Remembering Selena's impact as the Queen of Tejano Music 29 years after death

Selena Quintanilla, commonly called "the Queen of Tejano Music," died 29 years ago on March 31st, 1995.
However, El Pasoans are still feeling the impact of the late singer's career.
They celebrated the singer on the anniversary of her death, Sunday, at the Selena Forever Exhibit at the El Paso Museum of Art.

I was only two years old when Selena was killed and I didn’t learn about her until I watched her movie in 9th grade Spanish class! Her music is so catchy and I still enjoy listening to it like today when I was doing yard work! I’m also a white girl, but Selena inspires me to have more respect for the Latino communities! RIP Selena Quintanilla-Perez (1971-1995) 💃🏻💜
