Ddu du ddu du was the most anticipated comeback song from BLACKPINK in 2018 cause they did not release a single song and were in hiatus for more than a year. They have been performing their old songs only with fewer songs like whistle, pwf, aiiyl before DDDD a LOT of times in award shows. DDDD was a blowup ngl.

Good reaction. It is more of a warrior girl concept than a girl crush concept. The whole music video and song is one big FU to all their haters and they have many. DDu Du Ddu Du is the sound of shots being fired, they are literally gunning down their haters in the chorus. They are breaking out weapons of war against their haters throughout the mv (the tank, the sword, their finger guns, etc.). They are talking all sorts of smack to their haters (e.g., "whatever you say doesn't faze me", "I bought your whole bucket list" as the tank is seen crushing the shopping bags, so not just buying their hater's bucket list but then promptly crushing it in front of them). You may not be aware, but numerous Kpop Idols have been driven to suicide by hateful social media attacks. Ergo, the Jisoo falling scene. First, all the men are fixated on the perfect image of Celebrity Jisoo on the wall with their camera phones. They could care less about the real Jisoo standing right there next to them, until she tripped (signifying some type of social mishap or judgement error). Now the men are enraged to see that their perfect image of her is shattered by some flaws. Now the men turn into masked assassins, to finish her off while she is injured, with their pistol grip camera phones. The smart phone is the weapon of choice by internet trolls and haters to spread hate on social media. The masks symbolize the anonymous nature of troll haters. Nevertheless, Jisoo bravely stands back up, though injured (leg brace), ready to face the tsunami of hatred that she knows is coming but refusing to hide like a scared child. Since debut each of the members have been targeted by vicious attacks on social media. Most notably Lisa, who was the target of racist threats of physical violence so much so that the Thai Embassy in Seoul felt compelled to get involved and demand additional security from YG.
This is my first time ever Blackpink song that I've heard in my life although Whistle is their debut song

It's not a Chinese theme, it's a Korean theme.
