Dude, I'm a Malaysian living in KL, 8km from city centre. I do go to Putrajaya sometimes, if i hv meetings with my government clients at their offices. I do not walk around Putrajaya under freaking hot sun like you two, coz I do not want to get heat stroke! And another thing we Malaysians love our parks and gardens very very much including the parks at Putrajaya, like the Brits we hv picnics at the parks besides jogging and cycling. And we do those activities in the weekend bro! Timing wise, early in the morning and late evening say after 5pm when it is much cooler! So if you say Putrajaya is a quiet city, so be it bro! Under rated, it is ok too! Putrajaya is a calm and peaceful city! We Malaysians like it that way bro! Peace✌

It's a city you have built for yourself - so, it's very cool that it's the way you like it :) Yep - we have seen that a lot, that you like going to parks / nature and have picnics (we have spent ~ 1 year in Malaysia in some 20 visits, most of the time in Langkawi and KL).

I would advise anybody visiting putrajaya to spend at least one night here. Visit the gardens, go fishing, rent a kayak, during daytime - there's botanical garden where you can rent a bike, saujana hijau if you want to have a picnic or just walk around, wetlands if want to see all sorts of birds or go for glamping & taman warisan. At night you can visit secret garden putrajaya or walk around ayer 8 - there's a lot of eateries & activities at night there. There's nothing much to do weekdays in the middle of the administrative centre.

Been in Putrajaya before in 2003, the place is very clean, many parks with a beautiful landscape full of green. Putrajaya is really quiet because many people are working.if there is a public event or a new government event, putrajaya is a modern city and unlike other cities in Asia that are noisy and crowded.

Your title is wrong. People do visit Putrajaya especially the locals, it is during the mid day very hot, and also you don't know where the hotspot are and where to go. Minutes 7:45, its a Monorail Suspension Bridge. The Putrajaya Monorail construction has been shelved in 2004, 19 years ago due to federal budget constraints and since the city does not have the density to support mass transit, however it will probably resume as the city becomes more populated.

Malaysian city are mostly car centric that is build for car and everyone mostly own one since the gas/fuel is one of the cheapest in the world. i hope our government will tkae this matter seriously to make Malaysian city more pedestrian friendly like our southern neighbour Singapore
