- Finally we got rid of that horrible OPF on the RS3. Honestly its shocking how much louder the car has become. Make sure you guys head up to Infinit Performance if you want a similar job done on your performance car that has an OPF.

The OPF sucks indeed. I don't know why they didn't develop an LPG kit for the RS3 (even older models) yet... I've got a TSI with LPdi (liquid LPG direct injection) - 95% less particulate emissions and the use of liquid LPG can even boost engine horse power... (Since it has got a higher octane rating than petrol) and if it evaporates in the cilinder local areas cool down so more oxygen per cm³!

There used to be a curry advert on TV a good few years back might have been for Patak's. The Asian family where from Scotland their kids had very strong Scottish accents that was funny.

First time I've heard of a larger diameter downpipe making it lag more. The only way that would happen is if for some reason a larger downpipe increased the pressure after the turbine, which I just can't see being the case.

Sounds incredible now you've chucked the OPF and standard intercooler in the bin! I'm looking to do something similar to my M140i but I was wondering what are you going to do when it comes to MOT in a few years? I guess you'll look at putting the stock exhaust back in?

For me the TTRS was the loudest by far followed by the pre facelift car being the 2nd loudest and then finally your former OPF RS3 was the 3rd loudest (but by no means least in any way bro). Interestingly I only noticed flames being spat out by your car (perhaps the engine was warmer than the other cars at that moment).
It would of been nice to measure the noise with a decibel meter...

Don't forget to take off the bonnet insulation on it, it makes a huge difference once you get an air intake!

Does everyone like the pops and bangs? I think i'd look like a right fool driving around with that going on with every downshift after putting my foot down.
Is there anyway to map it to be less intense? Under load it sounds spot on....

I just have to check you on 1 thing.
It is a proven science that when you have a turboed car, to get maximum HP and Torque, you go with as big a bore exhaust system as possible. The idea of 'back pressure' is only relavant in non turboed cars.
Bigger the downpipe the more the low down lag, fact!
