As an adult male I realized one thing about pot. It makes a not ok situation ok for people. I’m an Army veteran of Afghanistan and have many many friends that use daily, hourly. I would say 90% of them are ok with a shit life. All their wives run their households. They make crap money and never work out. They are just ok with getting high and getting by. Weeds makes you feel better by blocking out the work that needs to be done. If you “need” it to feel normal then this is your sign to get help. Go to therapy. Go work out and get your shit together. You shouldn’t need a plant to be normal.
Many marijuana users use it as an escape from the machine that is society. The context matters in drug use. Americans see marijuana just like anything else, when in fact it must be treated with respect.

I could tell when I would smoke quite a bit, I could feel a little psychosis. Almost as if you live in a different reality given the cannabis’s effect on your brain.
I started watching this channel some 3 months ago when I finally decided not to take a break but to stop using cannabis after about 7 years of daily use. I've mostly vaped ground flower. I must say i stopped watching your videos because they're horrifying. Just how strong weed and weed concentrates are sold in the US? I'm quite glad my experiences aren't as bad as you portray. The first few weeks were a bit harsh with cravings now I don't have those, mostly just miss some good indica on occassions of relaxation. I must also mention that i did buy the NAC supplement, it did provide almost immediate relief from the crawings, maybe some 10 minutes after eating a capsule. N-Acyl-L-Cystein. I've remained eating one in the morning and in the evening with my other supplements - vitamins. Thankfully this sort of a psychosis you two are discussing here is something unheard of in my immediate circles.

Ignore or the religious commenter above and also be aware of the (poorly worded) medical advice in this video. Its extremely rare for sure. I've smoked with many people over the years too and known many stones and nobody went psychotic. I agree with you it's crazy
By age 25, I knew at least 4 people who had psychosis and were hospitalized. 1 or 2 have recovered. 2 will never be normal again, I think. They had reoccurring episodes of psychosis. It's been 5+ years, and they are still living in an imaginary world, dependent on others. They all smoked on a daily basis, but they also did other drugs sporadically.

Avoid terms such as “paranoid schizophrenia” when such subtypes are no longer used and it ends up being misleading information. That subtype is marked by positive symptoms (false beliefs, disorganised speech/thoughts). Cannabis misuse activating the disorder on a long term basis would leave the patient with primarily negative symptoms (reduced motivation, loss of pleasure, social isolation etc). A more appropriate term would be “disorganised schizophrenia”. The patient may show positive symptoms during active phases but if you’re suggesting symptoms of psychiatric illness remain for the rest of their lives, they’ll be more prone to negative symptoms, which still don’t make one a danger to themselves/others, just socially inconvenient and may reduce independent living capacity.
Who else is here only because the thumbnail looked like someone in the midst of experiencing a cannabis induced psychotic episode? As for the premise of this talk, I'm skeptical. Correlation does not equal or prove causation. Why didn't we see a high incidence of this issue all through the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and -2000s? Why suddenly now? I anticipate NPCs will explain the high THC rates in modern strains and products, but I suspect that is far too simplistic and there could more in play here. I'm not a user or advocate by the way. Used to enjoy it in my teens but felt it wasn't much fun at all once I got older and had kids.
Lol. That is why I clicked. Skepticism is awesome but let me offer my perspective. I think the main driver is almost 100 percent the potency issue and the new types of products. Of course, psychosocial factors will affect outcomes, and, of course, other addictions, some psychiatric meds, and/or social atomization will increase psychosis risk. It would be silly to say that the only thing at play is the drug. But, the drug's forms have changed with the times in a fast and dangerous way. Of course there were extract products around in the 60s, but it was all, like, hash products, which include the CB noids and don't approach anywhere near 100% THC content by weight. And, I will be the first to admit, I was not alive then, so I cannot be certain what's true. Yet, I am confident that access to 100% THC products is the newest and most pressing issue in this space. As a user who's seeking help, the major development in the past less-than-a-decade has been the proliferation of ready-to-use disposable vape devices filled with 100% THC, or worse, synthetic THCs like HHC, HXC, THC-O, etc. While these aren't quite as dangerous as many of the "spice" cannabinoids that do exist, there are soooooo many legal items available in the USA which perhaps should have been regulated to begin with in the 2016 Farm Bill. These are so convenient to acquire and use, and so, so, much more potent than you might imagine as a non-user. Depends on the user, many know their limits or have acutely bad outcomes, but yes the pure THC experience can be seriously addictive. I think it is pretty clear, based on what I see being cultivated and sold, why this is taking off nowadays as opposed to in past decades.

