loved it so much....
@lqueryvg666 wow that's pretty cool hvac to law.
masterbuilt! i don't work in HVAC but i work with pneumatic systems and industrial automation stuff; it's cool how many similarities there are between the two fields
I think once you get the common understanding of how mechanics work you can figure out about anything. We're the real doctors of the mechanical world
Never thought I'd find HVAC TH-cam so interesting 😅 but here I am
It’s the most diversified fields to be in, it covers most of the other branches. Electric, plumbing, controls.
@@HVACRSurvival for sure, I'm definitely enjoying the content and learning a lot!
Awesome. Thanks for the support!
Yup you sound like me a few weeks back, found a faulty transformer that fed the board in a freezer. Come to find out the relay on it for the fans also gave out among a few other things. Gotta love all the technology they cram in em 👍🏽😅
I know it was taking forever to get it all figured out. Thanks for checking out Adrian!!
#masterbuilt to the end..
You work at interestingly varying things.
Software QA is so underrated thing .. that includes end-user documentation.
Master turd. Lol. Enjoy your videos. You and Chris have taught me so much over the years.
Thanks Jeremy! I really appreciate your support and comment. 🤜🤛👍👍
Masterbuilt,..., you should wear the thin rubber gloves not only to protect your skin but when working live they can give you a thin layer of protection ... i started wearing them just on dishwashers and glasswashers due to them being nasty, and having serious detergents, but during rona i wore them all the time and it helped my hands considerably and now i always put em on every job...
Masterbuilt! I am retired and enjoy your troubleshooting. Makes me feel like I am working right along with you. THANKS
Yeah... I'm sure I'll be in the same boat probably in about 15 years. It's one of the few things I do decent at, I always sucked at sports 🤣🤣
Master built. Some othrr techs would have just said replace the unit. You took your time and research and found the problem.
Masterbuild! No, No. . . . Thank you! Just like Mr. Pettinato your teaching is Invaluable!
He was a big help to me when I started refrigeration, his videos were a little slow getting to the high lights which is why I cut mine up so much but otherwise the information was very valuable.
Made by a self proclaimed master, every year cheaper and faster. It will leak in a year but we feel no guilt, thank you for buying masterbuilt.
👍👍🤣🤣🤣
Great as always! Masterbuilt
Masterbuilt. And you're welcome 😂
I don’t miss commercial refrigeration at all lol 😂.
😁✌️👍👍
Masterbuild! :)
Thanks for the videos Masterbuilt Rick!
Thanks Nate!
masterbuilt. great video!
Excellent work 👍 master built
Nice work Rick. Masterbuilt.
I'm loving it😁🙏👍👍
Transformers and circuit boards in -10 degrees. Brilliant!!!!!
Yeah who would have thought 🤣🤣. It's right up there with smashing your thumb in a car door
Great job. Masterbuilt at very end.
Thanks man!
whiirrrrrrrrrrrr, I thought someone was running milkshake, smoothie or ice cream blender at first. then I seen you was inside a box. 🤣
Master-built.
You’re the master build woot woot.I’ve been watching your videos for a couple years now. Some days when it’s an L type of day I’ll come home and watch your videos to cheat me up and to look forward to new jobs and new equipment thank you
Thanks Harrison! That's so awesome to hear!
Master-built!
Masterbuild! I think I started watching you with servicing generators and just kind of stuck with it. Every video I've seen from you has been incredibly informative and engaging. Thank you so much!
Awesome, thank you! I love hearing things like that 🤜🤛👍👍
Master Bilt ❤ Love your videos, I'm an IT guy by day... lazy nerd by night! :)
Thank you! Tech minded is tech minded. 🤜🤛👍👍

Master-bilt! We deal with a lot of hot gas defrost ice cream cabinets over here in NI, always a pain, if they have a receiver I was always told to gas to the sight glass whilst it’s in a defrost. Not sure if that would be 100% though😂
Masterbuilt indeed. I enjoy you going through the thinking process to diagnose these units. Though I don't video myself, I talk to myself as I go through schematics and processes to get those units back in working order. Thanks for sharing!
I have been known to talk out loud and argue the paints😁
Master Bilt
Worked on a few myself at McDs
Thanks for the tips professor
Greta video mr Rick. first time I worked on one of those got an asskicking masterbuilt
I did too😁

Another awesome video
MasterBuilt Happy Labor Day!
Same to you! Thanks man!

