    I want S3E16 to start with Cooper waking up in a hospital bed, reach for his tape recorder and instantly go "DIANE, IT APPEARS I'VE BEEN LIVING THE LIFE OF DOUGLAS JONES AFTER 25 YEARS SUSPENDED IN THE BLACK LODGE. BY THE WAY, THESE PILLOWS ARE REALLY SOMETHING! GOT TO FIND OUT WHAT BRAND THEY ARE!"

    I love the way David Lynch honored Cathrine Coulson in the "Log Lady" dying, I understand she was a close friend of his and passed not long after this. My daughter knew Catherine and I thought this was beautiful>

      Yes! In the last episode and credits, we see “in loving memory of David Bowie“ in this episode, the Easter egg is “in loving memory of Margaret Lanterman“... I think that was officially her best performance of the character ever, in any episode!

    I think Sheriff Truman is "meditating" in the scene where he's looking at clip art of fish. In Lynch's book (Catching the Big Fish) he describes meditation as going deeper into your consciousness and being able to catch bigger ideas/fish. He's in a dark, quiet room, so I think it's just a visual representation of that. He seems like the kind of guy who would be relaxed by the idea of fishing/fish.

      I kind of read this as a quirky joke. He has a bad marriage and, at work, frequently hides out in not-his-office (as we saw with his wife griping him out for not being in his office when he was in Hawk's). I kind of felt like this was the wholesome version of looking up porn. Instead of low-res photos of boobs--something a lot of the other TP husbands might have done--it's low-res pictures of fish. 😂

    why isn't anyone talking about gold yet? Dougie turns into a gold sphere. Dr Jacoby's golden shovels. the gold blob during the trinity test. Laura's face appearing in a gold sphere. the gold apparatus that sends Laura to Earth. the log turning to gold. to a lesser extent Dougie's gold jacket and Ed Hurley's gold truck. i'm certain gold is some metaphor for the light of the human soul or kindness and love. i dunno waddaya think?

      Sounds good. Also, the color of the "pond" near the votex/entrance to the white lodge in episode 14, I believe, was gold (unlike the black/scorched-engine-oil pond near the entrance to the black lodge).

      Also, Twin Peaks several years back had a boxset called the Definitive Gold Box edition. I don't think that's a coincidence.

      ya i noticed that the pool at the white lodge entrance was the opposite of the black lodge entrance. i thought of it as white but oily so i just rechecked and sure enough it's gold. also noteworthy is the white lodge entrance has 1 sycamore tree

    • @jjjtccc
      @jjjtccc 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, I noticed that, too. Perhaps the white lodge is about simplicity (which Wyndam Earle would probably condemn as boring) - thus only one tree is needed, while the black lodge is about complexity. Evil is complex - for example, being evil requires lying, which requires keeping track of multiple systems of lies and false explanations, as opposed to telling the truth, which requires only one, usually simple, explanation.

    My favorite Audrey theory at the moment is that she's trapped in the wooden table in the stall we keep coming back to at the Roadhouse - just like Josie got trapped in the wooden doorknob, and the log lady's husband might be in her log. That would explain how she knows all those names (Billy, Tina, Chuck) and why she needs to "go out to the Roadhouse" but can't.

    Margaret Lanterman.
    Fireman - Lanternman...
    Also as mentioned the light fading in her cabin as the "lantern" dies.
    I think she had a tiny bit of that magical fire in her, kind of explains her mystical seer skills.
    She is with the golden logs now.

  • @gregjackson4069

    One thing you guys definitely missed. The "One more to go" that Chantal references is clearly Dougie Coop. Bad Coop has been hiring hitmen left and right to have him killed, and they've all failed. And he told Chantal and Hutch that he'd have a double header for them to do in Vegas AFTER they took care of Warden Murphy. So it always made the most sense that the two people they'd have to kill in Vegas were Duncan Todd and Dougie Coop.
    So yeah, we're definitely not done with those characters just yet. On the contrary, I think that's why they keep showing us how effective these two are. We're suppose to be worried about them coming for Coop.

