    Excellent video, thank you.
I recommend people reading Synesius' On Dreams in conjunction with the Republic, especially with respect to the cave analogy and Socrates' approach to going to sleep at 571d5.

@allaboutplatonism I tried buying your book, but I can't find it from a distributor that delivers to Ireland. Is there an Ebook version for sale?

Thanks for your interest. Unfortunately, there is no ebook version. Have you tried Amazon.uk? It is also available directly from the publisher, Prometheus Trust. There is a link in the description box of this video.

If you had judgments of your other selves would that be like having the the rich at the top being in power but if non are judged then it's like a democracy and a free for all?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question.

@@allaboutplatonism Going from a timocracy to a democracy as mind states, and the faction starting in the aristocratic, would that lead to any whim that takes hold being like the democracy as one vice is used to control another vice, so like what ever is voted up becomes the ship master. Not sure if I'm any more clear tho sorry.

@@desfurria6232 What we saw in the oligarchic state of mind is that socially unacceptable desires are repressed. In the democratic, those desires overthrow the government of the soul. How exactly that manifests will be discussed next week (although you can always read ahead on your own! 😜) Thank you for clarifying your question. I hope I've addressed it correctly.
