    The best time to walk around on foot in Putrajaya and a Lake in Cyberjaya is between 4:30 pm to 6:45 pm. This is when the heat from the Sun is cool a bit compare to 11:15 am to 4:00 pm. Around 6:45 - 7:00 pm you will be able to witness a good view of sunsets and calm moment. If you want more quiet moment from 7:15 am to 8:30 am - you can walk or cruising around Putrajaya and a Lake in Cyberjaya on Sunday (Weekend) where Private Companies and Government Offices are closed - which mean, less traffic and congestion. Once you complete that - rest a while with good hearty good Malaysia Breakfast at Malay-Indian (Mamak) or Malay Restaurant in Putrajaya and Cyberjaya. Enjoy. Stay Safe.

    The steel mosque was supposed to have 6 minarets, however as a cost cutting measure, the minarets were not constructed. You can still see the base of the minarets within the mosque itself, as it was designed to have those tall towers. I still have the original architecture drawings/blueprints of the mosque. 😄

      The old name of Putrajaya was Perang Besar or in English literally " Big War".
      It was once a huge sprawling oil palm estates in state of Selangor.
      Malaysia is a federation of many states.
      The agreement to transfer Putrajaya from State of Selangor to Federal Govt of Malaysia was inked in 1999.
      But the most interesting part was that the agreement was signed by 2 parties with blood ties.
      The father, then Sultan of Selangor and the King of Malaysia signed on behalf of Federal Govt
      Meanwhile, the son ,then Regent of Selangor signed to represent Selangor

    I enjoyed your attention to detail. I’ve never been to these two mosques and found this interesting. Great video!
    Btw, I can imagine there’s a lot of work behind creating these videos. Do you enjoy producing them, or would you rather travel without worrying about taking pics or making videos?

    • @wattstraveling
      @wattstraveling  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I actually like taking pictures. Organizing the material is my least favorite, but once it's all organized I like editing each video! My most favorite thing is making the thumbnails! But yes, it's a lot of work, good thing I like it! Plus, I'm constantly learning new things about editing!

    The two mosques in Putrajaya have nicknames. Masjid Putra is aptly named as the Pink Mosque (due to its colour) and Masjid Tuanku Mizan is also known as the Masjid Besi (Iron/Steel Mosque, perhaps due to its shiny metal appearance).

    • @wattstraveling
      @wattstraveling  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Yes, I kept calling it the "Rose" mosque but ya, the pink mosque was beautiful. And the "iron" mosque is majority made of metal from Germany! 👍

      Hello, I have plans to visit Putrajaya, but I am a little worried about transportation. I plan to start by taking a train or monorail to Putrajaya center. How can I move around to various destinations? Is there Grab available? Sorry for the possibly silly question. Thank you.

      @@ninokeyiz2256 There is an MRT line to Putrajaya. There are also feeder buses that provide transportation to and from the MRT station covering the Putrajaya area. Yes, there is also grab services. Expect huge crowd on the eve of 31st August and the morning of 31st August b’coz the National Day Parade and celebrations will be held in Putrajaya.

    5:08 Those trees are palmyra palms which can grow up to 100 feet and live up to 100 years. In ancient India, as well as in the past in South East Asia a region heavily influenced by Indian civilisation, dried and treated palmyra leaves were used as writing paper.