    • @jjjtccc
      @jjjtccc 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! I'm very surprised these two guys (sorry, I can't remember your names - there are too many names to remember already in Twin Peaks: The Return) didn't catch on to that, since they've been quite smart and cluefull about the series in general. Coopleganger obviously regards Cooper/Dougie as his enemy and wants him dead, having hired Mr Todd to have him taken out. Now that Todd has failed and he's been eliminated (loose end, right?), it's time to have Hutch/Chantal take out Dougie/Cooper.
      Now, I think it's time to test Lynch's (and, perhaps also, Frost's) unpredictability. If we were all to guess what happens with the story line of how will Chantal and Hutch's mission to kill Dougie end?, what would we come up with. And would at least one of us guess what actually happens in the (next? next 3?) episode(s) with respect to that story line? Will Coop wake up in part 16, realize he and his "family" are in danger, and successfully take evasive action? Will Coop call Cole (again, having woken up) and will Cole and his team show up just in time to foil Chantall/Hutch? Will the LV FBI foil the plot? Will Chantal/Hutch succeed? And on and on. Whatever we guess, I think it's likely Lynch/Frost will one-up us.

    • @milton7763
      @milton7763 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jim Cochrane - Seriously, why is everyone so obsessed with guessing what the ending will be:
      1. It would just be a bummer if you guessed right (there goes the surprise)
      2. Lynch appears to be quite capable at putting us on the wrong foot and surprising us
      For me, the ending doesn't even have to and preferably doesn't provide all the answers. All I hope is that it ties in all the more important bits in enough of a way to let your own imagination fill in a version of events.

      Milton77 The obsession is to go down in social media notoriety and get their 15 minutes of fame in being the one that guessed correctly before anyone else, while in the process of ruining it for everyone else.
      It's a million in one shot, (perhaps 2 million, I don't know) but glory awaits!

    • @jjjtccc
      @jjjtccc 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Milton77 - I somewhat agree with you. However, I (3/4-jokingly) suggest that everyone guessing the ending would make it even more fun (than not guessing) if no one guesses it right. That would prove that Lynch/Frost are truly masters of unpredictability and make the WTF feeling we get even stronger. (A minor quibble: The inevitable scene with Hutch/Chantal and Cooper will not be the ending, as far as I can tell. I think it's safe to predict that the ending will take place, at least partly, in or near Twin Peaks and will probably involve Cole's team, Dale Cooper, Coopelganger, Truman and his team, likely Naido, and probably several other characters (Freddy&James, perhaps Sarah, Richard, Fireman, Mike, Experiment, ...). What actually happens, though, is probably going to be impossible to predict - even harder than predicting that Bowie/Jeffries turned into a giant tea pot.)

  • @martinstoianov91
    @martinstoianov91 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

    I feel like "Sharp dressed man" is foreshadowing the return of Dougie Cooper and Mr. C to Twin Peaks in the near future. Dale Cooper is a sharp dressed man, lyrics fit "silk suit, black tie, NEW SHOES" (Dougie/Dale Cooper) and in the music video ZZ TOP who are playing bearded man vanishing and appearing at places like the woodsman are helping the guy( Mr. C).
    It also seems that the Roadhouse scenes are becoming more and more important as the season nears its end and it might be the place for the final showdown.

