I feel Wahl and Andis have the best cutting blades. Gamma is a good product but their blades don’t cut as clean or blurry. Gamma and StyleCraft use blades that is thinner and cheaper material to give them the long battery life. I’ve changed the blade on gamma products and the battery life dies tremendously. Just an observation of mine.
Ah to be honest I've used the new gamma I would say the protégé is My favorite it just that they suck in regards to life as in rip life they smoke to easily
Not a lie. I did the same thing to my Ergo when it was working & I think that was the reason the battery stopped charging because I used a wahl wedge blade on it for a few months and the battery started draining and it would take longer to charge
Okay so I was rocking the corded seniors, and 2 cordless magic clips for the longest time and I just copped 2 of these gold versions, and let me tell you something. This is the fastest I have ever cut hair with my best quality I'd say. I'm genuinely impressed but it does make me wonder "how much" better these other brands are like BabyLiss and Gamma/SC, because these Gold Magic Clips impressed the hell outta me. I'm not a licensed barber, but I've been cutting hair since Grade 10 in high school. Oh and funny story, I sent my resume to a local barbershop, and I did include the fact that im not licensed and that I had my doubts and worries because of simple things like, fear of new clients, as in, "Would I be ablee to give them what they want?" type of feeling but, the owner of the shop seemed like they were insisting that I come for an interview anyway in person. Maybe they liked my energy because I told them that, "If the lack of having a license changes anything, I'm willing to simply volunteer and or just sit and watch to learn the flow." Maybe they liked how eager I am? I am a Uni student in the Faculty of Education, Majoring in English and Minoring in Psychology. My dream is to teach English in Japan and maybe own a barbershop one day.
Personally, I did not like the gold blade too much. I felt too much resistance almost as if the blade didn't glide smoothly with no gaurds on. It would snag a bit. However, I paired this clipper with the SC fusion blade and a tomb45 battery and noticed hell of a difference. Highly recommend this setup! Thank you for the content!

And there is a huge problem with all the adjusting brackets wahl makes. After fixing that and changing the blade I think they cut better than the instincts and that's saying a lot. But my hair actually feels different after using them. The crazy thing is I'm pretty sure the problem effects every set of wahl (magic clip style) clippers that's been produced. Another thing i like with the sterling 4 top blade is it has 3 screws. So i can take my blade off to clean it and it will stay at the same gap i had it at. I dunno why they didn't keep going with that. That's a overlooked game changer to me. I honestly feel my magic clips are the best ever lol. Would be sweet if I could get some opinions. But thanks for the review. I like to see how my opinions stack up to professionals. I just cut my own hair and like watching Barber vids. Keep up the good work 👍🏾

You mention a couple of times about you’re clipper getting bogged down , try blowing the shot out of it with some medic spray or clippercide, even some wd40 spray the fuck out of it and it will be running like new
Not getting bogged down more sounding bogged down like it’s struggling or lost power
Yep I feel ever since Covid they’re not making them as sturdy as they were before , maybe that’s in my head but speaking to other barbers and colleagues everyone seems to think the same , motor’s definitely not as good as a few years ago
