It was cool to see you guys in Montana at the Brawl. Wish I had taken the opportunity to introduce myself. However I am certain I’ll see ya down the line.
My daughter is left handed and is doing well with my right handed guns, but looking to get her, her own. Any recommendations for off the shelf rifles in left handed?
What discipline? Any competitive shooting or just a solid fun accurate rifle? I am lefty and love my Savages after I put some TLC into them (basic stonework and action smoothing) After I added a chassis I could easily have FUN at competitions I've also tinkered on 3 Ruger americans lately that made me thing "great value." Like savage, there are a few quirks but overall a solid rifle and they seem to really be accurate shooters. Only thing I don't like about them are the factory stocks. If you want something a little more elegant, CZ550/or 527(223 only mini mauser) It really depends on what the "needs" are.
I don’t have any recommendations for an off the shelf rifle for this type of shooting. Jake started shooting with my RH rifles, most of which were Rem 700s. He competed the first year with my 14 pound 260 built on a RH Rem 700. Once it became obvious that he was committed to going all the way, he progressed through a LH Surgeon 591, then into the Defiance Deviants he’s using now. It’s hard to recommend off the shelf stuff after I’ve seen how much better these actions are. They make shooting and competing much more enjoyable. I know custom rifles are expensive from personal experience, but the performance from one might keep your daughter interested in sticking with it. The ammo/components and barrels will soon eclipse the cost of a Deviant that lasts forever.
@@tylerwischerman5075 For PRS go ahead and get a good action. If you like doing stuff yourself a remage/savage-style barrel nut barrel replacement makes life easy. If you have a common footprint receiver, you can stock it or barrel it any way you please over the years. Its nice to be able to switch purpose from hunting, tactical, bench, ELR, PRS, whatever as tastes change and personalities grow. PanhandlePrecision nailed it.
@@PanhandlePrecision thanks for replying. This young man is a heck of shot. I wanted to attend a long-shot school but the China virus kept me out. They start sighting in at 900 yards and work to one mile.
Previous generations had to open a dictionary or encyclopedia to get answers. Now days one has Google or other providers at their fingertips. All you need to do is ask/type: “500 yards in feet” and you get instant results. No disrespect intended of course.
It looks like Jake is about 18” taller than the last video! He’s got to be the tallest in the family at this point-haha. Thx for posting!
Haven’t seen y’all post in a while. Missing your videos
Watching NRL keep up the great shooting Jake. Congrats to your dad for a outstanding job on teaching you
Dat reload is crazy smooth

I’m ready for some more reloading videos.
Way to go Jake! You sure look smooth. 😁
One good suggestion to keep muzzle from jumping arround? That rifle didn't move at all!
Heavy rifle and a muzzle break
