I don't think stability is the word I would use to describe Carr. He was terribly inconsistent. Especially towards the end of his run with the Raiders. There were plenty of games, in years where we were in the hunt for playoffs, that the defense did their job, and we still lost. Carr had a bad habit of playing down (or up) to his competition. Not to mention after his injuries in 2017, he started to play scared and it caused him to be inconsistent. He was usually pretty good at putting up yards, but his touchdowns were low. compare his seasons yards to TDs, and compare those yards to other QBs in the league. He fell way behind in TDs.

Raiders have a brand new massive and beautiful stadium, they have a ton of picks and are top 3 as far as what their draft picks are worth they also have the 3rd largest cap space and they are a very young team in fact one of the youngest in the league and drafted really well last year and contrary to what this record shows and what people believe the raiders have a lot of talent l, especially defensively with great players at every level of the defense they just had a lot of injuries and if they get a wr a rb and a qb which is exactly what this draft holds you all better believe this team is primed for great things.

Having been a big supporter of DC4 until that last season, even accounting for the McDisaster Effect, I think a lot of fans got caught up in the fact that off the field, Derek was a great person, exactly the kind of guy every team should want to be the face of the franchise. But games are not determined by who a QB is off the field. Even so, my main criticism of Carr was the false humility of always stating that he had to play better year after year, and not demanding accountability from his teammates. I saw a lot of balls hit receivers in the hands only to slip away or deflect into a pick. I saw Derek sitting on the sidelines too many times when we were behind laughing and joking with teammates, especially DA, when he should have had his focus on a damned tablet to study what the opposing defense was doing. Why was Josh Jacobs the one to call out the lack of work ethic of his teammates? Because DC was simply not a leader. He continually acted like he was still in college, depending on the coaches to rattle cages when needed, instead of stepping up and doing it himself. Too much of a people-pleaser. He seems to have matured a little in this regard in New Orleans, so perhaps the change was good for him, but he ultimately ran my patience out, and I probably gave him 3 or 4 years more than the average fan did.

Exactly DC was mid only had 2 good seasons out of his 10 seasons with the team but somehow the fans make him out to be all world but was mistreated by the franchise c'mon man he balled hard yes but was in noway a winner
Having been a big supporter of DC4 until that last season, even accounting for the McDisaster Effect, I think a lot of fans got caught up in the fact that off the field, Derek was a great person, exactly the kind of guy every team should want to be the face of the franchise.
But games are not determined by who a QB is off the field. Even so, my main criticism of Carr was the false humility of always stating that he had to play better year after year, and not demanding accountability from his teammates. I saw a lot of balls hit receivers in the hands only to slip away or deflect into a pick. I saw Derek sitting on the sidelines too many times when we were behind laughing and joking with teammates, especially DA, when he should have had his focus on a damned tablet to study what the opposing defense was doing.
Why was Josh Jacobs the one to call out the lack of work ethic of his teammates? Because DC was simply not a leader. He continually acted like he was still in college, depending on the coaches to rattle cages when needed, instead of stepping up and doing it himself. Too much of a people-pleaser. He seems to have matured a little in this regard in New Orleans, so perhaps the change was good for him, but he ultimately ran my patience out, and I probably gave him 3 or 4 years more than the average fan did.

This fool doesn't have a clue about the Raiders. They haven't proven anything, so they have a losing culture right now. It doesn't matter how many big names you have around. They are a dysfunctional organization. Throw enough money, and you can bring in player. Mark Davis has not been just on the sidelines watching. He's absolutely gotten involved way too much. They had stability at the QB position with Carr. They've had none in regards to HC and OC. And yes, I'm actually a Raiders fan.