Masterbuild! I am a retired HVAC engineer in the UK. Always enjoy your vids and the way you present them!
That's pretty cool to hear, especially if you were engineer and from a different country. Most people can't even handle the way I talk let alone the way I present it 😁. Thank you!
MasterBuilt. As always, thanks for posting.
🤜🤛🙏👍👍
Masterbuilt. Great video.
Thanks brother!
Masterbuild!
Master-Built. Another good video!
Much appreciated 👍👍
Master-bilt 13:33 just to let you know those ecm motors come as one part. Someone retrofitted those two on the left evap fans on the left. Likely faulty pressure transducer or temperature sensor, they will do dumb things with a faulty sensor. I’ve only worked on the models with a receiver and birder compressors. Looks like you figured out the sequence of operation fairly well.
Thanks Matt! It took a while but I eventually got it.
Great video Masterbuilt
Thank you kindly
Master build!!
Masterbuilt love your videos 😀
Thanks so much!
Masterbuilt. Keep up the good work. Always enjoy these videos.
Thanks, will do!
MasterBuilt, Good job!

A late happy Masterbuilt to you!
Thank you sir
been a subscriber for a couple months now, took me a month to catch up watching every one of your videos, keep up the great work dude. "Masterbuilt"
You watched all of them? It says I have like 400+, I know a few of them are probably live streams but that's a lot. Thank you!!!
@@HVACRSurvival yup all of them lol, i'm a night owl, kept watching till the crack of dawn lol

MASTER BUILT I really like the videos. Thanks for all of your hard work.
Thanks for watching!
I got to say I love your thought process your work ethics and your videos Good job.
Thanks for your kind words sir! They are much appreciated!
I would also check to see if the seals on the door are any good. That could be key causing this problem all the time.
Master build your videos on walk ins are really helpful thank you
Awesome thank you, check out my other videos I've got them in categories of just refrigeration, Air conditioning, heating, etc etc
Masterbilt Thanks for your channel . Have a great 3 day wknd!
Thank you so far so good. I appreciate that and you too!
Master-built. Yes watched to end, but on Apple TV and can’t enter comments easily. Enjoy them here in Australia
I'm always amazed when I hear of people in other countries watching my stuff. It's crazy to think "I'll probably never get to go to those places" but my actions on video did. It's really mind boggling if you think about it. Thank you for the support and for leaving a comment letting me know!
Masterbuilt. You always seem to get the oddest stuff to work on. A supermarket and then this over engineered system? But somehow you always fix them. Great job.
Pretty much! Thanks for noticing🤜🤛👍👍
@@HVACRSurvival u r MacGyver
Great video Rick! Never have had a chance to deal with hot gas defrost yet.
It's coming🤣👍👍
Master built - thanks, you're appreciated.
🙏🤜🤛👍👍🍺🍺
Masterbuild :) Great video, would love if you could go into the wiring in more detail whenever you have time with refrigeration systems, appreciate the videos!
Thanks for the idea!
Master built! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I'm trying to make a difference! Thanks for your support!
Masterbuild - been watching you videos for quite some time (even before you had to stop for a bit) I really appreciate the time and knowledge you drop
Wow thanks Nick! It really means a lot you have been here that long!!! And that all these people are responding to the end tag😱. I might start doing this at the end of every video come up with some sort of word and make a game out of it 🤫😁😁
Master built.
Masterbuilt. Thanks for the Vids
😊👍👍🙏🤜🤛
Masterbuild. Thanks
Masterbuilt good vid, keep it up.
I'm trying 😊👍👍
Masterbuilt. Thanks for making these videos. I know they take time and I appreciate you doing this so I can learn what is not an easy trade, refrigeration.
