Much better after the muffler mod! I prefer to keep as much of my $$ as practically possible in the USA. But as you said, that's practically impossible in many cases.
A lot of saws hot restart better if you put the saw back on fast idle. I modified a muffler recently that had that same catalyzer plate. I removed the screen and reinstalled the plate. My reason was that one of my poulan chainsaws had a muffler that the front was caved in somewhat. I replaceed the muffler with a new one with the exact same muffler mod. The saw ran slower with the new muffler without the caved in front. That led me to believe that sonic resonance plays a part even in a can muffler. Long way of asking if you get another saw with that arrangement I would be interested in a comparison of the plate installed without the screen vs no plate.
So this is a saw (55.5 cc) that is about the same size as your Jonsered CS-2156 (56 cc). Neither are 60 cc chainsaws, even though you kept comparing the 56 cc Jonsered to a 61 cc Makita chainsaw a few days ago. At least they're all red! I wish Jonsered, Makita, & real Solo chainsaws were still made.
Man, listen... I don't know how I can explain it further... the 357xp and 359 were the 60cc chassis that they used at that time. That chassis took the place of the old 262xp. Nothing is actually 60cc. They are all slightly above or below 60cc. The 357xp was Husqvarna's premium 60cc chainsaw of that time. It is a 60cc class saw. Understand?
That is one great saw, two ring piston, closed transfer port, walbro carburetor, strong clutch etc... Would be nice see after full port work how well it pull.
Miller High Life is made in Merica. Lots of it passes thru me . Hahahah. Just yanking your chain. Seriously, everyone says buy 🇺🇸 made. Look up a Filson coat, can't afford it.
With Steri-Strips and super glue, who needs chaps.
"Assembled in the USA from foreign and domestic components"
"Printed in the USA"
You’re supposed to look like a hockey goalie while running a chainsaw, don’t you know. Instead you look like a dad in front a loud bbq pit. 😂

Yeah. About the only things that are practical are consumables. Food, toothpaste, toilet paper, stuff like that.

That cat you pulled from the muffler looked exactly like a Dolmar style Cat plate. Interesting
Ive seen you use it often, but what tachometer do you use?
Tractor supply has them online the prorun version for $349.90 USD🙀 $750AUD for me tho🤦♂️

I wonder how it stacks up against the Proyama?

Boedy how would you rate the Proyama saw against the Solo/Prorun saw for quality etc?
So a 395xp or 3120xp wouldn’t be considered a pro saw because it doesn’t have a “double sided brake” by some people??? Lol 😆
