I completely agree with you about "gendered colours". I avoided the colour pink for a long time because I wasnt "girly", but I'm so glad I got past that because pink is such a fun colour for hair!
It’s a lovely color on you! I like how it came out with different tones to it as well instead of one solid shade. Colors (and clothing) should be genderless and nobody should get shamed for looking how they want. Society dictates rigid gender rules on us and it’s just such an outdated concept.
I used to feel the same way about the color pink growing up (I'm 24 for context). Pink was always associated with being "girly", and being "girly" had a narrow definition. I never felt like I connected to that narrow and outdated definition, so I rejected the color pink because I felt like it was being shoved down my throat, it seemed like all products for girls were pink: toys, clothes, decor, etc. I used to hate the color pink, but now that I'm older and wiser (hopefully lol) I realize how silly it is to attach such negative meanings to colors. I honestly didn't change my mind fully about the color pink until I had dyed my hair pink some years ago. Now I don't hate it and if I wear it I don't feel like I'm being put in the "girly girl" box 😁👍I hope you enjoy the pink hair while you have it, I think it looks great and it complements your skin tone well too! 😊🖤💖
I totally agree with you about gender and colours. I’m glad gender norms are changing and that we can be more ourselves these days. I agree men and women aren’t that different, and we shouldn’t box ourselves into these old gender stereotypes.
I really like it. It's very pretty. You look like a little woodland fairie. I had my hair green over the fall and winter. I'm in the process of growing my hair out a bit including my baby bangs. I just want something new. I'm letting my natural hair color come back in and I'm going to fade it into a burgundy red color.
My favorite color is blue and i was always made fun of because it was a "boy" color and like you mentioned i never felt "girly" so i didnt like pink. But im very happy that i can proudly say blue is my favorite and its the best. Lol Also this look is amazing! I love the recycling of the flowers! Now ive gots some ideas for my household flowers!! 😊😊🖤💙🖤
Ich bin auch mit dieser Einstellung aufgewachsen und muss eingestehen, dass ich aus dem Grund auch Pink immer gemieden habe. Kalte Farben stehen dir sehr gut :) Ich bin mehr der warme Typ :D
My mum dressed me in corduroy trousers when I was a kid, yes I wore dresses and stuff as well, but my mum did great with that and I love the pink hair, it looks really cute 😊 x
Love this and thanks for sharing your thoughts. Unfortunately kids are still being socialized to associate pink with girls. Look at little kids cartoons-even now that cartoons highlight skill building (literally have it written on screen before episodes)-the female character is STILL wearing pink. And on the occasion there is more than one female, the other gets yellow. It’s not cool that there is an UN-learning process that has to take place to come to terms with pink is for everyone and gender is a social construct!
Oh I'd love to see how your bleached and lavender hair color turned out D: it must have faded out already though hahaha I just discovered your channel and I'm in love :3
Thank you for this statement! I discovered I feel like I'm neutral gender. I'm born a female, but something never fit. This was a game changer for me. I am way more happy now and feel more like myself. Such little side notes as yours help a lot with feeling normal. Thanks again :)
Love how your hair turned out! I always thought gendered colours was silly... I'm just not keen on pink on me. I don't wear it unless it's mixed with other colours.
Ironic that pink is a bit of an underappreciated colour because I always found it to be one of the most mystical ones. It *technically* doesn't exist and it's just a filler that our poor brains made up because they can't actually see that wavelength. What could be more magical than that?
The whole gendered colours thing is so weird. I was super lucky growing up, my brother was a punk and had neon pink and white hair so it wasn't something that ever really phased me
Das MakeUp und deine Haare sehen super aus! Übrigens: Wir haben dir gerade eine E-Mail geschrieben. Schau doch mal rein. :) Wir würden gerne mit dir kooperieren. Hab noch einen schönen Tag Dein Yepoda-Team
I am a redhead so I've always hated pink because it really doesn't suit my colouring. However, I'm glad the idea of gendered colours is disappearing. It is funny though, I have 2 nieces-sisters- and one is a 'tomboy' and refuses to wears pink as its a 'girl colour.' The other loves everything sparkly and pink. Their parents are very modern thinkers who didn't raise them with strict gender ideals and yet they seem to still have picked them up somewhere.

Did you put the pink over a grey toner or grey dye?

I find carnation pink doesn't last long at all

I bet that sucked no Mera Luna this year.
