@@ENFPianist It's on the way. I shall be watching more of your videos and seeking out just how to get started. Maybe some day I can play like Oscar Peterson. Hahaha. Dreams.
@@sirsoulbrother this is music to my ears! Dream big! I hope to one day be able to play like Hiromi Uehara...dreams...🤣 There are so many great resources online to teach yourself piano! You can do it!!!
make sure to get a foot pedal for it too! this song uses sustained notes, so holding down the pedal can help you tie the chords together rather than sounding all choppy and seperated.
I know this was 2 years ago, and I’m not sure if you still look at comments, but I just recently found this song and immediately knew I wanted to learn it, it’s such an amazing song, and your tutorial really helped me. Thank you
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and let me know that this tutorial helped I've been meaning to do a lot more tutorials. I am a self-taught pianist and I've never had a single piano lesson. It means the world to me that my weird way of understanding music is actually a help to people Don't let anybody tell you that you can't do what you want to do You can play piano in your way and you're going to have a lot of trolls come your way and criticize the way that you play ignore them You have a natural gift and you are working on it on your own volition and that makes me so happy I am so proud of you for this hitting the TH-cams and finding out how to play a song that you like Will would and the tapeworms are freaking amazing and the song self is incredible It brought so much joy to my day to hear you say that you learn this song if you could do me a favor when you finally are ready to record and post it out there comment on this video with a link to your video because I want to hear your way of playing it cuz everybody bring something new to the table
@@raptor_bacon3278 I look forward to it! Music is great medicine and this song is a great mantra and healing medicine. Spread the love and perform it often whenever you can. The world needs good vibes
Thank you for the feedback! This is my first time trying to explain my process and how to play songs - I am not classically trained, but I try my best. I will work on some more tutorials on how to play some of the songs I cover...like Mr. Blue Sky. I am glad this tutorial is helping!
Yay! You can do it! Just have fun experimenting with your own style in presenting the chords. It really is a great song for practicing chord inversions!
That's a good way too. It's all subjective when it comes to chord fluff transitions. If you like that, then do that. This is just a guide of the bare bones idea for others to utilize and learn to just do what they want their way. I am self taught and that is how I roll. Just play the way you feel and as long as your feeling is in it, it will sound good. So far, my cover has received well whenever I play it for audiences, so I am fine with my incorrect way if playing because I am an incorrect and improper human that just wants to make pretty noise. Isn't that what music is all about? Bearing your soul in pure vibration to make others feel something is the essence of music.

Never heard this song and now I want to buy a keyboard to learn how to play it.
You should get a keyboard and learn how to play! It's never too late to start learning! 😁

I think that one where you jump across the triads to Am should just be a 1 3 minor 6 so C E Am