    Cooper timeline theory
    Here we go. My basic idea is that Cooper was supposed to leave the Waiting Room *and* arrive in Twin Peaks at 2:53pm on Saturday 1 October 2016; however, he was tricked and he arrived on 22 September, - 9 days too early, in Las Vegas. Notably, if I’m correct, Cooper’s meeting with the Fireman (in Part 1) happens *after* DougieCoop sticks his fork in the socket in Part 15.
    Here’s my reasoning:
    Cooper leaves the waiting room, and then ends up in the glass box in New York. He leaves the box and is followed by the Mother of Evil.
    When Cooper re-enters the Mauve Room, just after Naido has fallen into space we see a woman with a watch which says: 2:52, Saturday 1 when Cooper. The woman in the Mauve room urges Cooper to leave as her ‘mother is coming’ - this is a reference to the Mother of Evil, who appeared in the Box in New York.
    Cooper leaves through an electrical outlet, with a *different number* to the one he saw when Naido was in the room. This is the point at which Cooper is tricked.
    Cooper’s arrival causes DoppleCoop to crash and vomit. The police arrest DoopleCoop, and their paperwork shows that the arrest took place on 22 September. Assuming that DoopleCoop’s crash happens at the same time to Cooper re-enters the ‘real world’, that would mean that Cooper has travelled back in time 9 days.
    Soon after Cooper has arrived in Las Vegas, Mike tells him he’s been tricked and he needs to wake up. Between 22 September and 1 October, attempts are made to kill DougieCoop, but Mike sends him prompts that keep him safe.
    On 1 October Truman, Hawk, Andy and Bobbie find Naido near Jack Rabbit’s palace. This is where they were supposed to find Cooper.
    My guess is that DougieCoop sticks his fork into the power socket shortly before 1 October.
    Cooper’s encounter with the Fireman (which we see at the beginning of Part 1), happens *after* DougieCoop has stuck his fork into the plug socket and become Cooper again. My evidence for this is that Cooper has his FBI badge on in the Waiting Room and in the Mauve Room; its only after he leaves the Mauve Room and becomes DougieCoop that he loses his badge. Notably, his badge is missing when he meets the Fireman in Episode 1, indicating that the meeting is after he has become Dougie; Cooper's ability to speak coherently, coupled with the absence of the FBI Pin, indicates that the encounter takes place and after he has left the Mauve Room and after he has ‘awoken’ from his Dougie state.
    Audrey’s first scene takes place on the evening of a new moon. Notably, there was a new moon on Saturday 1 October 2016, which indicates that we first see Audrey on the evening of the day when Naido arrives in Twin Peaks.
    In essence, the Cooper/DougieCoop story line in Parts 1-15 unfold in time as experienced by Cooper, the first event being his meeting with the Fireman, then leaving the waiting room, entering the box in New York, the Mauve Room, and then the adventures of Dougie.

    I know this is super late, but does anybody else think that "Billy" is the drunk in Twin Peaks jail? When the story is being told (by Megan) of the last time Billy was seen, he was bleeding from his mouth and the drunk in the jail is obviously bleeding from the mouth. Just a thought and I'm sure it's been mentioned before but this is an idea.

      Which cell is "Billy" in? Chad appears to be looking at him in the opposite row. But one scene with Naido appears to show all the cells on her side to be empty and we'll lit. I've seen speculation that only Chad can see and hear Billy.

    • @vegangurly
      @vegangurly 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the drug that is becoming popular in Twin Peaks is afflictinf a lot of people. The guy in the cell and Billy are two different people experiencing the same side effects from the drug. Billy was already shown interacting with Andy and looked nothing like the guy in the cell.

    In ZZ Top's video for Gimme All Your Lovin' the band members appear and disappear in a somewhat similar fashion to how we see the woodsmen show up in the previous episodes. The video is set in a gas station that reminds me a little of the convenience store and they also appear on a desert road in a way that reminded me of episode 8 flashback where the couple is dodging the woodsman in the middle of the night. Could be an inspiration of Lynch or just a coincidence but a nice detail nonetheless!

    What a hilarious tribute to Todd "MacLaghlan"! This cracked me up, you guys! The only thing I would argue here regarding Bad Coop is that I believe he was present in the Bowie scene, since he first appeared in FWWM on tape in the corridor when Jeffries comes into the FBI offices while Dale is in the other room looking at the screen. Also the fact that Dale records this might lead us to believe he knew he would become "double". As I explained on my modest video channel today, I tend to believe that Bad and Good Cooper share this memory because they were both there. I am not sure though if Tanned Coop remembers his own granny as much as Dale would. He might not have access to pre-dated memory archives. But hey, wtf knows! 🌲🌲

    One observation: the shot of the Log Lady cabin's light fading away after she dies, is exactly like the one of Yoda's death in "The Return Of The Jedi", a film wich by the way Lynch was offered and refused to direct. I also find very tender the fact that this episode was dedicated to Margaret, so the Catherine was double honored (one for herself on episode one or two and one for her caracter). Thanks from Spain!

