These days, you probably know Nadeshot as the celebrity owner of 100 Thieves, one of the biggest esports orgs in the world.
But getting to the top took a lot of risks, including leaving behind his place as the face of competitive Call of Duty.
Nadeshot lived one dream, then another - he kept betting on himself, and doing things no esports org has ever done before.
He dared to dream big, and is one of the rare few who was willing to risk everything to make it happen.

I never grew up watching cod, but mad respect to Nade. I only began watching and following since they joined LCS. I’m such a big fan of his business and his podcast. So much to learn about business/organizations and it’s cool to see the behind the scenes of everything Nade has done
Would love more CoD coverage. Even if it’s just talking about the old legends of the scene
I’d love to see more coverage too. It might not be Counterstrike but it’s still one of the longest running esports out there with a dedicated fan base
Amount of times I’ve commented this 😂 I mean Scump, Clay, Karma, Crim, all great stories. Formals is still being made. And covering champs at least would be nice
just had him on my team for a valorant game in D2, super chill dude and a legend in the FPS scene!
W Video. Nadeshot is a true inspiration to all of us in the COD Community
Glad I got to see his whole career unfold, still remember the first CoD team 100T had in BO3 with Patty P of all people. Wild how big it's gotten but well deserved, true legend of the eSports scene
"TAKE WHAT IS NOT GIVEN" - NADESHOT
nadeshot got me into competing in esports been 11 years now
guys the into the Dark idea is great but its so cringe how you sit their and have a fake conversation
True, its just so weird how they are forced to hold a drink every second they are shown and then of course there are the scenes where they mix the drink to transition to another scene, its just so goddamn awkward to watch
For real
They are paying for these video with that wth??
That's a better ad integration than it was with Qualcomm, good work guys
i think the video was sponsored by kraken rum
Odd seeing the video is viewed by more people under 21 than over
@@emsj86that’s only America
@@emsj86and this is a Canadian company
Really? I must be blinded by something...
Gotta give his props to the man for what he has accomplished whether you like it or not. I see no difference between him and any other esport org founder. His clothes at the very least are dope
wonder if the guy who wanted to compare bank accounts with him in Valorant will see this
I’ve seen a lot of ur guys documentaries but this one one is the one I remember going through personally. The optic house, road to 50-0 on GB, watching all the MLG and UMG events, the chat always asking “when does optic play” etc. This was my childhood growing up. I remember when made announced he was taking a break. I always thought that he would be back considering he finally had a goated roster back then. Seeing a documentary about something you watched happen while it was going down is crazy.
Same bro
The guy is a GOAT, more eSports players should take note 💪
I can't believe it's been 8 YEARS since Nadeshot founded 100T - it feels like it was only like 3 years ago man
Holy shit a video on cod player that isnt painted in a bad light woah
Great video. Lots of good memories. That being said, I don't really feel comfortable with alcohol sponsorships in esports, due to it's demographic. Hope you can find a better fitting sponsor in the near future.
it was cringe but it's not an age thing at all. You know the demographic for esports is like mid 20s right?
Unfortunately that’s how they’re gonna keep this channel running. They have to take sponsorships from Shopify, Kraken Rum and even the time when they obsessively pushed for Mobile games esports when Qualcomm snapdragon sponsored them. Point being they are only a few companies willing to burn money with no expectation of a return and they have to take what they can get to pay salaries for their team.
W vid, will always love 100 thieves
Call of Duty did a lot for the esports scene whether people want to acknowledge it or not. It might not be the biggest esport, but its players/creators/owners are some of the biggest and most passionate personalities creating some of the largest brands.
I'm not gonna lie I really like the vibe of these videos but when you guys sit down with yourselves an interview yourselves as if you're the person showcased in the video I turn it off immediately.
My friend actually use to work at the same McDonald’s Nade did in Oak Lawn, IL lol
Had no idea he was from Illinois
I would to see more videos on the origins of call of duty on youtube. Maybe cover some of the OG cod TH-camrs. MarkOfJ, Ronaldinho, Xjaws. So on.
thats why he's the goat
Why do the convos seem so insanely scripted? Doesn't sound natural at all...
