Heard on Gaby’s stream all the way from the other room: “DAK FAYDEN WHEELED?!?!?!” Meanwhile, somewhere in Seattle, Marshall suddenly gets the urge to mutter “greatest thief in the multiverse...”
"I wanna assemble the combo of Oracle of Mul Daya and Vivien where you can play creatures and lands off the top of your deck. Just infinite chain. Well, I guess Oracle has a limit. And so does Vivien, due to mana." That shouldn't really have been that funny.
You're helping calm me down right now LSV, been going through some shit, just know that your calming voice is the exact thing I need right now. Love you, brother.
I almost lost it at "I really would like to get that mana flare off the board but I don't think I can do that" but then he noticed. Hahah good old LSV.
Got introduced to MTG through 2 sources. LSV's 2008 grapeshot elves win at Berlin, and my friend who gifted me a red/green aurochs tribal deck. I've been playing ever since.
Minute 2 - takes 5th pick fractured identity. Comments on how you should never be passing the card. Minute 46 - LSV casts fractured identity -> opponent concedes
Can somebody explain how Vintage Cube works for me? I thought it is, like, 360 unique pre-selected cards drafted by 8ppl. But then I see both players having Sol Ring and Smuggler's copter. Are the games not within the pod?
How is his opponents playing cards that he has in his deck? Sol Ring and Smuggler's Copter? Are they playing against multiple tables? Or does the cube have multiple copies of cards in it?
This is about M1G1 Opponent had an Enlightened moment and scooped 'em up. That M2G1 was legendary. Oh no, after all the things this deck did, and it got.... Junded.... Makes you wonder what decks they fought and/or good draws to be 2-0 at that point.
I dont understand why the match 1 opponent would cast Enlightened Tutor, and then concede. Can someone... enlighten me? (that was a happy coincidence, not planned)
Good to see junding out in powered cube. Disruption into rabblemaster wins about the same turn splinter twin does turns out. People complain about uro like it was the first 3 drop that just wins the game on its own, and simic being egregious forgot about how gross red was for a long period. I mean rabbles wins games on its own in legacy to. And Uros a a 9 drop delve that has an spiral+lifegain adventure for if we are honest about it but delve is busted at 5uugg for a 6/6 that draws ramps and gsins life.
man, the dack stealing turn 1 sol ringis so disgusting. you gotta just throw your hat on the ground and jump on it like an old prospector when that happens...
So companion nerf was big enough to not even bring up playing 60? I mean I don't think the card depth was there regardless but interesting that it wasn't even a talking point. Edit: And right as I hit submit in game 1 🤣🤣🤣
even without the nerf I'm pretty sure that the power level of the best cards is too high to consider running 60 in vintage cube. Your top 5 cards are just too good. In regular draft yorion might be the most powerful card in your deck so having it every game is great.
the quality of LSV's cube drafts are insane. He is so good at communicating what is going on through his mind.
He is my favorite limited content creator. I don't even play mtg online and probably never will but I just learn a lot with his thought process
Agreed. Would be interesting to see people like reid try that more aswell
His knowledge of the game is outstanding
i love his drafts, i think he could be a lot better though if he didn't force blue every single draft.
Years late to this comment, but my statements exactly.
"I guess I'm not likely to be literally dead."
Blightsteel Colossus: "Imma about to ruin this man's whole day."
Heard on Gaby’s stream all the way from the other room: “DAK FAYDEN WHEELED?!?!?!” Meanwhile, somewhere in Seattle, Marshall suddenly gets the urge to mutter “greatest thief in the multiverse...”
@10:42 "That's disrespectful!" The insulted tone that came out in made my day.
LSV's love for the game always shows. Instead of getting salty at a loss, he is constantly impressed with what his opponents put together.
"Who's Jund now??"
*Maelstrom Pulse*
"...Yeah, ok. You're still Jund."
"I can't lose to JUND. Not with my sweet blue deck!"
Evergreen statement.