    Finally finished my rewatch of season (1 and) 2 last night (it had been 25 years since I last watched them). Did give me some more things to think about. Some related to season 3, others (probably) not:
    - Had completely forgotten about the scene where Sarah Palmer has a message for Major Briggs and 'channels' someone who says: "I'm in the black lodge with Dale Cooper. I’m waiting for you". Sure makes the fact that Sarah is possessed less surprising. It never becomes clear (to me) who she is channeling. I read some blogs that said it was Windom Earle, but I don't see clear evidence of that. Could also be the Giant??
    - Windom Earle (and Annie) is talking backwards in the red room - does that mean he's already dead by then? If so, why is his soul taken by Bob only later (and how does Annie end up alive outside of the red room with doppelgänger Coop). And how come Bob gets to take his soul and not one of the other spirits. Also, is Bob interested in souls instead of Garmonbozia? Doppelgänger Coop shows up just after Windom Earle’s soul is taken by Bob: is a soul needed to create a doppelgänger?
    - I had always assumed the red room is (part of) the black lodge. But in the final episode of season two the MFAP/arm calls it the waiting room. More importantly, the Giant also shows up there. If the Giant is a White Lodge spirit, what would he be doing in the Black Lodge? (and why wouldn’t the evil spirits be attacking him?) [this also links in with a question I had about the end of FWWM where we see an angel appear to Laura Palmer: if she’s in the Black Lodge, how can an angel be there?]. As mentioned above, the person/entity channeled by Sarah Palmer calls it the Black Lodge, but if this is indeed Windom Earle talking, could he be mistaken in thinking he already made it to the Black Lodge when he’s actually in a sort of limbo place?
    - This reflects back to an assumption I have had so far during season 3: I always assumed the black and white scenes (at least the ones with the Giant in it) represented the White Lodge. But this place actually looks nothing like the description of the White Lodge given by Windom Earle who talks of spirits and animals living in harmony. Also, in se02ep20 there’s a shot of Major Briggs sitting on a (thrown-like) seat in the midst of the woods or jungle that is often interpreted as showing the White Lodge: again, no comparison with the rooms in the season 3 black and white scenes. Has the White Lodge changed? Are the black and white scenes actually showing the waiting room for the White Lodge?
    - The Giant states “One and the same”. What bothered me about this scene 25 years back is that he says it just after the old, somewhat senile waiter from the Great Northern Hotel has shown up, handed Dale a cup of coffee and disappeared again (note how the waiter also makes a similar sound (hand to mouth Indian whooping sound) as the MFAP does in FWWM). But the Giant is also sitting next to the MFAP/arm when he says this: is he referring to him being one and the same as the old waiter or that he’s actually one and the same as the MFAP? (Or is he referring to something else entirely?). If the former was the case (Giant = MFAP) then was the Giant actually not a spirit with the best of intentions? I was particularly bothered 25 years ago, because the owl cave petroglyph showed the Giant and the midget right next to each other.
    It seems season 3 now has pretty much given an answer here and the Giant seems to genuinely be a Good Spirit. Does bring me back to the question, though, what he was doing in the red room (if that’s supposed to be (part of) the Black Lodge.
    - As far as I can remember, I hadn’t given too much thought 25 years ago about the switches between Caroline and Annie. The whole doppelgänger theme didn’t hit me until the final scene and I never thought back on it: so I also never put two and two together on it actually being Leland’s double that we’re probably seeing and not Leland himself. Is Annie a doppelgänger for Caroline (on rewatching the final episode of season 2, I now get that impression)? How come she doesn’t look like Caroline then?

