Love the new stage format on your videos, it give it good branding to your channel.

I have the small diameter Tone spinners in the 3 drive sizes, and the Koken in 1/4 and 3/8. I actually prefer the Tone spinners. There's just more to hold on to. If you want a good ratcheting spinner, SK has a USA made line that's nice and thick to get a grip on.

KTC BAE23 it's an adapter but it's pretty flush. I use it with my ratcheting wrenches and astro sockets to hold the socket in place.

Oh! I think this is what I had in mind on the last video when he asked for suggestions. I couldn't remember who it was from. This looks very close, though I also want to say I remember a black oxide spinner that's similar. Wondering if it might be from Hazet or... some other German brand... Also trying to think who even had videos on this stuff. If not bzeug, I would guess ChrisCas.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what he wants. I have two sizes and they work well in super tight areas.

That's a Gearwrench Gimbal ratchet - gimbals only make sense when they're loose. Wishing you success on your hunt, I'd like to get something similar too.

Two other Japanese 1/4" spinners (not ratchet) that you might want to try:
    - KTC NEPROS NBE28: very nice rubber grip ring (that is also replaceable, part n. NTYR1201).
    - KTC BE2-Q: body made of red plastic, works OK.

I've seen a Nepros version of the Koken and Tone spinners with a rubber grip that you might want to consider. It might still be too thick, but it's worth a look.

VIM is going to be very similar but often slightly better.

Craftsman made something back in the day, a black wafer with a 1/4, or 3/8 square cut in the middle. Essentially a coin with the square cut in it. You'd place it in between the socket and the anvil on the ratchet, and it stuck out just the right amount. I actually have a separate plastic one that came with a cheap no-name brand set of sockets with ratchets that a friend gave me.
The Craftsman one came in a yellow plastic soft sleeve with a clear flap. I wanted to buy them as they were listed on eBay a couple months ago for $45+ and didn't pull the trigger. Now I can't find the multiple listings anywhere. Anywho, that isn't quite what you are looking for anyway. We should get someone to make a coin with a protruding 1/4 and 3/8 nub out of the middle!

I have one of those cheap harbor freight sets that came with a blue plastic wheel and you can insert between the ratchet head and socket. I bet you could try that on the tone ratchet by inserting a 1/4 to 1/4 hex bit in the top ans inserting the blue wheel.

I’m curious if you know of any 14mm jdm bits for SAE hex sizes? Vessel and Amex make metric of course, but I’d really like a 3/16 for 1/4 20 socket head cap screws.

I know what U want and HAVE seen them for sale, its more like a flat thin coin with a grippy edge. I think Sealy tools makes one but ill look around and edit my post.

Some other options for you to try, although I couldn't find all of them in 1/4 drive:
    - Asahi VQ0300 - coin style but it goes on the socket side instead
    - SEK ORH205
    - STRAIGHT 10-1875
    - Pro-Auto RH-205T2
    - KTC BRG3
    - STRAIGHT 10-6500

They are all ratchet drivers (except the first one that does not fit anyway), something that @bzeug does not want for this particular application.

Huge fan watch all your videos……. I am currently in the process of ordering an Amazon Japan order. How can you tell if it’s a good quality tool before you order it? Or is it just a guess? Anything to look for?

One thing I look for is Made in Japan. Unfortunately that can be hard to determine at times. Yes I do guess and take chances on purchases, sometimes its great and sometimes it isn't.

I have a couple of SK USA Ratchet spinners (1/4 & 3/8). One has barely enough knurling, the other is nearly smooth. Why can’t someone make a ratcheting HAND spinner that is low profile and with good knurling? Some of us don’t need these things to withstand a lot of torque. We need something we can grip, get into a tight spot, and have low back drag. And we aren’t using them with ratchets necessarily.
