Megalovania is the song everyone listens to when discovering Undertale. Asgore's theme is for veterans, this is the true masterpiece of the whole soundtrack.
This is how I imagined it sounding when fighting him. Church bells, god choirs, the whole orchestra cheering for him. To free the monsters. Such a tragic song.
But in the pacifist run, you became friends with everyone. They don't want him to kill you, so I don't think it fits. Personally I dislike remixes that make this song to 'Epic'. It's meant to be a struggle of pain between the two of you. You both don't want to fight, but you both have no choice. The original had an air of regality to it for Asgore, and the looming suspense in the instrumentation for the outcome f the battle. Either way, the monsters win and lose. There's also the fact that the choir doesn't suit his character. Sure, he's a king and he has followers, but Asgore himself is "A big fuzzy pushover." He doesn't want to fight, do you think he'd want to set up an orchestra to back him up? He's a depressed king, filled with sorrow and hope... I just don't think his theme should be over the top.
I've gotta say, in my opinion this is the best rendition of ASGORE out there. The royal feel about it, the choirs, and just that mood of desperation and reluctance amplified from what it was in the original. It's remixes like these that make me thankful for the loop function. Nice job!

11thShadowDragon - Bombast is like....punch. It’s the big “booming” sounds in music. He’s basically saying the drums in this song weren’t loud enough. Bombast makes everything seem bigger and more epic, which would help this song greatly, even thought it’s good enough already.
This... Man, I think this has got to be the best orchestral asgore mix that I've heard. You're so underated, this is unfair... I love the strength of the strings that was used, that actually brings some melancholy through the song because of how Asgore feels tons of regret...
+TheMusikage Glad you liked it! High-quality sample libraries can be pretty difficult to use. They have a lot of flexibility, but this also means they require a lot more time to program properly. Creating legato transitions, switching between articulations, and adjusting CC1 and CC11 are especially time consuming.
And here we see another example of Asgore's poor naming skills. His theme is literally called "Asgore". (Want another example? look at Asriel's name. He literally named his child their ship name (ASgore toRIEL). Wow).
srry cant think of a good name Actually, I just noticed; If you combine the two theme names, you get: King in the Mountain; Asgore. It sounds like a pretty cool title for a king. Not very original, but still pretty cool.

The fact that both Frisk and Asgore don't want to fight each other at all, and neither one of them wants to hurt the other, but they stand with no remaining choice; no matter how sad it is and how much neither of them don't want to fight, they remain there with little choice but to fight: Frisk for their life and freedom, and Asgore for the freedom and hope of his people. Turnabout Monsters, if it were possible to hack and replace sprites in Phoenix Wright; Ace Attorney, this is sure to become the number one priority. Let's think of monsters that would cause crime and the story behind it. Alphys would probably be the last one for all the amalgamates or Flowey.

The thing that amazes me about this piece is not only the faithfulness and professionalism put into it, but the fact that some how you made a rock beat work. A lot of orchestral remixes use a rock beat, but then they seem to layer the orchestral piece over it just like that, and when I hear it, it often bothers me and makes me rather displeased with the track because they make it sound so out of place and weird. But you my friend, you not only made it work, but this is REALLY beautiful. Faithful as ever, it captures the emotion of Asgore but maintains the epicness without it overflowing. It doesn't go overboard with the timpani or the choir pieces, it keeps true to the theme and it really just sounds amazing honestly. It easily ties with Steak House's remix of Asgore's theme on my list of favorite Asgore theme. 11/10 Keep up the work, I anticipate more greatness from you!

Coming from megalovania, and now, THIS one sounds good with orchestra. I feel like this piece was composed like an orchestral piece, but had to be implemented to fit the other pieces in the game.

Out of the bosses in the Pacifist, True Pacifist, or any Neutral Route, Asgore is the most tragic. At least for me. He lost two children in one night. Toriel left him. He had the blood of six innocent children on him. Although he declared it through rage, he did mourn them more and more each time. He destroys the MERCY Button not because he wants to be badass. He just doesn’t feel like he deserves your MERCY. What’s sadder is that he looks happy if you do kill him. klaytonrocks Hell no, the original pitch is alot more heartfelt. Sure it's a bit different from bergentruckung. But i'd say it's better than what everyone else is done.
Le Dapper Greninja It's not practice that it requires (though certainly in general yeah it does), it's that the original song is pitched between two half notes so you'd have to tune every instrument that way.
I like the transitions between every section of this arrange. It's so filled with emotions, I can actually feel Asgore's battle through this remix. Nicely done :)
What I like from your orchestral mixes is that you are loyal to the original song unlike other mixes are more like covers, different tempos and stuffs. This one and Megalovania just shows you have great talent and ear. Keep up the amazing work!