    Here's my take on this: and I think it pieces the material together as well as anything else.
    Briggs, Judy, Diane, and Jeffries are working together. Jeffries is, and given what we know, he *must be*, a double-agent. He was working with Briggs and Mr. C. and this leads to the various mysterious conversations between Mr. C. and Jeffries that reference Briggs and Judy (another possibility being that Jeffries has a doppleganger, but none of this materially changes the basic structure of the outline I'm giving here). Unless Judy is a character with whom we are unfamiliar, the best guesses are Briggs, Diane or Naido or someone closely associated with those characters. Note that none of these possibilities changes the basic structure of my theory.
    Evidence: Briggs knew about 2:53. Mr. C. probably got this info indirectly from Briggs via. Phillip Jeffries and manufactured Dougie to sabotage the plan. Naido probably ends up where Cooper was supposed to be.
    Evidence: Janey-E is not stupid, certainly not stupid enough not to notice that Dougie has spent the last 3 days or so merely parroting what she is saying. Janey-E is also Diane's sister, and Diane knows what's going on in Vegas and has a link to Mr. C. That link can only be Jeffries. We must, *must* conclude that Jeffries while working with Cooper is also working with Briggs and Diane.
    Jeffries' agenda remains something of a mystery, but I can take a stab at it. What probably happened is that Briggs/Jeffries got wind of what Mr. C was up to in Vegas, prompting Jeffries to con Mr. C into thinking he was on his side, in the process gathering info about Vegas that he relayed to Diane/Judy. This sort of work leads to being compromised, hence Jeffries' mystery, but there is consistency here. We know that Jeffries is working against Mr. C because of what was going on with Ray.
    Working on this information, Diane and her sister, working with Briggs and the White Lodge, set up a counter-operation to ensure that Dougie is taken care of upon returning. This is the only way to interpret Dougie's ring being in the body of Briggs. Janey-E might not be manufactured, but she is without question working with Judy/Diane and fully understands (as well as anyone) what she is doing.
    The question that remains is why Diane withholds so much information from Albert and Cole. It is possible that there is a third agenda operating here, that Diane is afraid of what will happen to Janey-E or that Diane doesn't trust someone in the group (i.e. Tammy).
    What makes most sense is that Judy is a code name for Diane, and that she was merely posing as a lower-level secretary. That would also be the best explanation for Jeffries' cryptic comment to Mr. C; "You know Judy".

    Isnt that "woodsman" with the electric jukebox actually an Electrician?
    Also, for Sara's face superimposed on the Jumping Man, if you watch the Second Season Finale, Laura Doppleganger, when she is closer to Cooper, her face gets superimposed quickly with the negative of Windom Earle, with the same expression that he sees a bit later in the other Red Room where he appears with Annie and Caroline
    Also, speaking of Sara's face on the Jumping man, this is where the boy (or a woodsman on the left) said Animal Life and Sara was watching animal documentary. The boy takes off the mask to show a monkey's face.
    Bad Cooper is the shadow self of the Good cooper, as hawk described it Dweller on the Threshold, formed in the Black Lodge, which is the shadow self of the White Lodge..
    This is why he has memories of good coop, because he is made of them. Another term is Lurker at the Threshold. (Check Wikipedia on it)
    Finally, "Threshold" is a word Charlie says to Audrey, for describing where they are

    Has anyone noticed that 315 seems to be a reoccurring number? 315 is the key to Coopers old room, in episode 3 he saw two outlets, outlet 3, and he escaped from outlet 15 (we get 315 again), in episode 15 he stabs the outlet after hearing Gordon coles name. So he ENTERED the world by an outlet in episode 3, and "left"(maybe?) in episode 15 by an outlet. Could be a little far fetched but I think this is beyond a coincidence. I also think maybe he'll be with the Fireman again and he'll say like "you forgot your shoes" and it'll help complete Cooper.

    • @jjjtccc
      @jjjtccc 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's right. Others have made that observation, too, and I think it's very likely all relevant, not just coincidence (even the episode numbers). I think he did wake up in part 15 and we'll see that in part 16. He might have died, but I think that's unlikely. PJG productions gave a scientific explanation in a recent YT video for why it's very unlikely that the shock killed Cooper. If the living room was flooded (say from a flash flood that leaked into the house) when he put his fork into the socket that would be another story, but the fact that he and his environment were dry makes it very unlikely he was badly hurt, IMO.

    • @RhombiClan
      @RhombiClan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jim Cochrane thank you for the reply. I didn't know that about the science behind it! Makes me even more confident that we got Cooper back. I remember the actor playing The Fireman said he's only in 4 scenes but they're all extremely important. So it wouldn't surprise me if his last one was him and Cooper as they were in the beginning of the show. (Watch david lynch pull some shit like that first scene actually takes place in episode 18 and we see it again, like we see the end in the beginning)

      francis n I don't see the connection between episode numbers and the number on the keyring/room other than them being numbers.
      How does episode 3 or 15 mean anything to the character Dougie/Cooper?
      The characters have no concept of episode numbers.
      The number 3 and 15 on the power outlets have similarities to the keyring/room number though but why 3 and 15 and not 31 and 5?
      It is either a red herring or a mere coincidence. I'd lean towards it being a red herring.

