      PC Stevens = A+
He is trying to Train a Trainee to be as Polite as he is, but the Trainee is having a Difficult time imitating him, because the Trainee is insecure and feels the need to jump on you very aggressively and push his ID Right up to your chin in order to try to do his job.
Trainees should be let go. He is not made of the Right Stuff.
I find Prince Harry and Prince William very compationate and Calm when they approach people in Public, why can't all PCs be Trained to Behave Politely and be Good Listeners like PC Stevens?
      God Bless the Queen!

@@MrDenis7p Agreed - At timeline 04:10 - when the respectful young cop mentioned the PUBLIC were concerned,... AB rightly corrected him by stating the CORPORATIONS were concerned,... and the POLICE should not be more concerned about CORPORATE issues than bonafide PUBLIC ones like the aggressive attitude of most POLICE and PCO's towards the members of the PUBLIC when FILMING all they can see from the public areana.
      .
(note: that PCO was bang out of order,... and show how a control freak - 'joe shmoe member of the public' - will ACT when he has a High VIS jacket on !!! - bloody disgrace )

I think AB overreacted HUGELY with the PCSO’s approach. He obviously dislikes 👎🏼 them cos their not coopers. He didn’t do anything wrong at all but doesn’t like them. Massively over the top again. 1) are you recording? 2) what’s your shoulder number are the ‘old classics’ which he thinks will rille them up.
If every copper 👮‍♀️ interacted the way the PC did AB’s channel would be pretty boring I guess as ppl want the flare ups & arguments.

Mike P abuse what power walk off they can't stop you ,they don't have the power to detain you or put their hands on you they can follow but get on a bus they don't follow then 😂 police haven't got much power when you have done nothing illegal they have to act within the law when they are on camera or your solicitor takes them to the cleaners , theirs a reason why solicitors exist they went to law school unlike the police they enforce laws and tell you lies that don't exist but always film they try to keep the lies to a minimum then and you have proof of what unlawful act took place, pointless making a complaint without evidence because police will deny any wrong doing and technically they can legally lie but filming them would show how corrupt they are

I thought these two 'actual' police officers conducted themselves with upmost respect. This video is actually a good advert for appropriate behaviour when policing. No immediate bias here and good awareness of your basic freedom so props to these guys. I just hope that future police officers can adopt this level of respect and I think your channel serves it's purpose for that reason. This channel deserves to grow and therefore aid police departments nationwide in realising that they should behave with a level of common decency and respect with regard people's basic rights. Nice job AB 👍

All you need to tell them is that you are a "Citizen Journalist"
Their own guidelines ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) clearly state that:
There are no powers prohibiting the taking of photographs, film or digital images in a public place. Therefore members of the public and press should not be prevented from doing so.
    They also add....
•We need to cooperate with the media and amateur photographers. They play a vital role as their images help us identify criminals.
•We must acknowledge that citizen journalism is a feature of modern life and police officers are now photographed and filmed more than ever.
•Unnecessarily restricting photography, whether for the casual tourist or professional is unacceptable and it undermines public confidence in the police service.
•Once an image has been recorded, the police have no power to delete or confiscate it without a court order.

I agree with you absolutely about that one guy. His manner was very aggressive, unfriendly and intimidating and this is totally un-necessary as the two officers demonstrated. Unfortunately there are many officers who think it's acceptable to act in this intimidating way to members of the public that have done nothing wrong.

    • @jaseman
      @jaseman 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I've been thinking about this a bit more and asking myself - 'Why was he behaving that way?' I concluded that he personally disagrees with you filming in public, so his personal views are interfering with his job and he's not remaining impartial. He's having to abide by a law he doesn't agree with and that is affecting his behaviour. You see this happening on the side of members of the public as well - They are forced to follow rules they completely don't agree with. When the officers are able to use some law against you and get their way - and forcefully change what you are doing - they get a kick out of that - that is why they are in that job - it's nothing to do with protecting people or serving the community - it's about feeling powerful.

the police work for everyone, from protecting your private property such as your house and you as an individual to protecting private property such as a jewellery shop to a banks money, they try this to the best of their ability (maybe not achieving that much). The police haven't had a pay rise for the past 6 years and its a toll on them, also the damage done to your body working as a police officer on patrol with average shifts of around 15 hours, they don't have an easy job and people like the camera man don't make it easier.

Matters of public interest. The fact that the police is being called to «investigate» a person with a camera on the street is most certainly a matter of public interest. Is it really too much to ask that the police leave you alone when you do absolutely nothing wrong. And how anyone can think that photography in public can be seen as something to worry about is absolutely absurd to me. But , i am a hobby photographer, so i see things from that perspective.
