Your real best friend...
-The Alien Beard
This video has just convinced me to get an 883.... thanks now I will subscribe
Don't waste your money
I don't know what it is, but I can just waste so much time at work watching you ride. Good vids.
This is kind of video helps me make my decision, to go with an 883.
Richard Anderson nice man, good choice:D
Dont go 1200
Dude 1200 all the way
Eh. 114 or bust.
Ignore them. Get an Iron 883. You could always do a 1250 kit later on or trade up for a softail.
“Where am I going?” Freedom!!!
Yo TheAlienBeard I think that vlog a week just talking about your personal life would be pretty cool. Love watching your videos can't wait for more!
Andy_1104 _ thanks man I might just do that! we will have to wait and see.
At first my friends kinda shrugged at my 883, but after I installed this *CORRECTLY* it's the favorite. Now I can name my 'Cycle Hellbound and not look like im exaggerating.
I did the same thing and felt the same way. So much more power. I highly recommend it.
Just got my harley 883 a week ago. I LOVE IT!!!! THANKS BROTHA for info.
Congrats I got one last summer this year still loving it and got my fp3 on the way
Holy rusted metal batman! Huge difference in sound with the mods! Coming from someone who has ridden your bike I can tell the difference. To be sure I would have to ride it again. Camera view is fine. As for the outro bro do your thing just don't make us cry! 😂Great video! Keep them coming!🤘👏✌
Dennistheminnis okay I thought it sounded differently I just wanted to make sure! thanks for that man:) can't wait to do the challenge Vids with yeah!
Well, you ened my questioning if I should get the fuel pack. Thanks
I just bought my first bike, an 883 that was converted to a 1250. It has the Fuelpak installed and was super worried because my startup was hesitant like yours was. I’m relieved to see that’s normal, I almost took it out.
Bike is awesome and so are your videos! Me and my daughter watch all of them...several times Lol. Camera view is fine. As far as outros and content....it's your motovlog...do what you love brother....keep up the great work! What's the intro song?...My youngest daughter loves it! Be safe!
Disturbed Misfit haha that comment made my day man:D I'm glad you guys enjoyed this adequate content! I have no idea what that song is because I got it from an intro maker! sorry:/ thanks for watching and have a great day!
I wonder how a fuelpak tune with air filter and exhaust would be on a 1200
I follow Blickhead also. I have about a dozen other motovloggers install the fp3 on their Iron and Blickhead is the only one, that I've seen have any kund of trouble with it. I think he had an air cleaner that is no longer in productiin any more ( I wanted one) and I think he said it was nit in the mod list in the fp3 software. Luke you, I think he didn't have the best mao for his setup. But tech support helped him out, which says a lot about V&H company. I am so glad you got it right the furst time and are happy with the results great bike. I am partial to the Irons myself. Ride safe and enjoy!
I just got an 07 sporty xl883l last week and already loving it. Has a set of slip ons and sounds great. Plan for an intake and v&h fp3 as well.
How did it goo doing same for my 09
I'm buying one for sure.
Nice!!! Hey is it safe to ride with out the tune? I have high flow intake v hines an exhaust, just waiting for the fp3. Will any damage be done if i ride it while waiting for the fuel pack?
I put V&H Short Shots and a high flow air filter on, programmed the appropriate map, and had a lot of misfires. It was pretty frustrating. I ended up having to run it in autotune mode 2-3 times, updating the programming each time. After the 3rd time, it finally ran great. I don't notice a lot of performance differences though, gas mileage is about the same.
Do you think the iron 883 is a good starter bike?
I got one last year and it’s a great first bike for me I’m 5’9 175 it’s perfect still loving it
I just put the fuel pack on mine , what else did you adjust other than setting the pipes and intake in the map set up?
Nice review and I am glad it is working out for you. Blockhead videos are also rewarding hs does a lot of mods to his bike. Ride Safe
I changed the air cleaner on my 883, but I didn't do it myself, I took my bike to the local official dealer. they also did the remapping, but they didn't install anything like this FP3.
what's the difference?
If the dealer did a dyno on the bike after the air filter install, that is generally the better version of tuning compared to a plug in tuner like the FP3. some of the benefits of a FP3 include being able to read live data from the bike yourself and also if you change any parts in the future you can re flash the ECU again to match the installed parts instead of paying a dealer to do another tune.
@@eveythingthatsadam Not true, all dealer certified tuning is still lean. they have to tune for emmsions. this tunes for performance. If harley did the map its not as good as what you can get out an fp3
Did you leave your FP3 Attached in your bike? If yes where did you mount it?I'm having trouble where i'd put it.
I'm new to Harleys. I got the the 2016 48 with 4,500 miles on it. It has the Vance and Hines exhaust and a different air filter. When I'm riding slow I feel like my bike hesitates when I'm going slow and it also backfires a lot when I go fast and let the throttle go. I've seen a lot of videos of people installing the fuel pack. Does that fix my problem? Help me out please and thank you!
