Well problem is the BIS classifies XRP as a 'group 2' asset, meaning it's volatile, and limits banks to holding 1% of their assets in group 2. BIS could change this but as of now that's what it is.

Then, whenever they want to transact - they would just transact via the XRPL or private ledger DEX which would have access to pools of XRP for liquidity.
