that's not possible. you need two walls then. Or do you mean having different materials on the two sites of a wall? Then check out the material catalogue (the little brush symbol with the drop)
The only way to do that is to create a fitting texture, import the texture into archicad and use it on the wall. But you can't do that with the default materials.
Good video! Thanks! I am from Russia, I want go work in Europe and now I learn achicad for a work, but can you told me - what program now more usability: archicad or revit, course I want now what I need more?
Archicad is much more powerful then Revit. It is also faster and easier to learn. Revit is limited at some point of individual design freedom, while Archicad is able to build almost everything.
Revit and Archicad are both extremly BIM-orientated. Revit is very common in America, while Archicad is most used in Europe. The reason for this is, that Revit is from an american Company (Autodesk) and Archicad comes from Europe (Grapisoft) and both do excellent marketing on their home-continents. The problem with Revit is, that is very impotent in 2D stuff, so Autodesk tries to force you to buy Autocad with it. That's clever made from Autodesk, but uneccessary.
I understand that engineers use it, but do architects use it, too? It's good, that you want to learn both. Then you will have the most selection. Wish you good luck with your applies!
Mhhh.... Do you work with two monitors? I once had the case, that I had the rendering preview window on the second monitor while I was working on monitor one. And Then I changed the Computer and I couldnt see the preview window anymore because Archciad in some kind of way was thinking that it is attached to the second monitor. So I had two switch to the other PC with two monitors, pulled the preview window to the first monitor and then I was able to see it on the other computer again. Maybe it's similar in your case.
Banana Réda Maybe you are Inside a wall. sometimes you stand inside a wall, but you can see through it. but when you render, everything looks black. try to render from a different position and let me know if this was the problem
It doesn't work with splines. I didn't use any splines in the videos. But you can create splines and than choose line and click with the magic wand on the spline. Same effect.
How do you have your pens configured? It looks beautiful
That's the default setting of the German version of Archicad. I changed nothing there :D
this video literally just saved me my job :D
Job saving is our super power!
Awesome. Great video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Wich Archicad version are you using? Is Truss maker in any Archicad or it's a plugin?
Sorry, I have already seen that it's Archicad 20, but can you answer me the second question please?
I am always using the latest version. So right now it's 22. In this Video it's 20. The Truss Maker is part of every Archicad Version.
Thanks buddy, I'm improving my Archicad Skills
can anyone advise me please, trying to get to know how to render a wall with two different surface colours
that's not possible. you need two walls then. Or do you mean having different materials on the two sites of a wall? Then check out the material catalogue (the little brush symbol with the drop)
no. what I mean is two colours on a wall on the same side one layer above, the other below, pls
like painting a wall. one paint white and the other blue on the same side, one wall
The only way to do that is to create a fitting texture, import the texture into archicad and use it on the wall. But you can't do that with the default materials.
Good video! Thanks!

Ou, thanks for answer. I have heard that revit more usability in BIM in big company and that in America revit is also most accsepted is it true?

So I will learn archcad more, thank you again. (In Russia we use autocad a lot of be course all engineers and constructors use nearly only it)
I understand that engineers use it, but do architects use it, too? It's good, that you want to learn both. Then you will have the most selection. Wish you good luck with your applies!
Why don't you use the railing tool for that?
Hi, I tried to open 'select and activate' box, but it doesnt appeared. im using archicad 22 right now.
