I'm glad Ekko finally got to say goodbye to Benzo. The man was pretty much his father and he never got the chance to let him know how important he was to him.

It also seems politically Zaun and Piltover have become peaceful, given that Silco and Vander are on good terms as well. The bridge incident still happened in this timeline since they spoke about it right before the dance scene.
This part broke me it’s legit worse to be in Ekko’s shoes than Jayce. At least Jayce comes back to a better place. Ekko is damaged for ever 😭 He’s lost a chance to live in a better place, lost his love and his buddy Hemerdinger because his Zaun and Firelight buddies needed him.
I kinda wish we got to see Ekko talk Jinx down alittle bit longer. Cause we don't really get to see how Ekko got her out of the depressive state or what they said to each other. We just needed alittle bit more time. 😭
Its hinted that this Powder was clever enough to realize that her Ekko is not the current Ekko in ep7. Jinx notices the device that Powder and Ekko made, and notices the bears and other trademark things she places on her inventions. This is accompanied by him predicting how she was going to… you know. Powder and Jinx catching on to this quick is a great detail
she saw the monkeys. she realized ekko went through something where a better version of her existed, and was currently saving her life. then she didn't give up on herself.

(Locking her up to prevent her sacrificing more for her) She looked so tired in her entrance. She still wasn't ok, but she did become focused when she realized others needed her help. I’ve seen the creators said they talked a lot and he even told her about the other universe and that is what probably give her hope. She even has his symbol on his tummy and he has hers on his outfit. They probably rekindled their friendship.
She is, it implied in the final scene of the last episode. Cait checked the structure of the tower and found out that in the point of the explosion there was the ventilation sistem where she could have escaped, thets why Cait smiled.
The sad part about this alternative future is that it has its own costs. Powder is fine. Mylo, Claggor, Benzo, and Vander are alive and well. Even Vander and Silco managed to make amends. But at the cost of Vi's life. Not only that but since Hextech was never invented, it's likely Jayce was either banished from the city or killed himself like he nearly attempted in episode 2. Also, Viktor's sickness would've probably already killed him by that point.
It's also interesting how Mylo and Clagger are actually very clever, they're inventors! All those kids very trying to be like Vi, who was a fighter, and never discovered they're own strong sides. Vi was a good girl, but she was a real jinx

They are singing about loving each other but having to go to war against each other basically. They say that the other person is the worst thing that happened to them but also the best. The waitress appeared at 0:36 was one of the soldier that VI carried to safety in the finale ep, but ended up dying from her injury, all the which makes it even more depressing tbh

So basically: Powder found the crystals, and it exploded, just like it did in episode 1. The difference is, Vi got caught in the explosion and died, which totally removes the chase scene from existence. Powder, claggor, and milo managed to get home safely. Next butterfly effect is Jayce. Because of his attempt at creating the crystal for Hextech, Vi dies. So off-screen, Chief Enforcer, commander Grayson is able to arrest Jayce with full evidence that his invention is deemed too dangerous because of Vi's death. This led to complete confiscation with Jayce being unable to prove his works. Therefore, Hextech was never founded. There is no "Man of Tommorow," so the undercity is able to make its own inventions. Since the crystals were confiscated from the start, there was no need for conflict in search for them. So, Piltover and Zaun managed to unite. From the unity, Powder has no need to continue fighting against all odds because they never existed. She mellowed down from Vi's death, and that's why this universe can exist.
The implication at the start of this episode that this universes Ekko has jinxes mental issues probably tied to blaming himself for Vi’s death is really sad
Holy shit, this is an incredible observation/theory. That could explain why Powder and the others didn't immediately see his behavior as being too weird at first. Ekko must've felt that he was directly responsible for Vi's death for years, and he was so young at that. That would seriously mess up anybody's mental state as they grow up. :(

The original commenter was stating that everyone around him was probably used to him being a little off balance in the head hence why they didn’t think his strange behavior was too weird.

We never saw Ekko reunite with Vi. We don't know what Jinx and Ekko talked about after he saved her from suicide. I think it's very possible that they decided to leave together. Maybe he never revealed himself on purpose. Everyone already thought Ekko was dead/gone, so if Jinx could fake her death they could leave and 'break the cycle.' Also, in the scene where Ekko saves Jinx, the song switch to something more hopeful in the background: I'm not ready to face it Don't go saying goodbye There's a beauty in changes And I wanna try Maybe I'm grasping at straws a little, it would also make sense thematically for Ekko to be alone to show his grief and the song lyrics could refer to Jinx alone just easily as the two of them together. But I hope my hunch is correct.

