If you are referring to the one that looks like a larger Baryonyx with a sail, then yes that would be fairly ironic. It is honestly not out of the realm of possibility, the one which basically looks like an Allosaurus with a sail is definitely not correct.

The most recent spinosaurus findings state that it's froglike fingers actually extend outward much like a pteranadon, so it would actually fly around rivers hunting for fish. honestly... i like rodrigo vega's concept designs. although very absured and unusual, it is the bold take to make such an intriguing and controversial design that i admire. it is also one that i feel gives the piece much charm. for as always, as much as we like to think we know what we are talking about when it comes to reconstructing dead fauna, animals often look increadibly different than what their bone would tell us and what they really looked like might never truly be visualized.
I love spinosaurus! It’s a personal favourite and I hope to study it one day! And hopefully help prove that spinosaurus is actually a giant manatee and it’s spines we’re actually flippers it used to fly in space!

No joke, I went looking for dinosaur gifts for my family, often times detailed Schleich figures. Imagine my horror and confusion when a Schleich suggestion popped up featuring the papo rex for some ungodly reason.
Fun fact, Spinosaurus had a built-in anti-air missile defensive system but it was pretty useless back then since no animals used guided missiles to kill their prey neither contest territory.
I saw JP3 in theaters, it was a belated 7th birthday gift, and I was never upset that the Spino beat the T-Rex, I actually thought it was cool, because I thought "Whoa, a creature bigger and stronger than the T-rex!?" Even to this day im not upset at all about it
