Test MotoGp & Moto2 Mugello Circuit, May 14, 2024 - Yamaha & Aprilia, Quartararo, Rins, Savadori

- With great surprise, private MotoGP and Moto2 tests took place today on the Mugello circuit. The Italian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, June 2, and this day is an excellent opportunity for the teams to test new components/settings and prepare for the upcoming race. Four teams were present: Yamaha, with official riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins; Aprilia, with rider Lorenzo Savadori; Honda; and Ducati. The latter is carrying out tests with the MotoE. While on the circuit lawns, I witnessed no laps of the Honda riders, Luca Marini and Joan Mir. Since the tests will also take place tomorrow, I imagine they will be present on the track with long sessions on Wednesday, 15 May. It is truly spectacular to see these very powerful bikes in the Mugello circuit's splendid acoustics; I was impressed by the crazy speed on the straight. Enjoy! 😉
Con grande sorpresa oggi sul circuito del Mugello si sono svolti dei test privati MotoGP e Moto2. Il gran premio italiano si disputerà Domenica 2 Giugno e questa giornata è un'ottima occasione per i team di testare nuovi componenti/settaggi e prepararsi all'imminente gara. Quattro le squadre presenti, Yamaha con i piloti ufficiali Fabio Quartararo ed Alex Rins, Aprilia con il pilota Lorenzo Savadori, Honda e Ducati. Quest'ultima sta eseguendo delle prove con la MotoE. Durante la mia permanenza sui prati del circuito non ho assistito a nessun giro dei piloti Honda, ovvero Luca Marini e Joan Mir. Siccome i test si svolgeranno anche nella giornata di domani, immagino che saranno presenti in pista con lunghe sessioni Mercoledì 15 Maggio. Devo dire che è davvero spettacolare vedere queste potentissime moto nella splendida acustica del circuito del Mugello; sono rimasto davvero impressionato dalla velocità sul rettilineo, pazzesca. Gracias, me alegro que te haya gustado el vídeo 👍 La recta tiene 1.141 metros de longitud y en 2023 Brad Binder alcanzó la increíble velocidad de 366,1 km/h con la KTM RC16. No tengo información de cómo fueron estas pruebas, esperemos para Yamaha que haya algunas mejoras. La carrera se llevará a cabo en esta pista dentro de dos semanas y tenían una gran ventaja al poder realizar las pruebas en esta pista.

Thank you so much for the video. I could recognize Quartararo, Rins, Crutchlow, Savadori, but there was one rider with a black helmet and a leather with Yamaha written on its back, who was it ? It is seen around 2:20 in the video. You say there was a Ducati moto E, but that can't be with Yamaha written on its leather. Could it be Crutchlow ? The bike was black with a weird fairing. You're welcome 🖐 I don't know what the black bike is. I thought it was a SuperSport or something. I can't tell you who the rider is. I can confirm that there was also a Ducati MotoE going around yesterday. Still, I didn't film it because I disliked electric motorbikes and their accelerated electric forklift whistle sound.

I think all teams should give the rider with a potential contract for the new team a chance to ride their potential bike for the next season before signing the contract. It will eliminate alot of issues. Why was yamah so successful a few years back ?
Your idea would be perfect, but it doesn't work like that in the world of motorsport, unfortunately. Yamaha was an excellent bike, but unfortunately, they didn't understand the importance of aerodynamics, and in recent years, they haven't invested in this direction like Ducati and Aprilia have done. Now, they have a lot to catch up on, and I think it won't be easy-it will take a few years. The same thing for Honda.

Eh lo so, hai perfettamente ragione. Io non sarei per le concessioni, Ducati ci ha messo anni di sviluppo per arrivare al punto cui sono ora, con un budget che non è certo quello delle Giapponesi. Se le squadre nipponiche hanno dormito sui loro allori per anni, non devono adesso chiedere "concessioni" per il ritardo che hanno...

I'm not sure it would be that simple for Quartararo; he certainly could compete with the best, but you're forgetting Bagnaia and Martin. Indeed, if Fabio had the Ducati, it would be nice to see him, Marquez, Martin and Bagnaia always fighting. Imagine if Pedro Acosta had a Ducati too...

@@enricocelani8292 Si, la velocità mi ha lasciato senza parole, a tratti alzano pure la ruota in piena velocità a fine rettilineo. Pazzesco. Decibel sparati all'infinito suonano rabbiose e belle potenti. Ti dico che se ci passi una giornata alla fine è meglio portarsi 2 tappi per le orecchie. Che poi l'acustica del Mugello è magnifica e quindi è uno spettacolo sentirle.

long exhaust pipes have horrible noise.
Rossi potrebbe ogni tanto andarsi a fare qualche giretto con la m1 e dire la sua e sfornare qualche consiglio o opinione utile x migliorare quelle cazzo di moto... è pure brand ambasador Yamaha 🤷♂️
L'idea non è male, ma se Yamaha deve ricorrere a Rossi che non è più in attività sulle moto vorrebbe dire essere completamente alla frutta. Non ci sono scappatoie, devono investire e provare finchè non trovano la quadra. E non sarà facile e veloce. Il gap attuale con le italiane e KTM è consistente.
