- It’s roughly 10 AM Eastern Standard time and Tim “TheTatMan” Betar is whispering to you through a mounted microphone on the other end of the computer screen. He’s categorized himself under the “just chatting” section on Twitch.
The TatMan experience then begins to pick up its pace as the clock creeps toward 11 a.m. As Tim finishes his last full-cam conversation you can hear the menu-screen music from Fortnite blend in seamlessly.
And if you take a close look Tim has risen to be one of the most prolific streamers Twitch has to offer.
But how did he get to be a part of this crazy high school sitcom that landed him with more than 20,000 viewers at at time?
This is his story.

You guys missed a critical part of the story which was Tim's CS:GO era before Overwatch (which personally made me start watching Tim) I was expecting more from this video detail wise since this channels content is normally top notch research. Disappointed tbh :/

I really loved Tim's stream when he streamed Overwatch.
Tim might be the most genuine, likeable, honest and honorable guy in the game. He truly deserves every bit of success he's seen as a streamer.
I loved him when he played ow. I just can't stand fortnite so I can't watch it anymore, but I get get it.

5:54 thank you for putting in that Ninja clip, i've had a great 6 years of watching Ninja and i parted way because he's too fabricated now but i loved when he played reach.
Damn watching this brought back memories of watching him in his first couple months of streaming. I watched him way before he got his sub button which was a lot harder back in the day. Crazy to see what he has grown into!

@OpGamers i mean they didn't really call him his friend. When you think of sidekicks you think of someone who honestly has minimal impact on the person with the skills and they called him Ninjas sidekick. Like I don't know any sidekick that's like actually memorable throughout sidekick history(real life or otherwise) other than robin. Cuz batman is famous af.

I'd argue his CS GO days were the best followed by OW. And there has definitely been a change in Tim since he started streaming Fortnite.

@@wyattcusick5824 Tim seemed more I guess himself? During the time he played CS GO, like he wasn't trying to be someone else because he was playing with the most popular person in that game category. Tim seemed to hop on the bandwagon for Fortnite because that was the thing to do. With CS he actually had played it before. His history for CS goes all the way back to CS 1.6 so it makes sense why he played Counter Strike. But Fortnite eh Tim hopped on it because he knew he would gain a shit ton of subs and viewers from it. Tim just seems to always trying to be someone he's not because he's playing with Ninja.
Tim is one of those people where he makes you feel better not than just him but as a streamer and in life, you don't have to be the best to be successful. I wish I could stream because I remember watching his stream while I was in the same CSGO match as him without knowing he was in the same and put him to shame and he was very quite and said, "well played". Such a humble and exciting to watch streamer

i remember back then it was school holiday and i was sick so i can't do a lot of activities
but everyday the trio of tim, lassiz and moonmoon playing overwatch always entertains me and makes me laugh
a gamer with a heart of gold, yup he is even if i don't like fortnite i enjoyed having tim's voice in the back when i'm playing other games this dude had always been positive, entertaining i respect his choice

He is one of the few I expect is the exact same in real life. I didn't know as much about him as others and I just gained a huge amount of respect for him. He breaks the mold and I expect he will only continue to grow.

I mainly knew him first when he played Overwatch, hilarious back then. A naturally funny streamer. Ninja is lucky to have him in his squad. One of the few streamers that will get a decent amount of views no matter what the game.