Ignore or the religious commenter above and also be aware of the (poorly worded) medical advice in this video.
Assuming it’s cannabis only, the likelihood of permanent psychiatric illness would dependent on at least 2 of the following:
1) close relative/s with psychiatric illness characterised by schizophrenia-spectrum/affective symptoms illness.
2) substance misuse disorder.
3) environmental factors reducing psychological well-being (poverty, stress etc).
@@1Teymo-fv4slbro I got all 3 especially number one… I’m fine dude 😂😂 I don’t run any empires or see witches or devils… what he’s talking about may be true but he’s over exaggerating it… I live in Philly bro everybody and their mom smokes.. maybe they should be more worried at what fentanyl is doing to people.. come check out Kensington
Hey Doc, just quit a week ago. Have quit a few times throughout life and never really had withdrawal symptoms. This one is rough but I’m getting through it. I have a weird symptom and was wondering if you have Ever heard of anybody else experiencing this. I am dealing with premature ejaculation. Is that normal? Never in my life had this problem. If so what is the timeline for it to go away? Thanks!
Facts 😂 the misso is hating it
@ so this is normal lol?
@@codyfrasier2897 not 100% sure however it's happening to me rn and I'm 4 days clean
@@codyfrasier2897 I'm going through it so I guess so 😅
@@codyfrasier2897 Very. Wait till the psychosis hits harder and the whole city begins laughing at your PE issues😂.
50 years old smoked every day since 17 I know of one person in my whole life that went psychotic
You sure you not got people messing with your weed in your area ?
Its extremely rare for sure. I've smoked with many people over the years too and known many stones and nobody went psychotic. I agree with you it's crazy
@@akgstone Maybe vary high THC strains with little or no CBD being absolutely abused by idiots looking for a high with no respect for the herb?
By age 25, I knew at least 4 people who had psychosis and were hospitalized. 1 or 2 have recovered. 2 will never be normal again, I think. They had reoccurring episodes of psychosis. It's been 5+ years, and they are still living in an imaginary world, dependent on others.
They all smoked on a daily basis, but they also did other drugs sporadically.
@AlexR-yx5bk well that make sense that they were using other drugs in conjunction with marijuana
@@AlexR-yx5bk terrible situation, I bet high THC strains paid a role in this
8:49 in various spiritual communities, others would say… This is a gateway drug in regards to accessing certain energetic fields/different, spiritual stuff… That we should not be, … that is not meant for people to be dabbling in
Aren't these studies based off just USA so its not a general study across the board its just one country?
The carts be 90% I used to smoke em sun up to sun down for years
May they also try Magic Mushroom..?
always in a safe settings,, closed area, with someone, planned well, safe dose, etc... not recommending it if anyone has issues mentally tho.
Or maybe they could stop with the drug use and seek God instead. Mushrooms are just as dangerous for some.
Ive never recovered.
How about we do not privatize mental patient intake at for-profit facilities. So many wasted psych facilities. Willard Upstate NY. Would love to hear this, with alcohol. Alcohol kills you. Could not find a a bed in the whole state of NY for a friend that was coming off of alcohol. Pennsylvania is where she went. This a joke.
Just ordered my chews. Didn't get the breather because I found a cheaper and cute one
No worries! The problem with the other breathers is very few of them have airway resistance. They are just like hollow tubes. We have an insert inside ours that actually slows down breathing and feels like you’re taking a drag off of a vape or cigarette when you inhale.
With that being said, we have some really cool new ones coming in.
nonetheless! I hope you enjoy the gum as much as I do that’s honestly the more important of the two products 😂 thanks for the support! Much much apprcejted
What about CBD?
It’s non psychoactive assuming you have a quality CBD product that has third-party testing and legitimate ingredients
Doing Gods work thank you!
just picked up a 6 month chip for booze...and more proud actually of making it through week 2 of no weed...for real....did not think i would make it...but ugh triggered more lately and fighting the lies in my brain saying it ok to go get a pre-roll etc....i want to believe the woo woo that i been experiencing is real and not psychosis so i will not give in and hope i can tap in to the spiritual naturally....
this should be well known the fact that people generally belive that weed is not like trying using drugs is dangerous this could have prevented me from starting .. I never thought of it like doing drugs it was just a plant that has those effects and I also was thinking I was healing my body too while using it.. or going to a higher level of healing and connections and so i thought.. while the opposite was happening 😅
Dr Frank: Is Dr Kindred still on a 10 mbps connection? Tell him he needs to upgrade his internet connection. Also he's very intelligent, like you. Would love to see more interviews with him
Wow. I’m so sad. I feel betrayed. I’m quitting marijuana. I need to see a psychiatrist…
I use nothing but edibles. 10mg. I know for sure I’ve had several episodes.
praying for you brother. its a dark place to be in but theres light at the end of the tunnel and its better on the other side
give ur life to Jesus he can heal you but you must seek sincerely he loves you
Dont smoke or use edibles. Its a garbage drug that steals your life away and your health and time and money
Ok … the scientist in me … and the weed smoking …. Can just no longer agree …. Been quitting off and on for too long
I believe it would benefit our culture on an individual basis to understand the difference between medicine and drug.
You got to quit referring to everything as weed or cannabis. Just say THC
🤡

This “doctor” obviously doesn’t know the difference between marijuana and methamphetamine😂
Lmfao
I remember with my ex I smoked I was seeing the devil in my head. But thank god I did not hit the blunt hard.
You have to be careful yes. But this Dr. is a quack.
A psychoactive substance has something to to with psychotic breaks
