Love your garden. Thank you for showing me that it is possible for me to do a project like this while saving money...I know the professionals are probably blowing smoke out of their ears and I know a professional would do it differently...but that cost of labor can be expensive. This shows me that following simple rules and my own sweat and tears can get the job done...and how much more rewarding 🎉

I love the way you laid them out for the outline, brilliant idea. You can really get "a feel" for them to, and make changes before digging. I have not done any research, but I think I might have tried sand under each stone to leveling. Still a great video! You created exactly what I have envisioned, and now I get to see yours first.
It's a great natural look that I think will be even better for my space. I have two areas on each side of my house where nothing will grow but moss. A perfect place for pathways from my front to back yard on each side.

Beautiful! And I love the idea of letting the stones mark where they lay.
I always have my SawzAll with me when doing stuff like this - easy to cut the outline. It’s also handy when putting in new plants - I have a lot of big roots to cut through.
The same golf cart that carries my SawzAll and shovels pulls a tarp - handy for piling up the turf and soil, plus misc. sticks and yard trash, equipment like drip irrigation tubing, or even bags of mulch. Wheelbarrow usually stays in the shed.

This is the BEST video! You look like a model, not a garden gnome, or whatevet you said.😂 I knew you had to be from Jersey, the way you pronounced water like "wooder". Lol I'm in W. TN, zone 7b, and my partner is from Pitman, NJ. He says "water" (wodder) now. My DREAM is to garden in NJ, because our summers are miserably HOT. The work you just showed - just the digging and placing of ONE flagstone would wear me out! You do beautiful work. Thank you for this video!

I find that I have to try a couple in a spot and see what takes.
