@Boulder Pathways Technically sound, but choked waaay more than he should have. Belmonte is head and shoulders better than pretty much everyone. There's no other way to explain what he's done in 11 years.

I really like Phil brilow and Chris Barnes in the booth because every other sport talks about the technical aspect of the sport they are playing. Chris Barnes and Phil are both very good at commentary. They know the sport, Chris the physical aspect like EVERYTHING physically. Phil knows score, and the mental aspect of bowling, and a little bit of the physical game as well. That's why I typically like watching PWBA because they usually have kulick and Dave Ryan in the booth and both are very good with knowing the sport. I love watching the sport, I would just say the commentary needs work on TV. This is very good though.

@@Jboob dave ryan is the worst sports caster in the history of sports. i honestly don't understand how he has a job. he doesn't know anything about the sport, and his play-by-play is as boring and mundane as humanly possible.
Kyle sherman has a youtube channel with his friend brad its called brad and kyle and they do bowling vlogs and tip videos you should go check them out
they do such a great job sharing their knowledge of bowling. it's simple & to the point, I highly recommend their channel as well

Kyle is an awesome bowler. I wish that I could bowl that good, but with back issues, it’s not happening. My best game was the first frame 9 spare then 8 strikes in a row then 9th frame was a 9 spare, 10th frame was a 9 spare and then a strike. If I remember correct, my score was a 268. I was rum and Pepsi buzzed at the time. Shame on me.

I love Randy Pederson..... but Chris Barnes is just an absolute pleasure to listen to when he calls these matches. I feel like he explains in detail the exact thing I’m wondering as soon as I think it. He just puts himself in the mind of the bowler and explains points that competitive players want to know. Randy might be a little more friendly to the casual viewer... but honestly, how many regular folks just turn on the TV and watch a random bowling telecast? Thanks Chris!
I sure hope Barnes will do all of the PBA broadcasts from now on! He reminds me so much of Bo Burton (a guy I grew up watching and listening to with my Dad on ABC back in the late ‘70s and throughout the ‘80s) it’s astounding. Very classy men, both of them. A MASSIVE step-up from Randy ‘Big Mouth’ Pedersen. God, I never could stand that guy...🙄
I was at park side lanes for this and EJ was so mad after this he closed the door to the room where all there balls were and throw his bowling ball on the ground he was understandably pissed lol
And by throw i mean he 2 hand slammed the ball on the ground

You don't make step ladder in any tournament, especially a pba national tour stop, if you aren't good. Wes is still a great bowler.

In my opinion, not a huge fan of throwing the Ball straight towards middle and opposite corner pins, I’d rather throw hook at those.
Flat patterns can punish you trying to hook at those. When you throw straight at them, it takes the lane out of play. That being said, I hook at them on a house shot. It’s just easier.

That whiff 2-pin is going to haunt EJ for a while. Not only did it cost EJ a title, it also cost him an additional $14,000: $4,000 extra for getting first place in this tournament, and an extra $10,000 for the overall points bonus (he finished 2nd for $10,000 but first place in this tournament would have brought him to 1st in overall points for $20,000.)

On their topic of wiping off the ball. I NEVER wipe off my ball. You can either wipe it off every time or never wipe it off and you get the same consistency!
But the first ball you bowl will never have the same oil as the second bowl.

It's good NOT to see and hear Randy Pedersen and his big mouth. The world's worst announcer. Without a doubt Roger Bowker was the best commentator ever in the history of the PBA.

I never understood the shift from the classy, golf-like PBA telecasts with Bo and Chris Schenckle to the ridiculous, idiotic, pro wrestling-like shows with Rob Stone and ‘Big Mouth.’ I’m glad to see things starting to return to the way they used to be during my childhood back in the late ‘70s and ‘80s...

Kyle Sherman surprises me. I don't think he's really that good to make tv shows but he does. Anyone win except Belmo. I'm'm tired of his face. Tell me why everyone claps on every shot these guys make? That announcer is very annoying. We can read the scores buddy you don't have to tell us.
He’s very young though, you’ll see him loosen up in the coming years, he just needs to get used to the pressure. You’ll be seeing a lot more of him

Kyle is a good bowler and young. Anyways, he has a channel with Brad Miller called Brad and Kyle where they vlog tournaments. It's a fun channel. During the vlog earlier this week or last week, Belmo talked on the vlog ribbing Kyle in good fun for beating him with the luckiest pin falls. Belmo seems like a really fun character (not just based on the referenced vlog) never understood the hate some give him.