What's your redline before and after; at 70 what's your rpms looking like
I can see how you plug in the FP3 but then where did you put the FP3 and get the cover back on? On my Sportster it feels like the FP3 is stopping me from getting the cover back on. Great video, cheers.
AndyfromSandy dandanthefireman said you can simply unplug it after you’re mapped
Oh yeah. First start after FP3 install is wonky, because of the new map you dropped in. ECU learns, and adjusts quickly.
After I installed mine, I found I could do a rolling burnout, which it never did before, off a stop sign, just riding like before, and scared the shit outta me!
Be happy with the new initial performance, but now you can play with better mileage...or not...backfire levels, torque levels, advancing and retarding spark etc. The best thing, is running the "View Sensor Data" mode with the phone in the RAM mount. I show mileage, "eco", gear, and engine temp in the 4 corners, with the center running the RPM's. Now I can watch what the bike does at all times, anywhere.
Like I said in the other post, to reset the MAP, you put it in autotune, ride for about 30 miles/minutes, and dump that new info into the MAP and ECU. If you ride hard, it will make the bike run rich for throttle response. If you ride really easy on the power band (like rolling a highway without passing or goosing the gas), and it will lean it out for great mileage. BUT, if you do run it lean, the FP3 will revert instantly to power mode, and advance fuel and spark for heavy performance when you twist the grip....then drop right back to "economy" mode to continue cruising along.
Do not run autotune full time. All that does is send conflicting signals to the ECU.
Hmm.. I had no idea about all of that. Thank you for the help! Ill double check what I am running. Also, how did you keep your fp3 plugged in? I cant seem to find any spot for it to go..
Plugged it in, and It tucked right into the electrical box with no problem.
Hmmm.. weird how mine isnt letting me...
Sirs, I'm considering this for my 15 street bob. If I were to put this in a racing tune, and apply half throttle from a stop the back end would get squirrely? Would the bike get from 0-60 a full second faster or not? I am REALLLLLLY considering this. Any info would be appreciated.
When you say not to run autotune full time, what do you switch it to ?
Hey man I got big radious and fuel pak 3 on mine as well and it runs perfect. My next mod is the seat. I'm digging the stock 48 seat like @blockhead has! we've been talking on insta, i told you i was goona start a channel. Well I did! Keep the videos coming! Also, I like the old camera angle better, just my opinion!
SportsterDawg awesome man! good for you! yeah I have heard about people putting the 48 seat on the 883. thanks for the comment man and ride safely!!
SportsterDawg you like the seat on 48? u will like mine check out my Bike & mods mate youll like it trust me
Bike sounds good . I will let you surprise me on the outro
Sounds good:D
Great video! What seat is this?
bike sounds a lot beefier now. also to your question about the camera angles, it seemed a little low. couldn't see much of the road ahead like normal. great video as always.
you're right, I'll keep the old camera angle because everyone seems to like it alot better. Thank you for the comment!
What mount do you use to attach the camera to your helmet ?
I bought a 2016 883 sportster off some dude.... he has a vance and hines tuner on it, i downloaded the app too but i cant replicate the sound and performance that he had.... what am i doing wrong
I have a 2007 softail Deuce, it has a fuel pack on it, I got an improvement of 18 to 20 horse power and 22 to 26 ft pounds of torque...
BTW if you really want to spice things up, get a Hammer 1250 kit installed with some hotter cams.
It’s a game changer. Installed it should cost 3500$
Truly crazy mod: there is a company that makes Hemi heads for Harley-Davidson, they produce insane power... but they are pricey... 3300$
So if you have 7000$ laying around imagine a Sportster with 100 hp.
What kind of gloves are those? I've been following almost since the beginning, I love your videos!! Looking to get an iron this year
I wish I could find out the name of them! They were on closeout awhile ago but now I dont see them. Ill let you know if I do! Thank you for sticking around man! Also good choice on bike;)
Are you gonna put SE valve springs, SE rockers, and SE racing clutch kit on it?
Adrian Rubi no idea, how much power can I expect from those?
TheAlienBeard....still the same power but more durability for higher rpms if you squeeze the hell out of it constantly.
Nice hog man!
I just did the stage 1 on my hog as well it's a 16. I have same intake as you and tuner but different exhaust and man I love it!
svt95 yeah man I love my beastly hog:D it really did make a difference didn't it?
TheAlienBeard oh heck yeah it did, you can tell right away. Sounds way meaner and pulls hard! Really smooth as well. I could tell right away since mine is my daily rain or shine and plus I run it hard.
Keep up the good work!
svt95 awesome man! ride safely!
I have a 2018 Sportster 48 and want to put Vance & Hines slip-ons. Are the slip-ons compatible with a Screaming Eagle tuner? Any recommendations on tuners for the slip-ons? I was told V&H FP3 would void the warranty, got my 48 last December.
Do u know if it would work with stock air filter, I have slip ons but wana remove baffles would these fuel pack work?
Chi-CitySoul you’re gonna want to do an intake trust me
If you want the full potential, get a high flow intake and exhaust. You can adjust the fp3 along the way as you mod.