This scene made me so emotional even though there really isn’t anything sad in the scenes. Made me think of all the what could’ve beens… not just in Arcane, but life in general. It’s fascinating to think that one single decision can change the entire trajectory of our lives.. but it’s kinda sad at the same time.

Everyone saying Jinx is gone… 1) Ekko burned one paper, for Heim. 2) We see a pink flash dart away from the explosion before it completely goes off. 3) Cait smiles looking at the plans for the hexgates, seeing the air ducts and cooling systems and seeing how she could have escaped while holding her scorched monkey head from her grenade… 4) And at the end we see in Jinx’s iconic writing “the end,” with someone flying off in the same kind of air ship Powder says she will fly in one day.

But then also I’ve read that Yordles can in fact die, they just don’t age(like Night elves in WoW before Nordrissil was destroyed). So if everyone knows they’re immortal, maybe he burnt one for Jinx. But if that’s not true and everyone would know they only don’t age, then he clearly burnt just the one for Heimerdinger and knows Jinx escaped or refuses to believe she died, since they didn’t find her body.
Seeing Ekko be happy and fall in love and dance was so beautifully done. You could really feel how happy he was in this universe, knowing he'll still make the decision to part with it 😢
I kinda love the ending. It wasnt a happy ending, but it was an ending necessary to obtain peace. Ecko would never forget the things Jinx have done, but now he can love and mourn her in peace. And he also have this memory, all the things that could have been.
And it works! They could have extended the scene where they talk about helping the others and start making the base mobile, but they didn't. She didn't need more convincing, no goal. Just that he still thought she was worth fighting for. I want her to come back after she clears her head a bit to rebuild their lives. They deserve a chance!

Maaaajor props to Jinx/Powder’s VA, it’s amazing how she manages to capture the range of both Powder and Jinx. Like you can HEAR that this isn’t Jinx, it’s crazy!
This series has to be the best animated show i have seen in the last decade. And this romance + kiss scene made that episode unforgettable. Had the grown man in me giggling and kicking my feet LMFAO. Superb song choice for the dance scene as well. Jinx is still alive. We all saw that shimmer when that explosion happened, plus Cait smirking after locationg that air vent in the tower. Not to mention, I remember her saying she wanted to fly on a airship a while back- and what do you know, we get that airship flying off into the distance as the last scene before the credits. Jinx took the advice and disappeared just like she wanted to, breaking the cycle. I just wish we get to see Ekko and Jinx and have their relationship develop in whatever sequel is planned. I just need more of those two LOL
The fact that i had a crush on Jinx, but fell in love with Powder. They really made it so frustrating how everything could have turned out for the better.
In that world everything is perfect the two cities are not enemies everyone is in harmony and silco is a friend of vender it is a perfect world that perfect one The children all together dressed up like little gentlemen and milords is perfect
The only down sides in this AU: - Vi is dead - CaitVi definitely isn’t a thing - And who knows what happened to Viktor and Jayce, since Jayce’s trial might have gone differently

When Powder and Ekko were dancing that was heart-breaking especially after knowing the fact that it was played exactly 4 frames per second, that's exactly the amount of times Ekko can rewind, symbolizing how he wanted to live in that moment forever despite wanting to leave to save his own universe. Also, Heimerdinger telling him to enjoy every second in that universe 😢

Everyday there's something new I learn about this masterpiece! I just commented a moment ago that Powder's "genius and maddness" wiggling peace sign also shows up in S1E7 during the fight scene; when they show thier duel as kids, Powder does the same thing when they're about to start up
I like how in the beginning of episode 7 he got weirded out by the ear rings he was wearing but after returning to his time line he ended up getting ones as well, shows he did develop and change from the year he spent there, and riot please I need him and jinx to be together he can fix her 😭🙏

I think it’s a relationship born of contradiction, functioning as a way for them to escape themselves.

The sad part about this alternative future is that it has its own costs. Powder is fine. Mylo, Claggor, Benzo, and Vander are alive and well. Even Vander and Silco managed to make amends.
But at the cost of Vi's life. Not only that but since Hextech was never invented, it's likely Jayce was either banished from the city or killed himself like he nearly attempted in episode 2. Also, Viktor's sickness would've probably already killed him by that point.