That’s the problem I have with this series. It seems like they’re trying to mimic the podcast format that’s been successful recently but it feels so scripted so it doesn’t work.
The worst thing is them seemingly not being able to let go of their drink as if the scenes weren’t awkward enough
Yea, it feels so weird that they're doing this podcast/interview style like they have a Nadeshot lore expert on. But everything is scripted, and it feels kinda weird when you throw in multiple people to tell a single story.
@@SilversEC and even if it wasn't scripted, they are random people who don't actually know nadeshot at all. They're just employees of thescore....why not interview nadeshot, or nadeshots friends/coworkers?
@@TachibanaTengokuyeah that's my biggest complaint with this series. It's focused on one person (Disguised Toast, Nadeshot, etc.) yet they transition to him sitting at the table giving the impression he's about to interview said person annnnnddddd nope. Just 2 employees of the company who read a script while the camera focuses more on the drinks than the subject at hand. It's honestly kinda disrespectful to the people that they make these videos for.
Bar setting and scripted conversations made this feel incredibly, incredibly forced. Great effort on your research tho. 👍
Agreed, those are easily the worst part of the video. It's like they originally wanted to interview nadeshot or people in the know but didn't end up getting them so they had to just do it with their fucking coworkers, which are basically just a bunch of randoms lmao
loved the research and everything . loved the setups , theme , everything possible.
But keep that in one possition. dont walk it a take close ups
please
Great video research and edit. Unfortunately like many other comments the format was not it.
The 🐐
DO THE NADESHOT DANCE DO THE NADESHOT DANCE
Game breaking
Have you guys noticed that this video is sponsored by kraken rum?
mum said i am too young for cracken
As i a cago 100 thieves fan its sad to see you guys say have a csgo team for 5 min and Then show the Australien team and not brazil team😢
9:53 A big reason Nadeshot retired was because his team wasn't playing that well and Nade felt he wasn't as good as the other pro's any more.
You really made it sound like Nade was the best player in the world when he retired.
What? Do you know what ur talking about? His team was one of the most dominant to start the AW season. The only blemish was then come up short on champs.
😂😂😂 that couldn't be anymore wrong. Listen to his podcasts
ngl but conceprt of vd talking like its podcast its not it
He didn't change anything? He was just part of the group that rose up wit MLG/popularity. He didn't change anything and honestly he just cares about $$ at this point - thieves for sure.
hey dont knock 100 Thieves CSGO they have a Major Sticker
Love ur Cs content theScore
He still looks like a mcdonalds cashier😅
W nadeshot
product placement cringe
Love coming to yall for esports journalism, but this new format is corny as hell. Even if we give you a pass on the gaudy Captain Morgan product placement (guess you gotta get your bag somehow) the conversations don't feel natural.
PagMan
damn first?
Apperantly
Idk either me, you or the other comment.
Really want to enjoy the video, but the product placement and interludes is almost in your face now
First
Nope
the scripted conversations is cringe
That into the dark conversation is such a turn off and very cringey. I hate how at some point(a lot of points) the guys talk about the topic as if it happened to them or they were there to know the experience first hand. Plus the acting is horrendous. A weird messy mix of podcast and interview of some irrelevant people
Hoodie org.
Nothing more nothing less.
Nadeshot is great, 100T not so much in terms of what it brings to e-sports now a days.
@@tylerhowey So basicly one trick pony aka nothing of value, this could of been any other random org.
This org has no consistency they do not build legacy they build merch for consumers.
C9 has way more recognition and tittles and teams across many more games.
Also NA orgs LOL lmao xd.
hard to have any respect for a guy who dropped the csgo team the way he did after promising them the world
You mean dropping the csgo roster after covid happened & there were no tournaments to be have in the US so all teams had to move to Europe to play & 100T didn't want to operate outside of the US?
Bro so much kraken spiced rum ads, I've literally never had a worse hangover in my life. My kidneys shut down from all the polyethylene glycol in that swill. Downvote.
