How long are these distances? I can run 10km in 35minutes, 38min on semi-technical and flat trails. Can any decent dog keep up with me? I was thinking about finnish lapphund.
Almost every dog can keep up with you. If you're not running straight through several days, it's impossible to outrun a dog. I'm talking about medium sized dog breeds with regular health condition.

Having a dog pull you while you run seems like the worst thing you could do to your knees, especially in combination with a downhill direction.
animalobsessed1 It can be pretty unbelievable on your knees, I find running in zero drop shoes with a forefoot strike really helps me.
You can command your dog to slow down downhill