Can you lower the idle with the fulepak?
Phily yes you can.
sounds nice! did you ever do the exhaust in addition to the intake? probably have to re-map again
What kind of tuner did your Sportster have before?
Hell yea, i follow BLOCK HEAD.
Hey man, what handlebars are you using? My brother just bought an 883, and I think he would really like yours!
Victor Kelley I think those are stock bars man
Dude we watch because we're into bikes nothing personal.
Ron Scott what?
You were asking about doing a vlog on your personal life and I was saying the people who watch your vlog's are interested in riding so ride on and keep up the good work young man.
Ron Scott oh I gotcha! thanks!
What seat is that? I like it.
Really need to work on those gear changes. You are letting the clutch out too slowly causing a dragging/slipping.
just subscribed to your channel! awesome videos dawg. one little question: in a few months I'm turning 18. would you suggest the iron as a starter bike or is it too big ?
Manos Mylonakis iron would be a great first bike
solestorm thanks for the answer !
Manos Mylonakis i have the 883 iron sportster there very easy to ride and can be great for customising just ordered the stage one kit for mine will be installed Saturday cannot wait lol
solestorm sounds awesome man! must be really nice to actually have a motorcycle. can't wait to get my hands on one! have fun with yours and be safe !
I want to lower my back shocks but can’t find anything on it. ( 2017 883 ) I don’t want to wing it.
burly brand slammer shocks
Did your bike have 3 pins on yhe connector
Do you have stock exhaust ??
what settings do you have on now??
Buying that air cleaner as we speak. Thanks sucka!
D-DUB you're welcome!
how milles its neccesary to do a stage 1?
hello bro what kind of seat have on your bike??? :D
Raul valdes I have the mustang solo seat!
Thank bro nice bike and nice video!!!
Isn’t electronic fuel injection wonderful!?!
As for the camera, please adjust the angle a tad bit higher, I like seeing the speedometer but I feel like I’m looking down.
Blockhead was attempting the Autotune...the can map worked fine. issues were with autotune. I have the same issues with autotune.
Hi. I m Sorry. May you show me the AFR Tab?
great now go get some fuel!
I want this bike😭I need to practice
what is the orange light on your instrument panel? just low gas? or does the fp3 make a check engine light come on or something?
ACR3D1 check engine warning. All you have to do is clear the problem "Y" in the diag..
Ey dude just to let you know and the same doesn't happen to you , today I removed my FP3 after having it on the iron since I bought it around 8 month ago to make a video about installation and I found corrosion inside the diagnostic conector and 1 pin almost gone by corrosion if you don't use the FP3 app while your riding unplug that bitch off lol or use some kind of battery terminal protector in the conector .
really like the vid, but the view needs to come up a little. almost made me dizzy.
Brennon Rasmussen sounds good thank you!
Its a NARROW BAND tuner which means it may get you in the ball park of a good tune but its nothing like a wide band tune as in a real dyno tune with either O2 sensors or a tail pipe sniffer. Not to mention with this unit your driving it around while its tuning, which means as you ride it could be lean, or rich etc.... On a dyno if you see it running rich or lean you stop immediately , make adjustments and try again. With this its possibly going to cause engine damage while it drives down the road popping, missing and not running right as it "learns" the fuel curve. Cool idea and concept but NOT IDEAL...
Not to mention watching these videos it looks like it takes hundreds of miles or more.. silly really IMO
The autotune builds off a stock map for your make and model (and associated aftermarket parts). It doesn't cause your bike to run "worse" as it "learns". It only becomes better. It does not damage the bike in any fashion.
Oh! And most people ride hundred of miles in a day....
@@Biikiiniii then why have i seen several youtubes of people using it and they say " it pops, back fires, stumbles, runs rough etc..." during the learning process? All that can't be good for it
@@Biikiiniii i can't say if that's true or not but what's that got to do with it? Hundreds of miles or more is hundreds of miles or more to tune it. No matter if it takes a day or days i think hundreds of miles is silly to tune a bike. Especially a narrow band tune, which as you know is NOT as good as a dyno wide band tune that takes a few dyno pulls and its done
as far as an outro goes, just do what you feel.
Learn to release your clutch correctly before you burn it.
It’s a wet clutch you could ride that bitch for miles and it’ll be fine.
Man you gotta keep that bike full of fuel. Seems like you are always on low.
Seriously. It costs about $4 to fill that tank. 🤨
Ben likes men
Seems like your spark plugs are crappy
I wouldn't say scarey fast
engine light..
Fuel Light
Blockhead was auto tuning.
You still alive you have not made a video in a year
CageKicker I know I know
TheAlienBeard you still making videos? You still have that 883?
CageKicker I am not at the moment but I still have black Betty!
Ugh, the garbage music made me switch to another vid.
Just another gay on another 883.... hahahaha. Keep it up bro.
wait, you don't even have a beard? why do you have beard in your name?
Looks,sounds torqueless
Not popping because not lean.. Your bike is running how it should
