In exams (i appeared in uk), we have to find the correct gmt from chronometer time, ships time and longitude.. in practice, can we straightaway take the utc date and time from gps reciever??
Yes sir. There is no need for chronometer time calculation in these modern times. The GPS is giving us the accurate GMT. Still, in exams, we have to calculate it to show that we know the basics. Regards ♥️

Sir, if you know the gyro and magnetic course, and you take gyro bearing, the magnetic bearing will be the difference between gyro amd magnetic substituted with the gyro bearing. Eg: Heading of ship 234 (Gyro) 236 (Magn) Now, bearing of a body 010 (Gyro) Then the magnetic bearing will be 012 (Magn) Because, the gyro is 2 lower than the magnetic. Anything from position fix to bearing will require error to be applied. All things on a chart is true bearing. Hence, error needs to be applied. I'm already applying it in every calculation, even if I'm not showing it individually. Regards ♥️

how did you input or preset the letters A,B,C on your calculator, and then I see you mix letter A with LAT ??

Sir how did u get the sun's magnetic bearing? I understood that the magnetic course is 359.5 deg. as to what u have shown.