One reason I started making these is that I couldn't find orchestral covers that were both high-quality and stayed faithful to the original compositions. It seems many arrangers want to express their own creativity through their covers, but I prefer to keep them as close to the originals as possible. When I want to express my creativity, I just compose my own music.
I really like how whenever people do orchestrated versions of this song when they do bergentrückung they are never the same like this one has it in a sort of sad but still epic way with lots of percussion and in another one I heard it with a very slow violin and choir emphasising the sadness.
Even today, this is the only asgore remix on the internet that manages to absolutely nail the "toriel" section. I really wish we could get a 30 minute extension to this one.
You cover is awesome ! Unlike others remixes found on youtube, i don't have the feeling that it have been made only to impress, with a lot of things playing at the same time. It may reduce the feeling "i'm fighting ASGORE, a very powerful monster" sometimes in the cover but i think it's another style for this music, a very beautiful one ! Only one regret : i wish there was more undertale covers on from you... :)

Ahmad Baihaqi The intro to it is named that. The fight music itself is just named "ASGORE".
Not only that but Bergentruckung means "King in the Mountains" and Asgore is a king who lives in a mountain so not much originality there either.

It doesn't go overboard with the timpani or the choir pieces, it keeps true to the theme and it really just sounds amazing honestly. It easily ties with Steak House's remix of Asgore's theme on my list of favorite Asgore theme.

+Deathboy802 Thanks so much for the comment! It's been a big challenge figuring out how to combine a drum kit with an orchestra in a way that sounds natural and authentic. Percussion is my biggest concern when I do one of these, so I'm glad you think it sounds good.

Coming from megalovania, and now, THIS one sounds good with orchestra. I feel like this piece was composed like an orchestral piece, but had to be implemented to fit the other pieces in the game.
Thanks! While it did turn out a little better than Megalovania, there are still a few issues with it that I'll definitely fix if I make an updated version. Overall, I felt that Spear of Justice sounded the best with purely orchestral instruments.

Out of the bosses in the Pacifist, True Pacifist, or any Neutral Route, Asgore is the most tragic. At least for me. He lost two children in one night. Toriel left him. He had the blood of six innocent children on him. Although he declared it through rage, he did mourn them more and more each time. He destroys the MERCY Button not because he wants to be badass. He just doesn’t feel like he deserves your MERCY. What’s sadder is that he looks happy if you do kill him. But truly, if he does regret his decision, and wishes that he could take it back, give King FluffyBuns MERCY!

It's good. But.... I REALLY hate how noone gets the pitch of ASGORE right. I mean they do pay attention to the pitch right? It honestly makes a hell of a difference.

Le Dapper Greninja It's not practice that it requires (though certainly in general yeah it does), it's that the original song is pitched between two half notes so you'd have to tune every instrument that way.
I like the transitions between every section of this arrange. It's so filled with emotions, I can actually feel Asgore's battle through this remix. Nicely done :)

What I like from your orchestral mixes is that you are loyal to the original song unlike other mixes are more like covers, different tempos and stuffs. This one and Megalovania just shows you have great talent and ear. Keep up the amazing work!

One reason I started making these is that I couldn't find orchestral covers that were both high-quality and stayed faithful to the original compositions. It seems many arrangers want to express their own creativity through their covers, but I prefer to keep them as close to the originals as possible. When I want to express my creativity, I just compose my own music.
I really like how whenever people do orchestrated versions of this song when they do bergentrückung they are never the same like this one has it in a sort of sad but still epic way with lots of percussion and in another one I heard it with a very slow violin and choir emphasising the sadness.

You cover is awesome ! Unlike others remixes found on youtube, i don't have the feeling that it have been made only to impress, with a lot of things playing at the same time. It may reduce the feeling "i'm fighting ASGORE, a very powerful monster" sometimes in the cover but i think it's another style for this music, a very beautiful one !