"dynamo isn't gonna wheel"
>Wheels
HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT
"I guess I'm not likely to be literally dead"
*dies immediately*
You've just got to love Vintage cube and the weird, weird shit that happens
Oh yes, this is very close to Christmas, a whole hour of pure LSV vintage drafting
Christmas in July, maybe
"I guess I'm not likely to be literally dead"
I love how passionate and excited about the deck LSV clearly is. It's infectious :)
"I wanna assemble the combo of Oracle of Mul Daya and Vivien where you can play creatures and lands off the top of your deck. Just infinite chain.
Well, I guess Oracle has a limit. And so does Vivien, due to mana."
That shouldn't really have been that funny.
Just add Fastbond!
Pretty weird that LSVs podmates had each drank a gallon of everclear before entering the pod... Curious to see how those awful decks worked out lol
You're helping calm me down right now LSV, been going through some shit, just know that your calming voice is the exact thing I need right now. Love you, brother.
That last game highlights just how truly unlucky LSV is. Maybe one day he'll be as lucky as Ben Stark.
Wow, vintage cube draft is really entertaining! Love seeing all these wacky combinations of cards working well together.
holy shit. that game that ended with frac identity on the avenger was soooo sick. I would've died.
"This is why I like mulliganing aggressively," said LSV, unsarcastically
People don't do this enough! Especially with the current mulligan rule and doubly so with the power level of LSV's deck.
Ah, yes, the first ever LSV Vintage Cube Draft.
I could get used to seeing more of these.
After watching other MTG content creators you always come back to LSV #GOAT
I almost lost it at "I really would like to get that mana flare off the board but I don't think I can do that" but then he noticed. Hahah good old LSV.
Vintage cube is back, and LSV is opening Power. Maybe the world isn't ending after all
LSV drafting Vintage cube is my favorite Magic content.
Those were some brutal games, but I loved every second of them.
5:00 smuggler's copter (in a creature-light deck) over trinket mage (for sol ring and walking ballista)? or even over tundra/inspector/swords/etc?
Man that was a pretty severe moist junding at the end there. Still great video as always!
Christmas in July I love it. Thanks @LSV
Keep them coming love watching lsv play cube
I'm a simple Sliver, I see Master LSV playing, I PRESS LIKE
Got introduced to MTG through 2 sources. LSV's 2008 grapeshot elves win at Berlin, and my friend who gifted me a red/green aurochs tribal deck. I've been playing ever since.
Your Draft vids are the best LSV :) Love to see you streaming a lot
Match 3, How did someone sneak their modern Jund deck into vintage cube?
Omg that last round opponent had all the answers at the right time.
Minute 2 - takes 5th pick fractured identity. Comments on how you should never be passing the card.
Minute 46 - LSV casts fractured identity -> opponent concedes
That was such an awesome game
Can somebody explain how Vintage Cube works for me? I thought it is, like, 360 unique pre-selected cards drafted by 8ppl. But then I see both players having Sol Ring and Smuggler's copter. Are the games not within the pod?
That blight steel play was so funny lmao nobody expected that
amazing performance by the jank 4c deck in the final round
If you resize the cards so there's only 8 cards in the top row, the number of cards in the bottom row is how many will come back
I have been exploring other parts of youtube, but now I feel home.
Welcome back!
Game 1 round 2 "A BLIGHT STEELE" 😂
How is his opponents playing cards that he has in his deck? Sol Ring and Smuggler's Copter? Are they playing against multiple tables? Or does the cube have multiple copies of cards in it?
It's the most wonderful time of the year~
That laugh at 46:40 is wonderful.
At around 51:12 I think you could've swung the shark, taken the progenitus attack, and top decked time warp for the win.
garruk on 5, threatening overrun, he had to miss the damage attacking the pw. No chance even with time warp
He can't keep getting away with it!
Me: So Terminus right?