It wasn´t about Vi alive it was about Hextech invention and Powder never using her ultrabomb
So basically:
Powder found the crystals, and it exploded, just like it did in episode 1.
The difference is, Vi got caught in the explosion and died, which totally removes the chase scene from existence. Powder, claggor, and milo managed to get home safely.
Next butterfly effect is Jayce. Because of his attempt at creating the crystal for Hextech, Vi dies. So off-screen, Chief Enforcer, commander Grayson is able to arrest Jayce with full evidence that his invention is deemed too dangerous because of Vi's death.
This led to complete confiscation with Jayce being unable to prove his works. Therefore, Hextech was never founded. There is no "Man of Tommorow," so the undercity is able to make its own inventions.
Since the crystals were confiscated from the start, there was no need for conflict in search for them. So, Piltover and Zaun managed to unite.
From the unity, Powder has no need to continue fighting against all odds because they never existed. She mellowed down from Vi's death, and that's why this universe can exist.
The implication at the start of this episode that this universes Ekko has jinxes mental issues probably tied to blaming himself for Vi’s death is really sad

Holy shit, this is an incredible observation/theory. That could explain why Powder and the others didn't immediately see his behavior as being too weird at first. Ekko must've felt that he was directly responsible for Vi's death for years, and he was so young at that. That would seriously mess up anybody's mental state as they grow up. :(

@@sangamchauhan3564 I think there could be some evidence for this. At the end when we see the burning of the slips of paper, Ekko is sitting alone instead of being with everyone else. We never saw Ekko reunite with Vi. We don't know what Jinx and Ekko talked about after he saved her from suicide. I think it's very possible that they decided to leave together. Maybe he never revealed himself on purpose. Everyone already thought Ekko was dead/gone, so if Jinx could fake her death they could leave and 'break the cycle.'
Also, in the scene where Ekko saves Jinx, the song switch to something more hopeful in the background:

Maybe I'm grasping at straws a little, it would also make sense thematically for Ekko to be alone to show his grief and the song lyrics could refer to Jinx alone just easily as the two of them together. But I hope my hunch is correct.

Season 2 Episode 7 is probably my favorite episode of the entire series. These scenes are why.
Everyone saying Jinx is gone…
1) Ekko burned one paper, for Heim.
2) We see a pink flash dart away from the explosion before it completely goes off.
3) Cait smiles looking at the plans for the hexgates, seeing the air ducts and cooling systems and seeing how she could have escaped while holding her scorched monkey head from her grenade…
4) And at the end we see in Jinx’s iconic writing “the end,” with someone flying off in the same kind of air ship Powder says she will fly in one day.
I also think that Jinx is alive, but maybe Ekko doesn't know and burned that paper in her honor

I kinda love the ending. It wasnt a happy ending, but it was an ending necessary to obtain peace. Ecko would never forget the things Jinx have done, but now he can love and mourn her in peace. And he also have this memory, all the things that could have been.
Also, it was an ending, not an end. So many things not concluded yet
I love how when Ekko returns, he basically admits to Jinx that he loves her and is here for her.
And it works! They could have extended the scene where they talk about helping the others and start making the base mobile, but they didn't. She didn't need more convincing, no goal. Just that he still thought she was worth fighting for.
I want her to come back after she clears her head a bit to rebuild their lives. They deserve a chance!

This series has to be the best animated show i have seen in the last decade. And this romance + kiss scene made that episode unforgettable. Had the grown man in me giggling and kicking my feet LMFAO. Superb song choice for the dance scene as well. Jinx is still alive. We all saw that shimmer when that explosion happened, plus Cait smirking after locationg that air vent in the tower. Not to mention, I remember her saying she wanted to fly on a airship a while back- and what do you know, we get that airship flying off into the distance as the last scene before the credits. Jinx took the advice and disappeared just like she wanted to, breaking the cycle. I just wish we get to see Ekko and Jinx and have their relationship develop in whatever sequel is planned. I just need more of those two LOL
The fact that i had a crush on Jinx, but fell in love with Powder. They really made it so frustrating how everything could have turned out for the better.

Jinx/Powder And Ekko is a duo in each universe they appear whenever they end up as enemies, friends or even lovers.
This gave me so much joy. I feared that if Ekko leaves it would also erase Ekko from that timeline. I did not cry at my fathers funeral earlier this year but i did cry for these 3 last episodes.

They have a moment of realization, a moment where they are happy, they love each other; however, as quickly as it forms, it extinguishes. The sex scene between them, for me, represents the same instability as always-they are unable to solidify the relationship they idealize. Not to mention, I found it strange that they would have sex in the cell where your sister has been suffering from Isha's death, a moment that happens after she literally told you in a fairly direct tone that she wanted to kill herself. I think it’s a relationship born of contradiction, functioning as a way for them to escape themselves.
