Love it. No matter how many I make them I enjoy watching other people making theirs
only thing i would have done differently is use green locktite 620 on the barrel extension to bed into the receiver. much easier than lapping and such
Great tip! I hadn't heard of that
@@regulardudegungearreviewsh3132 I learned it from Dave Wilson from D.Wilson Mfg. Gree locktite will harden and fill in the imperfections between the receiver and th barrel extension, sort of how gunsmiths may use fiberglass or epoxy to do the same between the receiver and stock on a bolt action rifle. Any time I get a non thermal fit, that's what i do.
I just ordered a BCM lower. I'm trying to figure out if I should just buy a complete BCM upper or build one. BCM has blem upper receivers for 50. I've never owned an AR, but if I decide to build one, this video will help!
My advice is to buy one first. Get real familiar with them, research and learn about them. Start picking up the tools and knowledge you need and then build one. BUT if you decide to go the other route, I'm glad the video may help!
Bcm blem is a good upper to start building with.
I've used several bcm blems with faxon match barrels that shoot lights out.....
My only advice for the bcm is torch the threads for tens seconds and slam that barrel home quick as you can hahaha if not you have to heat it up and tap it out or home
@@regulardudegungearreviewsh3132 BCM has blem complete uppers too. The only one in stock has a government profile barrel. Everyone on the forums says to get the ELW barrel. I'd really like to save money with the blem. I get myself in these hard to choose decisions. It took me weeks to decide between an Aero or BCM lower. I ended up finding a BCM complete lower for about the same price as a complete Aero. I just ordered it this morning. I'm pretty excited!
@@prone_wolf8871 that's good to know. I think I'll buy a complete upper since this is my first AR, and build my next one piece by piece.
@@cincinnatiking8008 you definitely can't go wrong with BCM. Govt profile isn't bad, per se, it's just a dated in terms of there being better/improved options out there now. But, again, not a bad option at all
Where did you score your cm4 with the alignment slot?