    • @jjjtccc
      @jjjtccc 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jack (the) Ripper: I disagree with you - because numbers have become very important in TPtR; and the part 3 and 15 theory is sort of at a "meta" level - that is, going beyond the actual world of Twin Peaks (or, perhaps said in another way, it breaches the "fourth wall"). IMO, this 4th-wall breach has been implied in other episodes of TPtR. I think a likely example of that is Cole's dream about Monica Bellucci (a real, living person), in which she says: "But who is the dreamer?". I think there has been so much emphasis on numbers that it is unwise (from the POV of trying to understand TPtR) to completely disregard apparent coincidences with respect to episode (or part) numbers. This is, of course, IMO.

    • @JackRipper8881
      @JackRipper8881 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jim Cochrane But there are real world references throughout Twin Peaks with actual historical events, locations and people interwoven into the storyline without breaching the 4th wall.
      Monica Bellucci is not breaching the 4th wall no more than having the Nine Inch Nails play the Roadhouse.
      Having an episode number have any significance to the characters doesn't make sense.
      The characters are not meant to be breaching the 4th wall, this is meant to reflect real life with real people and real events.
      We are not about to see Gordon Cole turn to the camera and wink at us or have Albert say:
      "Diane, What were you going to tell Gordon about that night you spent with Cooper back in episode 6?"
      "Fuck you Albert, it was episode 7 and it's none of your business!"
      If anything the connection between number 3 and 15 of episode 3 and 15 and the power outlets/room number 3 and 15/315 are mere Easter eggs by Lynch and Frost.
      How would you explain 430 and 253 with regards episode numbers.

      I figured the black corn was either symbolic of garmonbozia or represented a new, even darker version of garmonbozia, as if it were like the pinnacle of human suffering. I also figured there was some kind of sickness in Twin Peaks, but that may be due to the increased presence of evil spirits in the town. Like they said in the video, it may be possible that all the evil lodge spirits are trying to reconvene on mother AKA Sarah Palmer and are thus being drawn to Twin Peaks and causing chaos

    • @justyclit
      @justyclit 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      How about the idea that the drug Balthazar Getty is pushing (for Mr. C/Bob) is causing this outbreak of 'pain and suffering' across Twin Peaks. Cooper/Bob, retaining some of Cooper's intelligence and planning but desiring souls and Garmonbozia like Bob, decides to mass produce Garmonbozia as a byproduct of a new drug to feed off of rather than getting it one vessel/victim at a time. We've seen several accounts of strung out characters in some sort of physical pain or mental anguish--and we know from past Twin Peaks, and real life, that kids in highschool and earlier find their way to drugs. Now the whole town's agony fuels Bob/Mr. C and helps him do things like create a Tulpa (Dougie) and avoid being drawn back into the lodge.
      Although, IAmDaDumb1's theory below seems equally as sound, but, as her/his name specifies, she or he is dumb. Can we trust that?

    Dale Cooper went into the lodge but faced his shadow (Mr C) with imperfect courage like Hawk warned people not to do and also sold his soul to Bob, in return for Annie's life, also he faced his own annihilation. His shadow went into the world, his other side stayed in the lodge for 25 years and a tulpa of himself got created - Dougie. This shows Cooper's split sides since he entered the lodge, he needed to integrate himself again. Why electricity helped I'm not sure, but the brain relies on electrical charges. Twin peaks is a multilayered story with layers of dreams. A good mystery.

The scene where that golden light bubble turned into a golden pearl and then is being picked up by Mike I think. My first thought on this was this being Coopers good part, which is apparently missing, since Dougie seems to be kind of an empty shell, and that it returned, perhaps because the right body for it wasn't there. Not sure about this, but I think this little golden pearl is important for restoring Cooper.

    You referred to the Audrey scene as Mamat-esque, but for me it very strongly evoked Albee's "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf", which was made into a movie in 1966, directed by Mike Nichols with Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton. Not sure if there's a real reference there, but Audrey's characterization and appearance strikingly similar. If that is in fact the reference it's reasonable to expect a big surprise from Charlie. I also noticed that the salt & pepper shakers on Dougies table resemble the weird bell (Die Glocke?)/teapot/electrical machines that we've seen multiple times. And Dougie touches one of them right before he's inspired to stick his fork in the electrical socket, so.... yeah. Just sayin.