Lsv: 7:12
Me: Obv Thassa’s oracle
Thats what I said too.... lol with all that mana could be useful
Vintage Cube by LSV Is the best
@LSV> Remember the days of being able to play 4 sol rings in constructed?
LSV is my real dad
Is Volcanic Island into Sol Ring the most ominous turn 1 in all of Cube?
Yesss me like LSV cube videos.
Isn't thraben inspector even more busted with urza than crypt and ring? A 1 drop that makes a mox that also cycles?
And I will see you next time, lsv.
Even LSV's luck ran out after a round 2 like that one
I watched this draft about 8 times now and I think nothing could even have gone better every single time
Finally... where have you been Luis!
Nothing like the T1 Sol Ring Match 1 three Games in a row! That opponent was very sad.
Tutor is a chance to see what in your deck might be able to handle your opponent, as well as get a card.
Vintage cube ftw!
This is about M1G1
Opponent had an Enlightened moment and scooped 'em up.
That M2G1 was legendary.
Oh no, after all the things this deck did, and it got.... Junded.... Makes you wonder what decks they fought and/or good draws to be 2-0 at that point.
No thought to Trinket Mage P2 P3? Fetches Ballista and Sol Ring.
Haven't even watched yet but YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Love these!
So had anyone else ever seen or played Boros Big Mana/Reanimator? Rd. 1 opponent's deck was wild
No love for trinket mage when you have sol ring and ballista?
This draft was great for Luis's complaint equity... opened Crypt and Sol Ring, but no power.
Incredible wheels. Just how??
What, it's back? I was supposed to sleep it's midnight in here but damn I need to watch first what blue or storm deck LSV will draft lol
I'm still waiting for the fabled Channel-Sphinx's Rev deck
Wow they put elder gargoth in vintage cube?
At 36:00 yo exiled the Courser of Kruphix with Nahiri. How? Isn't she supposed to exile a tapped creature? Courser was untapped.
Forgot Courser is also an enchantment. I am dumb
Match 3 made me have to wash out my eyes for the filth that occurred hahaha
Would you consider a short video on the goblin wizardry control pauper list?
Casually rhyming land destruction with hand disruption #lsvBars
I’m confused about how he couldn’t bounce the progenitus with karakas at 51:00. Can someone explain that to me?
It had protection from everything meaning it cannot be targeted by anything including a tap ability
It has protection from everything and since Karakas is a thing, it can't bounce.
Lsv: you never pass fractured identity
Me on monogreen with channel and natural order: ok(?)
That's what Noble Hierarch and Utopia Sprawl are for!
passing trinket mage was a weird blunder
I dont understand why the match 1 opponent would cast Enlightened Tutor, and then concede. Can someone... enlighten me? (that was a happy coincidence, not planned)
Was this streamed somewhere?
Frantic Search goes well with Emry too
Does he draft against the Arena bots or something..?
I think I would've gone down to 16 lands considering he had both mana crypt and sol ring.
im prolly not literally dead....
then Blightsteel appears
I wonder what Dack Fayden does for a living and if he is any good at it...
Well, I have bad news for you...
Dack Conquers Death when?
@@ChannelFireball As the greatest thief of the multiverse he could probably steal life somewhere ;)
Actually figured out life during all this, whoops.
so nahiri exiles untapped creatures while it says otherwise, intresting
That match against mono green was gross
Is the cube back up??
Yes
P2P3: Trinket Mage doesn't even get a shoutout when it can already get Sol Ring and Walking Ballista?
7:02 wtf two disrespectful wheels in one pack
Trinket mage would've been GAS in this deck
imho: enlightend tutor was a clear tell for sneak attack
it could have been redundancy for a stoneforge mystic package for all we knew
Magic Christmasland drafy
Passing tez for Emery then not taking the slaver.......*Vincent vega looking around confused gif*
pepperonis and pizzarinos
God that last opponent was RUDE !
13:21 1st round
LSV, not playing cards with Therese Neilson art? Very PC of you!
