Y'all have the best campsite reviews hands down. Because of your reviews we have booked site 22 at Sawnee, 11 at Crooked River and are waiting to book site 7 at W.P. Franklin. Thank y'all so much!!! It is so hard to book sight unseen so this is a lifesaver. We truly appreciate y'all doing this!

Thank you so much, Claudia. You’re going to LOVE those campgrounds and specifically those sites you mentioned.
Like you, we had trouble trying to see individual sites when trying to book. We appreciated others who provided campground reviews, even if they weren’t great videos, because something was better than nothing. So we committed to producing them and trying to do a decent job. We don’t do it for all campgrounds, though. Some are just too big, or all sites in some are the same, but when we can review one, we do. In fact, stay tuned for our walkthrough of Ortona Locks Campground, a COE park about 40 mins east of WP Franklin, another exceptional location. That should be up in 2 weeks or so. Hint on that one: Site 26. :-)
Thank you for watching. We so appreciate your comment and encouragement!

Thanks for a lovely walk through. It’s helping me decide about tent spots.

Thanks for the comment, Nina. I recall there being a section specifically designed for tenters, although I think you can have a tent in any campsite. The specific area was sites 11-15 or something like that. There was also a section right along the water where they marked off sites A, B, and C. You could only get there by parking a short distance away and then hiking several hundred yards to get there, but it was worth it for the views at those sites.
Good luck with your adventures! Let us know how you liked Sawnee after your visit.

Thanks for this video! I am making notes in my Army Corp of Engineers Parks book. How was cell signal?

Hey Vincent. Cell was “average” (around 2 bars). We have a cell signal extender so it got us to 3 or 4 bars.
      Thanks for watching!

Does it have a shelter or pavilion?

Makes one wonder why the army is involved...