    David Lynch has quoted about Sunset Boulevard - "Sunset Boulevard just has the greatest mood; you’re immersed in it like a dream". I haven't seen the film, but researching the plot line made me think of Audrey. It's about a fading filmstar who wants to return to glory and therefore hires a screenwriter to doctor a script she has written. Is this Charlie's "contract" with Audrey? This could also tie in with the coma theories.

And then they show Mike a different one and he agrees that it's him. But the man in the first sketch bears a striking resemblance to Charlie in Twin Peaks: The Return.

    I miss the two of you and Sunday night Twin Peaks in general. You two and Wow Lynch Wow were my favorite podcasts/TH-cam videographers regarding Twin Peaks. I take Twin Peaks very seriously and regard it as one of the most personal experiences I’ve ever had in any form of art and don’t like speaking about it as too many people think their answer is the only answer. No! No! No! We all have our ideas and they’re all valid. I appreciate your candidness and whatnot. I will even forgive you for pronouncing ‘garmonbozia’ the way you do. I recall The Arm enunciating it gar (car) mon (bun) bo (bow and arrow) zi (see) a (a) in Fire Walk With Me. The much more cavalier way in which the two of you pronounce it was probably a hell of a lot more difficult to say backwards. That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it!!! 🤣😜🤣
    Love you guys! I’ll see you in the trees!
    PS: Oh, and your insistence on calling Cooper/Coop/Special Agent Dale Cooper simply ‘Dale’. I’m pretty sure no one calls him that on the show nor have I heard people call him ‘Dale’ when discussing Twin Peaks as if it is some sort of television series! Pshaw!

    Re the golden shovel in Nadine's hands when she talks to Ed in the opening scene: in season two when Nadine is breaking up with Ed and Dr. Jacoby is there to try and make Nadine see the seriousness of the situation, Nadine uses the phrase: "We have to call a spade a spade"

      Was expecting her to smack Ed around the head with the shovel there for a while.

    The double-header wouldn't include Warden Murphy. Mr. C told Hutch to take him out first and *then* the double-header in Las Vegas. My guess is they're going for the family Jones next.

    Mark Frost's character Cyril Ponds was in one episode of the original series. In-joke: Bowie's character was turned into a Tin Machine.

    I really don't like the coma theory either, so I'm thinking maybe Charlie was hired by evil Coop to keep Audrey under hypnosis and every time she wants to leave, he tells her a "story" which renders her frightened to leave. But in the last episode, she finally gets tired of Charlie's crap and chokes him out. Plus, even though it seems like Audrey has been there forever, they've probably only argued about going to the roadhouse for like half an hour lol.

    I was a bit confused with the jeffries meeting above the convenience store,so are jeffries and evil coop working together or against each other? It seemed like an easy conversation between the two with no violence, and if they are against each other whos side are the woodsmen on as they brought coop back from death but allow jeffries to hangout above the convenience store.

      It's more complicated and less black and white than that. We don't know (We're not supposed to know) who is on whose side. Even Coopelganger doesn't know if Jeffries is an ally, an enemy, or neutral, or something else. Jeffries might know where he stands (Coopelganger's enemy, trying to trick him; his reluctant ally; or on and on with possibilities), but we're not allowed to know that - i.e., we have to figure it out for ourselves, or just give up and enjoy the show and the weirdness. That's how a David Lynch production (even when, perhaps, tempered by a Mark Frost) works!

    The lady who unlocks the door appears to be the same actress who's receptionist at the lodge in the pilot when Leland gets word of Laura's death.

    I've just seen Part 16 and, after the last scene, wondered: what if the hum in Ben's office is Audrey trying to communicate with him from the white/black lodge?

      I thought the same thing. at least about the communication part. I was entertaining the notion she pulled a Josie and ended up in the wood somehow.

    dougie(cooper) gets zapped to twin peaks where Naido appeared for the next date on Garland's note. Janey-E said herself, "it's like our dreams have come true" as in DougieCoop has finished helping janey-e and sonny jim
    edit: maybe not 'helping' but more compensating for the real Dougie's loss
