I remember listening to Longmont Potion Castle back in middle school when a friend played a CD of his. All I could remember of it was that he was trying to purchase a "digital goober" from Best Buy or some other electronics store. I always wanted to listen to the CD again, but I couldn't remember the name of the prank caller. Now after all this time I can finally go back and re-watch it!
And it is junk.
That's like me with Cledus T Judd. Only ever remember hearing "Willie's got a big deck" when I was out and about with one of my older cousins and he had the CD playing in his truck. I can't remember where we were going or what we were on our way to go do, but we were laughing our asses off the whole way in that electric blue extended cab second gen Ram 1500 sport pickup listening to Cledus T Judd.
We had a classic prank calling series in sweden during the 90s called "Hassan".
Had some great laughs at it, still have it on a CD somewhere. Some great classics off the top of my head include:
Caling an outlaw biker gang with a "gay lisp" asking about wether his dirt bike make him eligible for membership.
Calling the "Drug tip line" giving a tip about this great new type of heroin you can smoke.
Calling "Parents against drugs" while fronting as a representative of "Parents for drugs" trying to set up a debate.
Calling a city council fronting as a movie producer asking what parts of the cities they can bomb for a movie shoot

Best one I've ever done. I called my friends school and acted like his father. Got my buddy sent to the office after he got packed like he was going home. Got him waiting there for an hour. But because I acted like his father they added my number in the school registry as his dad's. So when his dad didn't show up, They called me. I got him to stay in the office from the beginning of the day all the way till the end.

That’s not true, there is no federal regulation for a phone call (third party wiretaps are different) some states only require one party to know about the recording I.E. the person recording.
