I have had the Edge 50 Ultra for a week, and have the colour set to 'Natural'. One thing I noticed was how disappointing photos looked when viewed on the phone's screen. A completely different story when viewed on a computer's screen. I am very impressed with the performance of the cameras. WIthout activating the Night Mode, night photos looked very natural. Looking forward to your full review.
The display colour settings certainly make a big difference - I'm leaning towards the Vivid mode for everyday use, switching to Natural for video etc. And yeah, those night shots are looking good, although I'm getting some blurry pics with the kid/cats!
@@TechSpurt Considering my test night shots were hand held at 1/6 to1/10 seconds with crazily high ISO speeds of 12000 to 17000 I was astounded by the image quality.
I bet those ear buds are not "worth" £129. That's just what moto charge for them to wow people with a great offer! They are probably no different to the crap found on temu

I have, I think, the first gen Moto Edge, bought mid-2020. And I'm really liking the thing. But it's starting to show it's age, and every time a new Motorola flagship-ish device I get that slight itch that "time to buy". I'm so used to the camera and light movements now, that getting a non-Motorola would be hard. Now just if the cameras in these were at least above-average, and not just another set of run-of-the-mill snappers. Then it'd be a nobrainer at this point. Otherwise the Pixel series do have that advantage, together with better OS updates. Hmm. Thanks Tech Spurt for continuing these reviews. They are quick and informative, giving a great insight whether it's a phone that could check the boxes you need, or not.

The first 125W charger I've seen. I would do most charging MUCH slower overnight. The key issue with Motorola in the past has been limited or slow updates - have they FIXED that? Sorry to hear about your Wrist issues, are you left handed? Try a vertical mouse, it can help.
just taken delivery of my Edge 50 Ultra in Nordic Wood. Black Friday discount and a further 15% off means I got a powerhouse phone for £551. So far so good. Massive 1 terabyte of storage . Fast, bright and as far as 'I'm concerned an absolute bargain.
I think you should try this.. When you talking about sound and loudness, you play no copyright sound for batter review. And about camera review, you should drop a google drive link for perfect picture , so people can see original quality of picture and batter experience. And last about price range about phone.. You should toke about this.. This is my point of view,, thank you.. ❤❤
Indian people doesn't like 4500 mah battery at all. Though Motorola has given 125 watt charger in the box. It is very good thing. But company should have given 5000mah battery.
I have the Edge Plus 2023, America probably different name. I have had this phone for about 6 months now I got it for $600 on locked at Best buy 100% was the best bang for your buck phone you could get at the time. Beautiful display great battery life charges quickly never misses a beat. Flagship specs for half the price. I will be honest though the only spot were this phone kind of falls short compared to all the other flagships is definitely the cameras they do great like most cameras and well lit environments but they definitely struggle in darker environments. I am not saying the cameras are bad at all they are definitely above average or mid-range but they do not compare to the iPhone/ Samsung flagship cameras

@@terrym540 kept my Pixel 4a until yesterday. Only reason I had to leave it was due to battery lasting 2h active use and peace's of the back plastic back falling out. So if it works, not really.

great phone but it's very expensive... 3 years of updating and 8s is difficult... in Brazil it's more expensive than the s23 ultra which is better in everything!!! I would buy the 50 pro, I think it is the most balanced in the line
The notification can be put onto the lock screen but you need to de-select skip lock screen in the home screen settings. Tbf the phone comes with terrible out of the box settings but with a few tweaks it's fine

I ran Geekbench 6 on the Edge+ 2023 (probably identical to the Edge 40 Pro). It's about 5% higher than the numbers shown in this video. Well now I do believe some of the comments here. Still waiting for a full review and (hopefully) trying it in stores first.

@Oldasianguy it's true. The Edge series started off with a curved edge screen. But over the years and generations, the flat screen has become the norm. For some reason I'm not sure why but most mid-range Chinese OEM phones this year have curved edges. By the way, Moto Edge series is branded Moto X in China.

In China Mainland market we call it Moto X50Ultra, starts from 550usd(12+256g) to 650usd(16+1tb). Moto X50U is not a good choice in June 2024. Best value phone today is Redmi K70(8gen2) which only costs 250usd. Or if you want to buy high-end one, pick Xiaomi 14Ultra 800usd or Oppo Find x7ultra 700usd.
Oneplus 12 is definitely a better option for the same money. Oneplus outclasses the Edge 50 Utra in every respect. The camera in the 50 Ultra is overrated.
