    One of the best wiring kits made.
    Easy to install and comes with just about everything you need for a tri5 Chevy.
    Always fun doing some wiring right! Take it easy Brad 👍🏻

    I put the AAW 500434 in our 57. The aaw kit is a very nice kit and was my 1st complete wiring job. That's been 3yrs ago and everything has been awesome. My car was complete so I pulled carpet and seats out to make it easier, and dash obviously. The kit I used come with everything you need, didn't have to buy anything extra. Follow there directions and don't skip ahead to different bags. Go step by step and you'll be fine.

    That little push button on the light switch, I pressed one in 1977 on my 66 Ford. I still remember it. What a discovery that was

    I just ordered a AAW Factory Fit kit for my 55 hardtop. I don't have but a couple deviations from factory and I wanted to keep the wiring installation simple. Thanks for the video!!!

    I put the American Auto Wire kit in my 57. At first i thought it was going to be a bit daunting but the kit was fantastic. I didn't rush and just follows the instructions. I had extras as well with electric windows and moving my battery to trunk area but it all worked out well. The only thing different to your is i mounted my fuse box up on my side pillar.

    • @MontanaGarage
      @MontanaGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree it seems a bit daunting when you open the box and see ALL the different stuff. Once you get rolling however, it isn't really all that bad. DID you move the fuse box for any specific reason, or is that where it goes with the '57 kit?

    Great Start. I wished I hadn't watched this video as I am going into withdrawals waiting for part 2. Glad to know your procedure went well. I had a Bi-V AICD put in about a year ago, so I can relate to what you can and can't do following the procedure. Good luck and I'll be looking forward to the next segment. Give Moose a head scratch for me. MoB On!

    The instructions seem very thorough. I have heard that if you can read you can cook. I imagine it also applies to installing a wiring harness. 🤔 Hey Moose 👋

    • @MontanaGarage
      @MontanaGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching Gorni. You do have to make some decisions about how to route the wires, how to cover/secure them, and terminate a fair amount of wires. So, it is not really plug and play but still easy enough for your average car guy to figure out I'd say. More to come!

    Great video Brad, thanks again for that gas door, I really appreciate it my friend. That wiring harness is pretty easy isn't it?

    • @MontanaGarage
      @MontanaGarage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Mike. I was happy to share the gas door and glad it helped you out. The wiring harness is pretty easy. I had to make some changes as you will see in the next video, and that made it a bit harder or at least I had to do more figuring. It is easy enough that I figured it out, so I'm guessing just about anyone should be able to do it!

      Definitely not quick, or easy. I have no idea how many hours in total I spent doing the whole car, but plenty for sure. I too am very happy with the outcome, and assume I could do it at least twice as fast next time. Thanks for watching!
